Whispering Winds on the River

Great home away from home. Great for large groups and perfect for spending time with the family. This is awesome if you have kids as well. There's access to the river if you want to hang out there and do a little rock skipping. 😊

10 out 10 recommand! My family and I really enjoyed everything Whispering Winds has to offer. Very clean and comfortable beds. The kiddos (and the adults) had a blast rolling down the hill and getting to swim at the edge of the river, collecting rocks and getting to paint them. It is the perfect place to escape the city!

Whispering Winds is a great place to bring your family and friends for any get together you may have! The views were incredible and the house is even more stunning. I will definitely be back!!

This place is awesome! If you want a place to relax and watch beautiful sunsets or kayak down the river this is the place for you. Plenty of restaurants in Smithville, Rocky Hill Ranch is 10 minutes away if mountain biking is your thing this place is for you. Book today you won't regret it.

Fun and Relaxing! I LOVE kayaking on the river!! It is so peaceful and pretty, plus so many rest stops along the way to play in the water and search for cool rocks. The small town has a lot to offer as well. We dropped by the local distillery and had a fabulous dinner at The Wine Bar. At night we watched lighting bugs and star gazed on a blanket in the open field, while listing to the wind blow through the trees and the water stream by. A wonderful evening! Oh and the house is clean and comfortable! An awesome getaway!

This house was amazing for family Thanksgiving gathering! Plenty of room, great views, and wonderfully stocked kitchen. Will definently look at coming back for another relaxing visit.

Whispering Winds was excellent! The house is very nice - clean and spacious. You can watch movies on the big screen TV or forget the technology and read a good book or play board games with the family. The yard is huge and goes down to the river. Neighbors are hundreds of yards away. It is an extremely quiet and tranquil setting. For our stay it was sunny during the day with a good breeze - perfect. Down by the river the only sound was the running water and the breeze rustling the leaves of the giant trees - a fantastic spot to read a book or take a nap if you are not kayaking, fishing or swimming. We ate in town at Pockets Grill and really enjoyed it! We ran out to West Morpha Antiques in Paige, TX and had a great time. There are so many places to see in the area. Carla was a real professional and great to deal with. We highly recommend Whispering Winds and definitely plan to go back!

Whispering Winds was so much fun. The house is roomy, and close to downtown Smithville, which has lots of things to. Fishing was great, and we had a blast there. Keep your eyes open for many animal visitors that are there( raccoons, deer, and birds).

This is the river place to stay. Great location for the float and more. Easy in and out of the river and getting in to town for some great food and drinks. Plenty of room for friends and family without the hassle of the crowds.

Peaceful, country property with all the comforts of home... good for the soul! Our team met there for our semi-annual meeting, and it was the perfect venue! Highly recommend!

This place is a great place to be. I've been here several times now and have great memories of family and friends. I'm looking forward to making many more wonderful moments.
