A&W Restaurant

I came in out of curiosity more than anything. I’ve never been inside of a A&W. I saw everyone drinking root beer out of ice cold mugs and had to have one of my own… you do get refills but I didn’t need one. They make a big deal out of the soda being, “Made Fresh Daily!” and it being made from “Pure Cane Sugar”. But it comes out of the same dispenser as every other soda they sell. They have large containers in the front on the counters where I believe they keep the syrup I guess they mix by hand which is the claim made on the A&W website.

However the drink was crisp, cold, and refreshing. It was a little over a couple bucks and a unique experience in that frosted mug. It was so cold that ice crystals formed at the top. The root beer was smooth and you could tell it was pure cane sugar as it doesn’t have the hfcs after taste of most products. It’s worth trying out. They also sell root beer floats and some kind of frozen cream root beer. I may go back for another mug before I leave town.

I did notice the menu prices seemed very reasonable for the area. I’m not sure why A&W didn’t take off in the states. They seem to have a good product… a little fine tuning and I could see this place doing even better.

Went to get my birthday float, had much and was glad they still used the frosted glass mugs!!

I happened to notice the A&W while driving and had the strongest impulsive urge to grab an A&W Draft Root Beer Float in a glass mug. It's hard to find an A&W restaurant so I didn't want to let this opportunity slip by.

My review is probably biased bcos of the fond memories I have of A&W and can't tell the difference between nostalgia vs this specific dining experience. Either way I had a great time.

They serve A&W Root beer in frosty glasses and no ice with free refills. I drank 3 glasses. Food was good too

I come for the root beer. Nothing beats an in store draught A&W root beer. I don't know how it's so much better than a grocery store bottle, but it's basically not even the same product. The food on the other hand is great! Burgers and cheese curds are fantastic and beat out alot of other fast food chains. A&W please never change!

I was pretty impressed with this place until we got our food. It was hardly warm, the burgers were so dry you had to take a drink after ever bite. Staff was amazing and the place was clean. Food was terrible.

Food was good got a root beer float,some corn dog bites and loaded fries even bought a mug to take home. Prices were great compared to over restaurants in the area I recommend

I hadn't seen an A&W since I was a kid, so when we happened by this place while on vacation I made it a point to bring the kids back later that day. Nice, clean place with super friendly staff. The food was just as good as I remembered it being and the kids really enjoyed it. Glad I spotted this place.

Haven't eaten at an A&W since I was a kid and man, did this hit the spot!

Stopped by just to see the menu because I haven't been to one in years. Ordered a cheeseburger and some cheese curds. Both delicious! Fast and efficient service.

We went here last night for floats after dinner. Super yummy! The guy behind the counter was hilarious and engaging! He talked to all our kids and by the end, we bought 5 mugs to take home! They are still laughing because we came on vacation and bought souvenirs at the restaurant. 😂 Keep up the good work!

While visiting Knoxville, I had a craving for A&W and wanted my kids to experience it. They did not disappoint. Awesome root beer in cold mugs, good food and just the nicest people. It was a 40 minute drive and so worth it. My kids couldn’t stop raving about it.

The food was amazing and the drinks were great too, that Double Spicy Papa Burger is definitely worth its price, can't wait to go again!

Food was fresh and hot, service was great and the resturant was very clean. You can even buy the A&W Mugs

Really enjoyed our dining experience this evening. I was too hungry to take time to take pictures lol. I had the bbq sandwich which was delish and the cheese curds never disappoint. Hubby enjoyed the corndog nuggets and the fries were hot and crisp. The young man that waited on us was very pleasant and kept his cool when his credit card machine went down. Kudos to him! Good job sir!

Some of the best fries I've ever had, along with the absolute best root beer you will ever find. You have to go here, and you have to get a root beer float.

I had a pretty bad review here from an experience from about 8 months ago, however I decided to not let one bad experience prevent from giving them another chance. And since then I have gone here at least three more times, and I have not had a negative experience since then, in fact everyone has been very helpful and extremely nice.
I'm glad I didn't let one bad trip ruin what has turned out to be a pretty good option with fast food.
Thank you for striving to do your best, whether because of a few bad complaints or just because you are working hard to improve on your own.

The food was amazing and fresh. Everything was made to perfection. Friendly staff and super fast we didn't wait long at all. Very family friendly. Also the owner is absolutely the best!!

Loved trying the Papa Burger with Fries & Diet A&W Root Beer & Strawberry Sundae for my taste of my experience & it was all good & the others tried their meals & it was all good & first time to dine in Sevierville, TN location.

Anytime my family is in this area we make an effort to eat here. Always great food and fantastic service. The root beer is the best I have ever had. The baby corn dogs and cheese curds are my favorite! LOVE it here.
