Grist Mill & Cinnamon Bread

Be prepared to share - as a trio, we were barely able to finish our loaf of cinnamon bread (and then I definitely needed a nap!).

From my understanding and I could be completely wrong but the cinnamon bread originates here. You can get the cinnamon bread in the spotlight bakery but I think they make it here and then bring unbaked loaves down to spotlight.
The line is always very long here so fair warning. Its most definitely worth the wait though. You can see them working as you wait. You should also expect to send one or two people in and the rest of your party can go sit in the rockers not too far up from the mill.
The bread itself is served piping hot dripping cinnamon filling and comes with a frosting and and or apple butter our family loved them both. And asked for both often.
It's usually about 10 or 11 per loaf passholders can usually get it for 9. You can also find at the resorts.
Also a hint if you are not at the park you could get it at the donut friar from what I've been told but have not yet checked that out

A must do. The cinnamon bread is to die for. The service is great but must wait in a long line for the HOT bread.

Easily the best sweet treat you will eat in probably all of Tennessee. The cinnamon bread here is no joke and worth all the hype you've heard.

That fresh cinnamon bread is worth the hype. And you likely WILL eat the pan before leaving the park. But if you don't think you will, ask for a bag (with handles) so you can carry it around the park.

Skip the icing. Unless you like gingerbread house icing, then go wild.

Our Morning and first visit to Dollywood started by visiting the Grist Mill. It turned out to be a cinnamon lover's dream come true, thanks to their mouthwatering Cinnamon Bread. As early birds, we eagerly arrived before the doors opened, thrilled to be the first ones in line and get our hands on the very first batch fresh out of the oven. What awaited us was a warm, aromatic treat that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped inside, the inviting aroma of cinnamon gently through the air, instantly igniting our taste buds. The rustic charm of the mill's interior added to the overall ambiance, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for indulging in this delectable delight. The Cinnamon Bread itself was a marvel to behold. With its golden-brown crust and a generous dusting of cinnamon-sugar on top, it was a visual feast. When you come to Dollywood you need to stop for the cinnamon bread! Delicious bread best served fresh! We had a wait, but very much worth it! The mill itself is very pretty to look at, especially with the holiday lights!

My husband and I polished this off In about 5 minutes. Was worth the wait in line.

This cinnamon bread reminds me of my grandma's. The grist mill brings back memories of where we used to go camping when I was a kid. The staff was patient and helpful. An all-around 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 experience and not to be missed when at Dollywood!

How good is it? Well...... I'm a roller coaster enthusiast and Dollywood has got some great coasters, but I will make the drive all the way from central Texas anyday to get THIS Cinnimon Bread. It's THAT delicious. You cannot walk out of the park without partaking of this sweet yummy treat, it's just criminal, and you don't want to be a criminal do you? Get in line and your welcome.

Waited for about 20 mins to get it but this cinnamon bread is absolutely fantastic. Perfect balance of dough, cinnamon and gooeyness! Best desert in Dollywood in my opinion and well worth even a 30 min wait. Good thing there are plenty of photo reviews on here already because it was devoured in minutes. I’d get one per two or three people, depending on how hungry you are.

It honestly is a must do for anyone visiting Dollywood. The bread is in no way healthy, but it is absolutely delicious!

This is the best cinnamon bread that I have ever eaten!!! My girlfriend and I ate the whole thing almost before we knew it!!! Awesome awesome awesome!!! Really no other words to say!!! There is a reason for the long lines and the completely tantalizing smell!!! It is really that good!!!

This is the entire reason I drove 10 hours to Dollywood. And yes, it was worth it!
