Popped in for supplies after a bicycle race. Had all the necessary goodies and then some. Even had old school ATM.

I moved to Smithville 9 years ago in preparation for retirement & to get out of the fast lane. Brookshire Bros has improved 100% in that time frame. They've had a Remodel & its awesome.
The New Store Director, together with the "Team" he's assembled, has turned this store into a diamond. They may be a little higher on some items, but they also have items no other stores in our immediate area carries, have Awesome sales & a Members Only Club that's Free & gets you some really good deals. And, the Pharmacy Customer Service cannot be surpassed!! Try them out for your prescriptions!
For the last 3 years, I rarely go to Bastrop for groceries anymore. I'm only 67, so am still able to drive just fine.
When I read some of these reviews & think most people don't realize that Brookshire's is really great about hiring our high-school kids, hence the employee "turnovers". That's what businesses in Small Towns do & have done ever since I can remember - it's good policy to do so. Even 9 years ago the Employees have always been friendly & helpful.

Loved that they were playing Pearl Jam! Girl checker and guy bagger were so nice, helpful, and talkative to me. Cool clearance section.

Love this store, great produce selection. For a small store they have a good selection. Always good selection in the meat section. Friendly helpful staff.

I enjoy shopping here it beats fighting the crowds in Bastrop at the HEB and Walmart. Brookshire Brothers has everything you need without having to go too far from home, f you live locally. All the workers are friendly. Produce is always good. They have a nice deli with hot food too, if you're not up for cooking.They even have a nice little houseplant section and a pharmacy.

This store is not in the town where I reside. However, the management/employees are outstanding! Especially Michelle!
This store is exceptionally clean and well organized!

I got more help and assistance here in one visit than I've gotten from years visiting walgreens.

I recommend this place to buy meat here there are many specials in meat and chicken and they have good quality products. In addition, their vegetables are very fresh

Oh my goodness what a difference! My husband and I live in town, we primarily went to Bastrop for groceries . Not anymore. Imagine our surprise to go into our local Brookshire Brothers Grocery Store, freshly remodeled. Thank you for bringing this store into the 21st century! It is modern, bright spacious. If you haven't already checked the " new" grocery store out, one visit will make trips to HEB fewer.

We love this place coming from Austin. The people at the deli counter were not too friendly but they did a good job with our orders. They weren't rude though. When we go to small-town places, we always feel like everybody can tell that we're city slickers. But we grew up in a small town and we loved it there!

My mom passed and I needed boxes to back her belongings and they were a big help thanks guys

Great little grocery store. Staff is polite and friendly. Prices are pretty good generally, but sale prices are especially good. I enjoy the meat selection and fresh produce is just what I like and appreciate. Bakery has goodies that are a treat when I don't feel like cooking. Lots of inventory for a relatively small space, but plenty of room to move around and get what you need.

I was recently in the Brookshire Brothers store at 501 Northwest Loop 230 in Smithville On July 9 and I was so impressed to see that the store looks recently remodeled and so new and fresh! I was looking for some items for a picnic and I was especially impressed with the fresh meat and produce selection. A wonderful employee in Produce named William was especially helpful and knowledgable about the fruits. He helped me find the dragon fruit which I was looking for for a recipe. I was so excited that this little store had such an array of fresh exotic fruits. I was impressed by the selection of produce, the employees knowledge of the fruits and vege and the overall look and feel of the store. It had a farmers market feel that made it comfortable to shop there and the cashiers were friendly also. Thanks again to William who really stood out as fruit expert!

Unfortunately their fresh fruit has been not edible every time I have got some. Especially grapes and cherries

Wow! I love the new look and feel of BBros. It's been a long time coming. I cannot wait for online ordering, my preferred shopping method.
The new and improved layout is intuitive and well stocked with common sense separation of goods. I'm actually enjoying the shopping experience!

This was our first visit to this Brookshire Brothers in Smithville. We were heading to our Granddaughter's Birthday Party and need to fill some helium balloons. If went inside and spoke with the manager to see if they could fill some helium balloons. Our Granddaughter wanted a Nightmare before Christmas themed Party. Our daughter had gotten a Jack balloon and another package of balloons from the movie. A little while later the manager came out with a Jack balloon that was almost 6' tall! We had No Idea! She'd also filled another 7-8 balloons in total! She was amazing! And the cost was to fill these was Great!!! The Staff was Friendly and Helpful!!! We look forward to come back here!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Brookshire Brothers!!!

I have a large family and go there almost daily. They are friendly and. Helpful. Prices are high but it's convenient to go there. The only other store is 23 miles away

Brookshire Brothers has the best meat. Top quality. Add to that their weekly sale prices and you have some real quality groceries. Plus the employees are the best friendly wise! Love shopping at Brookshire Brothers!

Always been my favorite little grocery store to shop at. I still get disappointed here and there but they don't have certain things but then just around the corner or something better than that thing I was looking for.
