Our stay at the Three Little Birds was fantastic. The pictures are very accurate. This was the first week of our retirement and celebration of our 41st wedding anniversary. The house has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. Kitchen is well stocked. The pool was wonderful. The hot tub was gear in the evening. Looking forward to next year (already booked)

We had a wonderful week at Seven Seas! The home is beautiful and sooo close to the ocean! The views from the upper deck are great. The furnishings are comfy and the huge dining table was surrounded nightly by family and friends! We cooked every night but one. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. When we were too hot at the beach we retired to the pool and floated. The basement has lots of floats, toys and chairs. The bedrooms were very nice and we used the ping pong table nightly. We had the good luck to see a deer walk by on the dune ... very special!

Despite the bad weather, we had a wonderful time. The house was very well equipped with games and a pool table. I can’t say enough good about Southern Shores Realty. They are professional, caring and treat their clients like family. Their hospitality gifts are an added bonus! We have rented our beach homes from Southern Shores for many years and will continue to do so in the future.

We were celebrating our 50th with children and grandchildren all 16 of us. The house was perfect for a group, plenty of common space, games and great activities; large heated swimming pool, volley ball court, pool table, bicycles, walking distance(2 short blocks) to beautiful beach, plenty of sleeping options, great bunk room, ample bathrooms, kitchen well stocked with utensils, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, wonderful large multilevel decks. Check in and out all electronic and simple.

Wonderful location and right on the beach, with easy beach access! We had 5 adults and a 2 year old, seeking a relaxing getaway for the entire family - this house had everything we needed including a play kitchen which our granddaughter loved! It's close to Duck, where we found some great restaurants and shops. Only issues were the microwave was not working, but there was a spare in the closet which we pulled out to use. It also had a huge amount of houseflies- we killed many and reported it to the rental company. Southern Shores realty was great to work with for this rental and they were very responsive. Would def consider staying at the Blue Moon again!

What a great experience! Incredible house and beach. Unfortunately the weather was cold and rainy but our rental house was perfect in creating a plan B with board games, puzzles and lots of space with many accommodations . Every beach area has its own unique persona. The Outer Banks has its own beautiful quiet relaxed chill to it. Each town there has its special personality of upscale, midscale, funkiness, mellow and/or sportiness. Besides the ocean, there's the bay too. We've been coming for decades and always use Southern Shores Realty. They have a huge selection of properties to consider. Their staff is incredibly experienced, responsive, available and friendly. Luv em.

Our nineth stay with Southern Shores was excellent, as were the eight preceeding visits. The cottage is perfect for our family and the Southern Shores staff is professional and friendly. We we have identified a need (following storms), their response is timely and prompt.

Nothing but great service while prepping for a late summer vacation. We were worried we would find nothing with all our desired features and requested price point so late in the game. SSR provided some great choices we never imagined. To our surprise, they found a great hideaway spot that was ideal. The house was great, and they checked in routinely to ensure everything was going good. I highly recommend them versus trying to find a place on your own.

My family and I have stayed with many realty companies in the Outer Banks, but we love Southern Shores Realty the most. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the houses are always clean. Our pups love the beach, so the broad selection of pet-friendly homes is a plus. Another great family trip is in the books thanks to Southern Shores Realty!

We appreciate the stellar service provided by Sputhern Shores. We stayed in three different properties, Salty Lab, Lofty Virw and Aquatius throughout the year. All of the properties were in a great location only steps away from the beach and dog friendly. Aquarius is a new property and the accommodations were extraordinary.

This home was a great vacation property! The location on a quiet street allowed us to enjoy all the many outside decks. All of the outside furniture was of great quality. The pool was large and with 6 teenage boys, it was well used. The inside was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The AC worked well and the elevator came in handy! Beach access was close by… there were steps to go up/down to the beach but the beach was very nice. Great vacation!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Pittsport #0378! The house was a perfect size for our family of three couples and a few children, and well accommodated throughout. The kitchen was stocked with every kind of utensil, dishes, and even leftover containers and chip bag clips! We loved the wrap around porches all over the house, accessible to each bedroom. Two of our favorite spots were the swing on the lower level and the hammock on the main bedroom area level. The outdoor shower was great after being at the beach, and the walk to the beach was an easy one, even with small kids. We had only one minor difficulty, which the owner took care of immediately. We were quite impressed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The.vacation home we rented from Southern Shores Realty was perfect for our Outer Banks vacation. It had everything we needed and the location was amazing, just a short walk across the street from the beach and a short drive to so many fun attractions! The staff took care of all our needs!!

This home was perfect for our family of 5. Short walk to the beach in a nice neighborhood. Food Lion down the road with shops and restaurants nearby. The house has everything you need with modern kitchen and appliances. We’ve been to OBX many times and this is one of our favorite locations.

Our stay was perfect -- even through the edge of Hurricane Ian that touched the Outer Banks while we were there. Our house was perfect for our family and the staff at Southern Shores Realty couldn't have been nicer. Our property was ready early and they helped us get in early; they helped us deal with deck furniture so it wouldn't blow away and answered other housekeeping type questions I had (yes, it's OK to not put the trash and recycling out during high winds), and were just generally very reassuring that my questions were appropriate and welcome. We're definitely going back!

We had a great experience with Southern Shores Realty!! They were kind, always communicated well and even let us in EARLY to our unit when it was done being cleaned at no extra charge. When we got in our unit there was toilet paper and soaps to get us started. Everyone we interacted with was so kind. Will use them again!!

We had a great stay at the Goss a mer house in Duck. We had a minor issue with a door handle and a Southern Shores staff member came quickly and was very attentive, polite and fixed our issue! The house was very clean, the furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked! Great stay and will definitely use Southern Shores in the future!

I've been renting our annual beach house(s) through Southern Shores since 2019. We've stayed at three different homes in the Outer Banks- Gander Inn in Kill Devil Hills twice, My Tern in Kitty Hawk once, and Happy Days in Southern Shores last week. Every year Vanessa has been my point of contact and she is always responsive, helpful, and goes above and beyond to ensure her clients' needs are met. We have enjoyed all of the homes we've rented, and love that they are pet friendly. Our goal every year is to have the right amount of room for our family, close proximity to the beach, and a layout that is conducive to our needs. While we have enjoyed the homes we've rented in previous years, Happy Days exceeded our expectations! It is steps away from the beach and hidden away on a beautiful tree lined block. The kitchen was fully stocked, which is important to our family since we cook daily. Outside there are several options for relaxing on the wrap around deck. There are TVs in every room, the house was very clean, and the furniture in the common areas was very comfortable. My husband and I were able to set up our 'office' without compromising any of the shared space. As a Real Estate agent, I recognize the details of a home and the quality of a rental company. With that said, I highly recommend Southern Shores for your next vacation rental! Thank you to Vanessa and the rest of the staff for helping us make lasting memories at the beach :)

Southern Shores is very attentive to renters needs. The home we stayed in -- Duckaway -- was clean, well-stocked, and in a great location. For beach lovers, it is a very short walk away. I highly recommend Southern Shores as your beach rental agent.
