Riverside Veterinary Hospital

The Vets and staff at Riverside are great they have been upfront and honest and considerate of your feelings when things go wrong. They have taken care of my two dogs Dude & Funny Face they were always eager to go inside and see every one each time they went. Dude was facing a downhill battle with cancer that started about 10 months ago. The Vet did not waste valuable time or money running test because he knew exactly what we were dealing with and how much I loved My Dog! He didn't hesitate to send me to a specialist in Austin for surgery I knew it was temporary but I got to have several precious months with him. Sad to say Last week I knew the time had come to put him to sleep. They were very considerate of my feelings and comforting reassuring me this was the right thing to do this helped because no matter what you will start to second guess your actions when it comes to something you love.

If you are thinking about what vet to go to, go here. The staff is friendly, trustworthy, and great with your pets. In fact my dog loves the staff and likes coming to visit them. They gave my dogs life a second chance and I couldn't thank them enough. Thank you guys!!!

Thank you Dr. Helen for taking such a great Care and interest in our dog Bo. And mostly for not fussing at us for the condition of his teeth.!! We just love this little guy so much and I feel badly enough that we could have been causing him pain. It’s worth every trip from Austin to meet your wonderful and caring Techs (behind masks). Always kind and considerate. We’ll see you again in 3 months. Please stay safe and healthy.

Love this place! They're so polite and take wonderful care of all 3 of our dogs. We've been going to this place for about 3 or 4 years now and they're ALWAYS courteous and straightforward from the care they provide to their fair billing for treatment and meds. And they're always willing to help, even over the phone.

And bc of Covid, they have a sign out front with their phone number, so you don't have to leave your car; they'll come out to you. They definitely work hard for their money, and i hope they know how much we appreciate their team.

We have been going to them for at least 17-18 years!! They are absolutely amazing!!! They have always been right on on all of their diagnoses. When we lost our bulldog to cancer they were so kind and thoughtful and sent us flowers for our loss. The staff there is top notch. We absolutely LOVE Dr. Helen (owner) but the other vets there are also great. We have NEVER experienced any kind of bad service. I highly recommend them and we would never go anywhere else.

Dr. Helen was very thorough and patient with our senior dog and explained everything in laymen terms.
Being new in town, we had no idea where to go. We were fortunate to find a great clinic on the first try.

Can't say enough about this place, I all but call them family. Have been there for us during sad pet times with caring hearts and good pet times with open smiles. I just finished a doggy checkup and am loving the new report cards system. Gives me something to read and then fully understand. Plus post on the fridge to remember. Thanks Y'all!

Very courteous, caring and thoughtful. I went in for my dogs appointment and became ill. They not only took care of my puppy but they took care of me also.took me home and made sure I got to the emergency room. I want to thank them very much.

We have been looking for a good vet since we moved to Texas, and we finally found one that staff at Riverside is amazing!! And DR. Weishuhn is also amazing!! If you need a vet and live near Smithville tx. This is the place you need to go.

They have helped us so much. Very friendly staff and great with your animals. My dog loves going to the vet to see everybody there.

My 12 pit bull had a very nasty infection/lump in her mouth and it was bleeding. My family and I was scared that it was serious and we might have to put her down. We called and explained the situation and are fears but they managed to get us in even though they were booked. After some exams, xrays and tests I was sat down and show exactly what was going on inside and out regarding our dog on xrays and blood tests. At the moment my girl Shane is good and the peace of mind that I have after going to riverside is priceless.

The doctors actually care. They take the time to explain your pets issues and give all the options. I live off of 95 and will never take an animal to the clinic less them a mile from me. Riverside has my business.

I got in and out with no problems. I was even able to get her an exam at the last minute. Now I can take her home.
