Jessica was our waitress. She gave the best advice for food. The food was awesome! Seasoned and flavorful. Steak rolls, fried calamari sea bass it was so much food and the price was good

Excellent quality dining for a fairly reasonable price for this experience. If you enjoy seafood, check out their specials because you know they will be very fresh. Must try the starter of grilled artichoke; this set the expectations high as it was the best, fresh artichoke I have ever eaten. Not necessarily huge, just the novelty of the wood-grilled smoke flavor permeating the leaves and heart. The choke portion was pre-cleaned, so there was no picking at a mess. I would return just for that. Three of us got the seafood specials: Grilled cilantro shrimp, Grilled Sea-bass Branzino, and Swordfish with lemon butter sauce. ALL were unbelievable as we shared bites, which I encourage if you're comfortable with that. One person ordered the roasted pork chop with apricot glaze. It was juicy, beautiful, and Huge! No one was even slightly disappointed. Low carb substitution request didn't even bat an eye. No problem, I got my rice switched out for some grilled veggies that were just fabulous.
Drinks were excellent as well. Their martinis arrived at table 3/4 filled with a chilled, extra pour on the side. Cuts down on transfer spillage from glass and just a classy touch.
All in all, a 10 outta 10. Great place. Will go back.

I showed up late with my wife for dinner and we were able to order dinner before the cutoff at 9pm and had a great meal and service by Derry who gave us top notch, thoughtful and professional service. He came by and was attentive and provided great feedback on the amazing food. We will be back for more delicious food and desserts.

Thought another restaurant that used to be in the area was still open. A friend mentioned they had recently been here, so we decided to try it. WE shared grilled trout and the house salad. Generous portions and complimentary dessert. It was excellent. Loved the decor. Manament and staff were youthful and attentive. Next time, I'll try the steak!

Emily could teach a masterclass on being a server and in hospitality in general. She's the most amazing, absolutely top-notch server I've had in several years. You deserve a raise and all the praise! Thank you for being a lovely human.

We love this place! Definitely our preferred restaurant for special occasions. The prime rib, baby back ribs and crab cakes are excellent. Melissa provided great service even on a busy Friday night. A must try!

Chose this restaurant for my son's birthday and a party of 6, and man, have I been missing out on this place. Everything was out of this world, from the start til the end. Atmosphere, food, ambiance, top notch. Our server Vanja went above and beyond for us and made our son's birthday celebration so special. If I could, I would give 6 stars!!!

Has a pleasant time with family. Food was good however last time was better. Try the Steak Maui & carrot cake delicious!

What wonderful food!!! The menu selection is great and food tastes amazing. The prime rib with the pineapple glaze was extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Wonderful and attentive staff, and very quaint ambiance. We had an amazing dinner on our special occasion, thank you to the wonderful staff.

I am absolutely blown away by this place. Spicy Bloody Mary’s ✔. Service , ✔. Ambiance for date night, ✔. March Madness on all the tvs, ✔. Food, GAHMAZING! Will be back and recommending to eeeveryone I know! Gives you a more “exclusive” vibe then Maggiano’s, who just so happened to have an hour and half wait compared to J. Alexander’s 30-45 which wasn’t bad for no reservation. Parking is readily available AND ON A SATURDAY and right across from the mall. 100 out of 10 will be back. Gets even more charming by night!

The girl that looks like Wednesday Adams did such a great job as our waiter I will definitely be going back. Such a loving kind girl she did great! Keep up the amazing work

Pre-Covid My Family & I ate at J Alexander’s Oak Brook location at Least once a month. It was Nice to get out on a Date Night with My Wife. Service & Food as usual Outstanding!!! We missed seeing an Old Friend the Manager aka Lieutenant Dan. Glad to see he was Promoted we will have to check out his new location. #Ricks2Cents

It's hard to believe it but the CHEESEBURGER here is the absolute best! With so many wonderful choices on the menu it's hard to keep getting just the burger, but it's that good! The shoestring fries are yummy as well! And who doesn't love the piping hot carrot cake!😊😊😊

On my birthday my husband surprised me with reservations here. It was a great atmosphere. The food was awesome. Our server Chris was the BEST!!!. Chris catered to all our needs. He gave great suggestions. J Alexander wouldn't be J Alexander without him. When I return here. I'm definitely requesting to be in his area. Thanks Chris!!!!

What can I say. ...absolutely delicious! Nice classy clean restaurant, friendly staff. Management came around a few times to make sure everything was going well. Only issues we had was it took a little while to get our 2nd round a drinks, and our waitress dissapeared when we were trying to close out our bill but the manager was able to help us out. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back.

J. Alexander's is a favorite. We go here for all our family get togethers. The staff is always upbeat and the martini's are wondrous. I have yet to find something on the menu that I don't love. I highly recommend J. Alexander's Restaurant.

The cheeseburger was so delicious!! Very juicy, perfectly made just the right of everything! The chicken was fried in a light batter so it was very crispy simply delicious!

Came for dinner with friends. Had reservations so no problem being seated. I had pecan crusted trout which was excellent. Service, drinks, and atmosphere were awesome.
