Great service and fantastic food. Loads of seating inside and out, with a stage for live performances outside.

We got a total of 5 different tacos…each and everyone was delicious! No jokes. Two different beef, 2 chicken and the Hippie (veggie/bean) tacos. Tried both the corn and flour tortillas, again, both yummy, but those corn tortillas were probably the best we ever had. Oh, and they were stuffed! So much meat we should have ordered some chips to help eat all the droppings.

So yeah, we will be back!

Ate lunch there yesterday (3/6/24) with my coworker and both of us really were impressed with the tacos. I had one fajitas taco and one brisket taco and both of them were excellent. Also their chips and salsa are excellent. Nice place, great food, nice atmosphere, and great service.

Delicious tacos! We tried the beef fajita and the smoked sweet potato. Both were really tasty. The green sauce is spicy and flavorful. Would recommend.

What a fantastic find! The restaurant was everything we hoped for and more. The meat was smoked to perfection and tender. The chips and queso was amazing so was the guacamole. Service was great too. Highly recommend this jewel of a place.

The server was friendly and food was great! My friend ordered food from one side and was able to bring it over to the bar area. Nachos were huge and definitely an easy sharable.

My husband and I were SO excited to try this place! We had been to Smithville several times while planning our wedding there, but usually on a Tuesday when this place is closed. The day after our wedding we finally made it here, and I'm so glad we did!

First of all, the DRINKS. I had a Bloody Maria (tequila instead of vodka, didn't even know that was a thing) and it was AMAZING. My husband had the Palomita, which was also great. The chips are homemade and really unique. We ordered a handful of tacos- chicken mole, birria, carnitas, and they were all some of the best tacos I've ever had. We only had one that was decent, but not out of this world (the sweet potato taco- def valuable as a veggie option but not going to knock your socks off). I tried some of my nephew's quesadilla and that was tasty too. The salsa was so good I took some to go and put it in a cooler all the way back home to Dallas. Since moving to Texas ten years ago, I've been to plenty of taco joints but this one is definitely going in the hall of fame.

Was in the area for a trail race and stopped here afterwards. Turned out to be delicious food. Had the picadillo nachos (cousin shared with me) and the carnitas taco on a corn tortilla. Don't miss it if you're ever in Smithville.

Hands down some of the best tacos I've ever had. The homemade chips are spiced perfectly and went great with the queso and salsa. The service was friendly and fast, and a great place to visit after riding the trails!

Staff super friendly. Shrimp taco was awesome, juicy, fresh and salsa was homemade and spicy. House margarita was ummmm gguuaaauuuu. Trying out barbacoa next.

Exceptional tacos! Did a taco road trip from Austin to try these and they were beyond expectation. They care in preparation and quality of ingredients lent to tacos Austin should be jealous of. Also, the salsas are 🔥🔥🔥

Super cool spot. Food was very tasty and fresh. The chips on the messy nachos were my favorite. I needed a bag of them to go! Bonus bar next door with the craft cocktails.

Awesome! This place is a gem, wish it was in my hometown (Salado) as it would do amazing! Great setup with a restaurant/bar split (both kid friendly) and a patio that links them together. Great margaritas (loved the frozen spicy) at a reasonable price. Chips are made in house and are very very good. I came back the next day and had breakfast tacos and they were great! Easily the best restaurant in Smithville. I know the group who started it has a few successful restaurants in Austin and it shows they didn't cut corners here. Give this place a try, it won't disappoint.

One idea for an improvement would be to improve the signage on the side of the building that faces the street. It is hard to know that just around the corner is a restaurant.

Been here a couple of times with friends and the food and atmosphere is great. The Quesadillas are very good. They fry cheese around the border and it just adds to the wow factor. They have some really good vegatarian nachos as well. I'm not a vegetarian but tried them with a friend who is and I was quite surprised at how yummy they would be. Shout out to Ginger there, she is awesome and makes sure we have a great time. She makes delicious drinks and has a fun personality. A little pricey, but worth the occasional splurge in my opinion. I do recommend this place, also recommend coming towards the sunset when it's a bit cooler outside. Indoor and outside seating is decent.

I absolutely love the smoked sweet potato taco! The honey and pumpkin seeds are a perfect topping. I prefer it without the cheese. Their chips and salsa are very good as well.

Love this place. The smoked meats are top quality. Put that in a taco, and its heaven. The Brisket taco was packed full of meat and burnt ends. Good drinks at the bar, and the salsa verde is something special. Be careful, it's hot.

Another great reason to make a lunch stop in Smithville if you’re traveling between Austin and Houston. Carne Lenta has a great space with a cafe setting and a separate sports bar type area in the back, plus patio area. It already smells great as you walk to the door. Their chips are homemade, thick, and dusted with spice - so good. We enjoyed the pick three dip plate as an appetizer. The tacos are wonderful - we tried the carnitas, birria, and suadero. The homemade corn and flour tortillas were stellar, as were all the meats. The tacos are a good size. They have a decent bar menu. All the servers, staff, and bartender were super friendly and helpful. We’ll be back.
