Effective dog training. Rob was a wonderful trainer. He was friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. He made the lessons easily digestible and set myself and my dog up for success.

Dog training is mostly training the human to be able to better communicate with a motivate your dog to be a better dog.

I think I learned more than my dog did. A good dog is the gift that keeps on giving so I’m glad I started early.

I highly recommend.

We have trusted Woof in the Woods with helping us train our two Boykin puppies. The experience has been fantastic! Their approach is based on positive reinforcement and consistency. We are grateful for the direction they have given us. We have been approached by strangers and told how wonderful our pups are- they are right! Thanks to good training!

Amazing trainers and super helpful training feedback for us. Chris is highly recommended, Rob and all the staff are wonderful. We are currently in week 5 of the 7-week basic obedience class and our dog has become so much more polite, observant, and responsive to us. Great results.

My husband and I are so grateful for all the support we have received from Woof in the Woods while training our German Shepherd to be the best life companion. When we started training with them, our dog was so nervous that she hid behind my legs. Through basic and intermediate group classes at Woof in the Woods, she gained some self- confidence and has been coming out of her shell. We continue to participate in the pack hikes, brewery trips, and drop in classes at Woof and always have a great time! The staff always seems to have solutions or advice for any issues we experience, which is so helpful for us as first-time German Shepherd owners. Would definitely recommend Woof in the Woods for all your obedience training needs!

Woof in the Woods is amazing! Our little 8 lb.fur baby that was rescued in Feb.was so sweet and scared of everything. Soon he became an out of control little man! His timidness quickly became aggression once we got him healthy. He was out of control! One visit with Rob(it was a long one) and he is like a different dog plus I have the knowledge now to know how to deal with this active, terrier mix. Thank you Woof in the Woods for helping us have a better life together. You're the Best!

I started going to Woof in the Woods 9 months ago to make sure the small dog we rescued wouldn't end up being the stereotypical yappy, jumping, annoying small dog I was used to seeing. I ended up getting a whole lot more.

I've attended 4 class series (beginner obedience twice, recall, and intermediate), several 1 on 1 sessions, some drop in training, and have taken my dog to Woof for Friday socializations and boarding. We're scheduled for the agility training series and anticipate retaking the intermediate course again in the near future since you can retake the core classes with their open door policy. Needless to say, in 9 months I've gotten a solid spread of their offered services and everything has been a stellar experience.

In working with Tracy and Rob at Woof in the Woods, I discovered a love and understanding of dogs I didn't even know I was missing. They've given me the confidence to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments and have a joyful experience doing so.

We did a 7 week Basic Obedience and Manners group class with Rob and spent an hour each week learning a new skill that we would then go home and practice. Cora (and my husband & I) genuinely looked forward to class each week. It is encouraged to bring the dogs for a half hour of play with their classmates before the lesson starts, and Cora benefited tremendously from this. It helped her play off some excitement and then be able to focus on training. The environment is welcoming, communication is friendly and direct, and a sincere care for each dog's success is felt by everyone at Woof in the Woods. We also appreciated how accommodating Tracy and Rob were with scheduling a make up class after we went out of town and had to miss a class. It really shows how much they value a dog's success from their program.
5 stars all the way!

I would give Woof in the Woods 10 stars if I could! We completed a 3 week basic obedience course with trainer Rob and our energetic and strong willed GSP. While we are still working on improving a lot of what we learned, we already have a changed pup! I was able to bring my dog to work at an office with me for the first time and had no problems. She got a ton of compliments on her behavior! This is a huge accomplishment, could not recommend this place more for training!

The trainers are all very good. They do not use too many treats like some other trainers. Our puppy learned a lot in the basic class. Since he is so young we are going to take advantage of their open door policy and take the class again. This is a great benefit.

Woof in the woods has been fantastic with our dog! We just finished the basic class this past week and we will continue to do any future trainings with woof in the woods. Chris, Tracy and Rob are all great when it came to helping us with general questions, training or gear for our dog. I couldn't recommend a better place to train your dog!

We have been working with this team in training our new Aussie Doodle. Their methods really work- private class was excellent and got us on to a great start! We have really enjoyed the basic obedience group classes too! Great to socialize our puppy with other dogs and they follow good CoVID safety guidance!

I went with my friend to her new puppy's training classes and I'm glad I did! The difference with how the puppy was at the beginning to how she was at the end of the 7 week course was night and day. The instructors are so patient and you can tell that they love what they do. If you have a new little four-legged friend that needs training, give Woof in the Woods a call!

Woof in the Woods has helped us create stability, safety, and clarity for our anxious puppy, and it's changed the lives of ALL of us! We had Nellie board and train, and the whole family just finished the beginning lessons. Everyone at Woof is so knowledgable and patient- we've enjoyed working with Tracy, Rob, and Chris so much, and our pup Nellie Pea loves them all!

We are into our 2nd level of training, and the staff and instructors really know their stuff! They give great individual attention too. They have helped my timid rescue pup grow more confident. I recommend them to everyone, no matter how far in training they want to take their dog. We are so lucky!!

I cannot say enough good things about them and their staff! I take all 4 of my dogs there for training, to shop, and socialization! I get great results and they treat the animals so good! My dogs start crying as soon as we pull in, and can't get out of the car fast enough to go play! I definitely recommend them!!! The training is fantastic!!!!

On a different note, it's so saddening to see people make fake profiles to put down such a fantastic company. Clearly they have a hidden agenda when they can't own up to their own comment. I owned and operated my own Dog Daycare, Boarding, Grooming and trading facility in Chicago and am extremely cautious and picky where I will take my pups. I grilled them and their training techniques among many other things. The tools they use are only when/if needed. I stand behind them 100%.

All the staff there have blended over backwards to accommodate my dogs and their needs. Definitely give them a try!!!! :)

Brought our pitbull puppy, Blue to the 7 week K9 obedience training and the difference in him is amazing! I was extremely anxious about having a puppy with a newborn on the way, I now feel much more comfortable since he has completed the 7 week course. Thank you Steve and Chris for the wonderful services you offer. We will be back for further training and would recommend their services to everyone! Thank you so much again!!

I adopted a terrier and quickly realized I had no idea how to handle her behaviors and correct her. I took 1 private from Tracy and was hooked! We just finished the basic obedience class with Chris and I couldn’t have asked for better results. Over the 7 week course we learned all the basic commands necessary for a well behaved dog but most importantly I gained the tools to correct, praise and train my dog (Ginger). I developed a stronger bond with Ginger during the class since she now understood her role in our household. The group trainer, Chris, was direct, efficient and extremely competent. It was worth every penny!!! Do not go anywhere else for any kind of dog training!

Their method just makes sense. We have done private lessons & completed our first group class series. My pup & I are making great improvements that will be easy to stick to!

I can not recommend Woof in the Woods enough. If you need training, boarding, socialization, advice or healthy food and treats this is your one stop shop! Rob transformed both my dogs life and my own. I am already thrilled with the work we’ve done, but am excited to continue on this learning journey with my favorite girl, Breezy! Best money we have ever spent!

My dog, George, loved boarding and training here! We’ve also taken the basic obedience classes. Tracy, Chris, and Rob are so dedicated in not only teaching your dog, but also YOU (kind of the most important part!). They have great reasonable prices and a wonderful selection of products in their store. Check them out!
