This store is amazing. Lots of different types of fish. Great selection of African Cichlids, and they have fry to adult sizes. They have shrimp too. Highly recommend!! Picture is of an OB malawi eye biter that I got from The Evolved Fish.

This place is fish heaven 🐠 only shop in our area that carries axolotls. They have a HUGGGEEE selection with very uncommon fish, plants, driftwood, snails, and soooo many shrimp 🦐 Lee and Craig are the nicest, most helpful, & well educated in all things fishy!! The best fish store I've found in WNC by far! The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. They have everything from nano fish to large, rare cichlids to sea urchins and plenty of drift wood too.

Definitely my favorite aquatic store. The people who work there are super friendly and knowledgeable. They have a pretty large variety of fish and bioactive. Anyone looking for their forever fish store, look no further.

Found out about this shop a few months ago and visited again a few weeks ago. I didn't know there were so many different types of freshwater fish that you can have in your home! Lots of beautiful colors and interesting looking fish! Small staff, but the owner is VERY involved and knows his stuff!

Great fish shop. They were the only place in the area that had what we were looking for, and it was also the cleanest. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff, and friendly shop doggo. I'll be going to the evolved fish first from now on.

Update: shopped here about a dozen times over the last year or so, and it remains my favorite fish store in the area. The guys that run the place are great, and are really passionate about fishkeeping.

Awesome place with great people they have tons of variety of fish and the best variety of shrimp I've seen in Asheville. Tons of hard scape and plants too.

All of the fish I had gotten had came from them and always been super healthy, especially the bettas which at most stores are in small cups, but here they have them with other fish.

Stopped in here for the first time and had a great experience! The owner had such a friendly, helpful, and humble attitude. I don't even have cichlids but definitely want to support this local business!

I am from a different state and I must say the saltwater selection here was the most organized and cleanest with a fantastic selection at the best prices I have seen. The staff went above and beyond to help me with what I wanted and went one step further to help insure my plane ride was successful even after being tossed around and no heat pack in a carryon bag the coral I purchased opened immediately! Huge shout out to these guys!

Best fish store hands down anywhere near Asheville. They are fair with pricing and have unique fish that other places don’t have. They care about the fish and every time I go the tanks are in perfect condition and clean. They will teach you about anything you need to know as well. Great selection of nano fish too

Owners were super nice and very knowledgeable!! I got some driftwood for my new aquarium, and my frogs absolutly love it! :)

Competitive pricing on there corals, all the corals I have bought from them are thriving in my tanks, will be coming back for more!

Get yourself some new aquatic friends here! The staff is great and there's an awesome selection of fish, snails, and other aquatic buddies. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Support your local fish store. There aren't enough in this area. I bought 12 beautiful, healthy African cichlids here. I wish they had more of a selection of fish, but I would rather drive further to buy fish here than go to any pet store chain.
