I took my semi tractor in last year to get a 3 axle alignment done.Jim told me that I needed tie Rod ends, draglink, shocks, torque arms, and bushings.he gave me an estimate on parts and labor.I thought parts were expensive,so I called Kenworth and was able to get OEM replacement parts a lot cheaper.all except the bushings.I saved about $400.00 on just parts.I replaced the torque arms and shocks myself.when I took truck back to get worked on,i told Jim that I had replaced shocks and torque arms.he went ahead and used my new parts and his bushings and did the alignment.I picked up my truck and noticed on Bill that be replaced my torque arms.I asked him why,and he told me that I hadn't told him not to replace them, which was not true.I went and picked up a load that same day.I was headed to Phoenix.I got to mile marker 64 on I-20 at about 1230am and felt something funny with my steering.my truck started veering to the right and I couldn't steer it back.I had lost my steering.so I went off into the ditch, then across the frontage road and finally got stopped.come to find out,the tech that worked on my truck had forgotten to install the cotter pin,so the nut for the draglink had vibrated off and the draglink fell off at the power steering unit.I had to wait till morning to get road service to bring a nut and cotter pin.I called Jim that morning and told him what happened.he told me to bring the truck back and he would replace the draglink and also replace the torque arms with mine and reimburse me for the torque arms and road call, which he did.he also told me to bring truck back at 15000 miles or as close to that as possible to retighten u bolts on the axles.around 6 weeks later,i was in Florida getting loaded with a load coming back home, and an air bag blew.ok,no problem.I call road side service and they brought out a bag and replaced it.almost $700.well,i take off and got down the road about 200 miles and I blew the same air bag again.I was able to limp to a Peterbilt dealership and get bag replaced.but when they replaced the bag, they noticed that my axle had shifted to the left about an inch and a half.that's why it was blowing that bag.they fixed everything at almost $1300.00.what it was is when tru trac replaced my torque arms, they didn't replace the spacers, and they didn't realign my rear axles.I called Jim and told him what had happened, and he told me to bring truck in and he would check it.when I took truck back,it at almost 17000 miles after repairs at tru trac.I was headed home from Florida because I was going on vacation the next week, and I had told Jim that I would bring truck back then, and he said ok.when I got truck back,Jim told me that it was my fault for not getting truck back before 15000 miles.so he blamed everything on me.even though he told me 15000 or close to it.and I had told him that I was going on vacation at that time, and I would come in then, but it would probably be a little after 15000 miles, and he said that would be fine.I wound up spending almost $2000.00 to fix the screw up tru trac did.i bought new steer tires after I got original alignment done.then I noticed about 8 months later, steer tires were still wearing uneven.there was no change.do not take your vehicle to tru trac in Alvarado,Tx.for repairs.these people are thieves and liars.
