Mad Dog's Creamery & Donuts

Mad Dog's helped us celebrate one year chemo free for our 8 year old! The donuts were delicious and they had some unique flavors that we tried such as banana pudding, pumpkin pie, and creamsicle! Everyone really enjoyed the flavor and quality of the donuts. The staff was very attentive and kind - even when it took us a bit to make our selection. Really great experience and definitely recommend trying a donut while you're in town!

We stopped for ice cream. We were served quickly and the servers were very friendly. Hubby had chocolate and I had black cherry. Both were delicious and the cone was fresh and tasty too! We loved sitting by the creek behind the building too.

Our favorite donut shop in Gatlinburg! It is always so close to wherever we are staying, and the donuts are just the best. My husband and his entire family love the banana pudding donut. I am partial to just a traditional glazed or a maple glazed donut. Get there early and you'll get warm donuts that are just to die for. They are pretty reasonably priced for a donut shop in a tourist town, we paid 12 dollars plus tax for a box of six donuts. The employees are always very nice and helpful as well. The building itself is small but I haven't seen it super busy. Parking is limited but there's always plenty of space for us.

Pleasantly surprised the shaved ice limit two flavor was nice ,the cinnamon roll and colossus apple fritter was delicious atmosphere was nice. Spacious indoor dining area as well as outside for your enjoyment The worker were excellent .

Stopped for ice cream & funnel cakes after a hike. Staff was very friendly and they had an assortment of baked goods. Apple fritter, dreamsicle and the blueberry lemon were delish. Milkshake was tasty too.

Great glazed donuts. Friendly service. You can eat inside or outside adjacent to the stream. My granddaughter ordered a cotton candy burrito. Never knew there was such a thing. She loved it.

What a great place!! Shaved ice, ice cream, donuts, and funnel cakes.

Ordered a dozen different donuts, all of which were great. Also got shaved ice for the kids and a banana pudding funnel cake. Everything had great flavor, good portions, and all for a fair price.

The staff here was great too. I felt bad taking away one of the employees during a rush when he had to go make my funnel cake. The other two employees managed to work through the line quickly without a sweat. Rare to see hard working people anymore. Props to them 👍🏼

Very clean establishment and run very well. I'd recommend this place for sure.

I had an ice cream/donut sandwich. I was told smokey mountain fudge ice cream I'd a favorite, so I went with that stuffed in a peanut butter devils food donut. Both were delicious!

My wife had a scoop of the strawberry cheesecake. Very good as well!!

A great and sweet experience

Super tasty donuts and the best mint chocolate ice cream I've had in a while. (The chocolate was thin shaved and perfect) reasonable prices and the staff were super friendly. Clean indoor seating.

Great ice cream and donut shop outside the hustle and bustle of the downtown Gatlinburg crowds. Plenty of outdoor seating by the little creek that runs behind the business. Good ice cream flavors and yummy donuts. Friendly staff. 10/10 would recommend a stop here.

Excellent place to stop by and grab a treat or a donut! The donuts and ice cream were delicious. The staff was nice and friendly. Also, very patient with those who have a hard time deciding on what to get. Their prices were also reasonable. The only problem we came across was that people eating at the steakhouse next door took up most of the parking spaces.

Super fast service. Great with samples. Not a fan of the blackberry but the chocolate was amazing. Doughnuts were great. Kids couldn’t get enough of them. Had to take them on a 6mi hike to burn off the energy 😬

Loved this cute little place! We were craving ice cream for dinner and we're not disappointed! I got the big dog funnel cake with strawberries and scoop of blueberry cobbler ice cream, my mom got a waffle cone with 3 scoops. They also have a display case with some yummy looking donuts and fritters. Didn't get off cheap but it was well worth it, so yummy and they fry up your funnel cake right when you order it. The strawberries were yummy and sweet and a generous scoop of ice cream on top! There's an attachment dining room and outdoor seating on those warmer days. Way better than Baskin Robbins or Marble slab!

Great little donut and ice cream shop. Several unique donuts to choose from, and I love the extra large apple fritters. They have some really interesting dessert treats, like ice cream wrapped in cotton candy, funnel cakes, and even deep fried Twinkies (come on, you know you just have to have one of those!). Prices are decent, the facility seems very clean, and the staff during our visit were very friendly. We bought way too much, because we wanted to try so many things, so we had plenty to last us well into the next day. Donuts were still very good even after sitting in the box overnight. Mad Dog's is a great place to stop and satisfy your sweet tooth, and if you have kids they will love it!

Happened upon this donut and ice cream shop as we were walking to town. I'm SOOOO glad we stopped!! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the donuts are terrific. I'm not exaggerating when I say their maple bacon donuts are THE best donuts I've ever eaten (and it's a high bar!!)! I made several stops here during our week in Gatlinburg, and I wasn't disappointed!

The two guys who were working the night we visited were so fun and friendly. Stopped after dinner at the Alamo. They had a great variety of fun donuts. My favorites were the bourbon bacon & boston cream!

Delicious ice cream! This shop is located about a mile outside of downtown so it’s a great place to get away from the crowds. There are several benches outside with umbrellas so once you get your dessert you can sit and eat.

Excellent service and it was delicious! Very friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Ended up going twice that week! The funnel cake with strawberries and ice cream was amazing!
