Second year in a row we have used them for deer. Last year we brought one just to try it out. This year we took them all three. The sausage is as good as I have had and the bacon cheese burgers are just ridiculous. Really tasty stuff. I highly recommend.

These folks are the genuine article. We had our cow dropped off in April. It was ready the next week. As a school teacher, I got busy and forgot they called and said it was ready. They called first week of June and said they would waive the storage fee if I came got it right away.

When I got there, their card machine was not working. I went to the local bank and could not get the total amount. That led me to thr belief I had just made a 200 mile round trip venture for nothing. Smithville Food Lockers graciously accepted what I had as total payment for butchering.

As I said: Smithville Food Lockers is the genuine article. All meat came packaged perfectly and ready to go as soon as we returned with the cash for butchering.

By far they are the best at what they do, hands down! We have been bringing our cattle here for the past 7 years and they are the only ones I trust to process them right. The hang time is always just right, the cuts are spot on and tender. Everything is individual vacuum sealed and labeled. Their service is excellent and priced fair. They do get busy, so be patient, that’s just proves that they are known for their quality.

My son and I stopped to grab bone in ribeyes on our way back to south Louisiana from a Doss Texas hunting trip. This was a top notch place with 100 plus sides of the most beautiful beef. They fresh cut six bone in ribeyes 1 1/2” thick. Can’t wait to try them out. Very professional, and organized.

Always had pleasure having my game processed here, place has always been busy but I have always been treated great. highly recommend it. Deer summer sausage has always had great taste. (every single family or friend that has tasted it agrees).

I’ve been taking deer and hogs here since 2012. I took my first deer here and they were very patient and helpful. Always great results. I’m picky about packaging and portioning and this is the only place that satisfies me and I’ve been to the big boys in Austin. Great variety of processing options. Quick turn around. Ethical. I freaking love this place! Not only do they process animals for customers..but they sell the best steaks and sausage to the general public. And well of coarse I work here! But all of my coworkers are awesome! And super hard workers. Management stays on top of everything! You can go there and buy a whole steer and have it processed...never have to raise it yourself and get 100% of what u order. Extremely humane as well!

I have used these guys for years to process our cattle. Never had a single problem, and the meat is well packaged, a fair price and I always get the amount of meet that I expect. I have had no problems with these guys at all. I recommend them....

We have been going to Smithville Locker for the last eight years. They have always treated us right and understood when our children brought in their show animals for processing, and how they have been our pets for six months. They allowed us to bring them back and were very gentle with the animals. They are prompt and all their vacuum sealed bags have lasted well over a year for us. We hope to continue to use them through our years of processing needs.

A little more expensive than I expected but their work was excellent. What is more is they were really helpful and kind as I was butchering for the first time. Definitely will go there again AND suggest that others do too.

I am a pig farmer and have used EVERY inspected facility within 150 miles of Cedar Creek. Smithville Food Lockers is by far the cleanest carcass I have seen. They are very careful with the skinning and do not loose any fat. I had a slight problem with blood clotting once and they immediately corrected the issue. They also show keen awareness of the necessity to kill quickly and only when the animal is calm, then to bleed out quickly. ~ Eden's Cove Farm

In response to Steve Boyd: If your "friend" is a hog farmer in central Texas then he would know that there is only one inspected facility with scald and scrap ability. It is common knowledge. If, by the slim chance, he did not know where to take his hog, then Smithville Food Lockers would have told him that they cannot do skin on hogs.

This is a great place to have animals processed.
The service is great and the staff is courteous and friendly.
Make sure you check out there cured slab bacon, if it's truly wonderful!
