The Car People

I went around Winston Salem, Looking at all types of cars. I only had 800 to put down on a new car because mines just broke down. Everybody kept telling me no. I went to The Car People with the mindset they were going to turn me away also. Its like everybody wanted 1200/1500 on a use car. I had the pleasure of interacting with my sale rep Brandon. He was able to work some numbers out, get me approved just based off my income and get me in the car I wanted. I had a great experience with this company. I would recommend them to anybody I know that's in the market for a used vehicle for a low reasonable price. Thank you The Car People, I love my GMC Envoy.

Brandon is a great dude, I was in and out quickly! I got a great deal and I couldn't be happier. If I ever need another car I know where to look first!

I simply love working with the Sales team of this establishment. They are not out to sell cars at the expense of their customers, but rather they are putting their customers in the cars that are right for them. Amazing customer service. Amazing knowledge of the Auto Industry. I would definitley recommend my friends and business associates to frequent this company for a solid, quality auto, tailored to their needs.

Great Customer service. Very professional Staff. I only used the UHaul service portion of the business, and they do sell cars. The Customers that were there discussing an auto deal appeared to be pleased with their interchange with Staff, and this is all I can say vis-a-vis auto sales.

Would recommend the car people to anyone. Very guinuine and friendly.people. Had a great experience and will definitely send business their way.

I dont know which rating would be appropriate because I ended up having to have surgery before the purchase. I looked at a nice Toyota Avalon that drove great. The check engine light popped on after a long test drive alone, and I notified the salesman. He said they would get the problem fixed and I ended up having to need surgery for a health issue shortly thereafter. The car was nice, the management was very responsive and based on my prepurchase experience, I can only honestly say they I had a good experience here. I would give them my business based on the aforementioned.

VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! RIPOFF!!! Nice guy, but……. Bought a Honda Civic that had issues the dealer said he would fix. Did not fix issues the car had before we bought it and we had paid him to fix them!! I have a text from the dealer stating he fixed it. Took it back, he said it was fixed. It came back with more issues than when it left and the issues were not fixed. Check engine light kept coming on. I understand dealerships sell cars “as is”, but don’t sell them when YOU KNOW the vehicle has issues!! Rigged it up to make a sale!! We have had to fix EVERYTHING he listed on the text that he said he fixed and some!! I feel he should have taken the car back and returned our money!! God don't like ugly and he can take care of you way better than I can. TIP:::: BE HONEST WITH PEOPLE. YOUR WORD IS YOUR BOND! YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!

Wouldn’t recommend business with this dude at all. he hooks you up with insurance that’s incorrect just to solidify a sale then tries to resell the same cars after picking them up from people. Cars seem perfect on lot soon as you pull off you’ll have a ton of problems.

We made a reservation and were told they did not open until 12. We showed up at 12 and waited until some random guy showed up in a truck and had the owner on speaker phone and told me I had to make a reservation. I explained to him that I did. He said he wouldn't be back until 2-3 that day. They stay closed unless you make a reservation and even then they obviously can't come to their business to do their Job. Owner was rude and no help. Do not rent from here. Save your time and money.

2ÑD MONTH RADIATOR BUSTED TEXTED THEM AND TOLD THEM
3RD MONTH - I LET THEM KNOW I DIDNT WANNA MAKE THE PAYMENT IF CAR WAS GONNA SIT HERE ANOTHER MONTH WITHOUT ME BEING ABLE TO DRIVE IT. THEY ASSURED ME THEY WUD FIX THAT SUN I WORKED A DOUBLE THAT NIGHT SAT GOT OFF SUN AT 7:30 AM , STAYED UP AND WAITED FOR THEM TO OPEN AND CALL ME FELL ASLEEP.AT 3 PM I WOKE UP STILL IN WK CLOTHES, CHECKED PHONE TO NOTICED THEY HADN'T CALLED OR TEXTED SO I SENT MSG ASKING WAS THEY STILL DOIN MY CAR TODAY SINCE I HAD TAKEN IT OFF. THEN MR JOHNSON INFORMED ME THEY TEXTED AND CALLED AT 1PM I NEVER GOT MSG. SO I WAS INSTANTLY UPSET! SO I CALLED AND HE ARGUED THEY CALLED ME ,I ARGUED THAT THEY HADNT.I EVEN SENT MSG OF SCREENSHOT OF MY TEXT AND CALL LOG I HAD GOTTEN ( NOOO) MSG OR CALL FTOM THEM , HE SENT MSG EHERE THEY HAD CALLED AT OR AROUND 1, BUT WE HE OR MYSELF COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHO WAS AT FAULT. AT 5 :15 PM HIS MSGAND MECHANIC MSGS STARTED COMING IN SO I SENT IT BACK TO LET HIM KNOW I WAS JUST GETTING MSG BUT HE INFORMED ME IT WAS TOO LATE AND HE WAS ON VACATION AND HE WUD NOT BE RETURNING MY PHONE CALL. OF COURSE I WAS LIVID! I TEXTED BACK AND GOT ANSWERINF MACHINE,BUT TOLD HIM I WASNT HAPPY WITH THEY SERVICE THEY CUD COME GET CAR AND GIVE ME BACK.MY MONEY OR GET TJIS RESOLVED BY TOMORROW BUT NO REPLY I COME OUT TO GET IN CAR AFTER MAKING THE PAYMENT WENS TO DISCOVER THEY HAVE TURNED MY CAR OFF!.NOW LIKE IM NOT ALREADY FORKING MONEY OUT LEFT AND RIGHT TRYING TO GRT HOME OR GET CAR TOWED THEY CUTTING CARS OFF TOO!? HOW IS THIS LEGAL ? IF I MADE MY PAYMENT FOR MONTH HOW CAN THEY DO THIS!? PEOPLE NEVER GET A CAR FROM A PLACE THAT WONT OWN THEY WRONG DOING. THIS CAR RADIATOR WAS MESSED UP BEFORE I BOUGHT IT 1 MONTH ISNT LONG ENOUGH TO MESS UP A RADIATOR UNLESS IT WAS ALREADY BROKEN.. THEY KEEP TELLING ME ITS AS IS. BUT THERES GOT TO BE SOME LAW THAT SPEAKS IN THIS TYPE OF INJUSTICE. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. IF IM PAYING FOR A CAR I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT. WITHOUT IT OVERHEATING AND BEING MUCH....THEY WILL SELL U A CAR THAT LOOKS GOOD BIT NOT MUCH FOR DRIVING IT THEN THEY WILL THROW THEY HANDS UP AND SAY NOT THEY PROBLEM!
