Pocket's Grille

pocket’s grille is the perfect family establishment that covers all the bases! it’s got lots of seating inside and out, along with a play area for the kiddos. the menu is extensive, and everything we tried was hot, tasty, and generously portioned. i would be surprised if you couldn’t find something you liked! it’s counter service but everyone we talked to was friendly. definitely will be back to try some of the other menu offerings!

Great food, great place. I had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich and my wife had a Rubin sandwich. Both were Very good! The fries were great! The food was ready pretty quick. We have only been once but will be back many times for sure. I recommend this dinner.

The food is ALWAYS good and I love having a place to take my kids to eat that has a playscape. Reminds me of McDonald's back in the day, but the food is a million times better. Thanks to Kyriah for making even just picking up food today a pleasant experience. Kudos to the chefs as well.

Never judge a book by its cover, this place has the most amazing food!!! I had the Rueben and I was super amazed. They all day special are a good deal. We had the fried jalapeños and fried pickles, Buffalo wings, and pizza. Also, they have WD-40 served ice cold!!! Sometimes they close a little early.

Ive been to Pockets twice since i moved to Smithville in late September, 2023.
They have memorabilia from some of the movies that were made here. Tee shirts signed by crews of movies. The food was very good both times. 1st time a very green salad, w grilled chicken. Last night i had hickory burger. A lil messy, but delicious and quite filling. The fries were perfect, quite hot when bright to our table. And crunchy outsude tender inside.
The menu is large and the staff are very kind, caring and fun to talk to. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the memorabilia, so it was fun learning about that. The wait staff was good at their job, but still made time to chat w us.
We got there a lil late, but I'll indefinitely return when i can.

Excellent food! We especially enjoyed the fish tacos. I love the movie memorabilia, especially the Tree of Life sign which is why we came to visit Smithville in the first place. service was quite slow, but they only had one cook at the time. We certainly enjoyed the playground for our children.

The best burgers, sandwiches, pizza and basically everything else! Cool atmosphere! Great service! It's my go to place to eat when I'm in town. Family fave! And you have got to check it out over the Christmas holidays...love their Christmas decor!♡

Thus place has been around forever. There's only a handful of eateries in Smithville. All of them are smaller, located in historic buildings and such. This place on the corner had the aesthetics of a big chain restaurant. The menu is absolutely giant. Too big if you ask me. Every time I've been though, the food is super fresh, tasty and gets to you fast. Even when the place was absolutely packed on Saturday afternoon. I'm glad there's a place with a fairly neutral menu that serves literally something for everyone. ( vegans included)

My family came in to town to check out the Smithville Airport Fly In. I wanted to take them out to lunch somewhere that I knew we could get great food and service. My usual spot was closed so we went to Pockets. It was perfect. They were absolutely slammed with the special event going on that day. There was hardly a place to sit, but somehow magically we got our food quickly. It was hot, fresh, and very good.

My SO had decided to start refinishing antique furniture and we have been driving to a few small towns these last few weeks. Came into Smithville to pick up a table and the nice lady who sold it to us recommended we try this place. And I'm sooooooooooooooo glad we did. We were both hungry and thirsty and Pockets really hit the spot (they got beer!!). SO had the Alpine and I had the Texas Jack. Both were scrumptious. Meat was perfectly cooked and the fact that we get to dress it ourselves from three toppings bar made it just right. Will definitely recommend and will be back for seconds.
