Tara has been doing my taxes for well over a decade and I have NEVER had any issues with any part of the process. She is always courteous and professional and always makes time to answer my tax questions when I call her throughout the year. Also, her tax preparation rates are very competitive compared to other places. I have recommended her to many people and will continue to take my business to her for years to come.

I've used Money Works tax services for the last 10 years. Always had positive experiences and good refunds. But now they are closed for some reason.....

GREAT SERVICE

I found out today that money works has shut down. They were not answering there phone or calling back after leaving voice mails for two weeks. I drove there and there is a sign on the door that says they are no longer in business.
Hopefully someone will call me back soon.

If only I could give hundreds of negative stars!!! I used these people on a referral. I cannot express this enough...do not allow these people to complete your taxes. I took my information in to have them complete my taxes. They were late and had to file an extension BUT they continued to state it would be done on time and when it came down to the date they refused to answer my phone calls and emails for 11 days. They finally got around to send in my taxes a month later but they were rejected and they never called or told me this happened. Another month later, the IRS had stated they had not received. I called Money Works and they said "Oh yeah, we received the rejection notice about a month ago." They could not give me an answer of why no one had called. My taxes had to then be filed via mail and they stated they sent it. I was never given a confirmation number. I continued to check with the IRS and they continued to state that they had not received. Two months later, I finally had to take off work and go into their office to get all of my paperwork. She continued to say that she could not find my information and she would get it to me later. Our conversation was not good. I finally got my paperwork and had to file myself. 6 months total! Sorry for this to be so long but need to get the word out! So disappointed! This office not only does not complete the work but they lie and try to receive payment for work that has not been done.

I filed with Tara by first year (2018) filing taxes because I was unsure on how to properly file. This year I tried to file again for my 2019 taxes with Tara and I was given a number that was not accurate with other filing systems. In fact, it was off by $2,000 which is concerning due to the fact that Tara had no idea how she filed incorrectly. I have asked and called multiple times about this problem and get no response. When she does finally answer the phone she gives me the same answers "its out of my hands". Now I have to file a mended return in order to get the correct amount I should've been given the first time. When I check the IRS website it states the return will be mailed out to me, which is also not what Tara and I agreed on. I have her my account information and routing number and she still had it mailed out to me. This is concerning because she was off of my amount by $2,000 and it makes me wonder where the governments money is going and HOW MANY PEOPLE SHE IS DOING THIS TO. I urge every one to stay away from Moneyworks and do not file taxes with Tara Harrington.

I could not recommend this place any less. She put my tax return into someone else's bank account (a Wells Fargo account, I bank with a credit union). She dodged my calls for months about this. Mistakes happen, but she was so rude and demeaning through this entire process. I had to go through absolute hell to get my money back, spending hours/days on the phone with Wells Fargo and the IRS... and finally a lawyer. Do not use Money Works under any circumstances.

This is my second time going to Tara to have my taxes prepared. Well, I had mines prepared on February 19, 2019. Checking over the paperwork, I asked her make some corrections to the forms. She said she would. I checked my refund online and Nothing. So I called her and Gayle answered, telling me that she would call me back. Making a long story short, I've visited the office a total of 4 times and made numerous calls. I'm currently sitting in the IRS office because even the IRS want to see what she did and why I'm red flagged. This is ridiculous. I came to her by referral and I will never go back there again. Only thing that I've been getting is the dodge treatment. I DON'T REFER THEM AT ALL. She messed up my children's names even after showing social security cards and other paperwork. She couldn't call me back nor give me an answer about why my taxes. No one deserves this.

Tara is the absolute worst! Do yourself a favor and Do Not use Moneyworks! She made a mistake on my sons taxes and did not correct this until a lawyer got involved.
