Pepino's Taco Stand

Without a doubt the absolute place to be if you want some great food prepared and served by amazing people! I’ve been a few times now and even when they’re busy the wait for an order has never been long enough to cause an issue. An amazing atmosphere inside the restaurant and out on the patio, you can sit back, relax and sip on a margarita that is by far more superior to any other contender that I’ve come across. Do yourself a favor and stop in sometime. Enjoy some on the house tortilla chips with salsa while you sip that ever so amazing margarita and enjoy that entree that comes out fresh, hot and jam packed with more flavor than you could have ever expected! These guys have been doing such an amazing job! It has been an absolute pleasure to say the very least to not only give them my business but to share them with everyone I can that’s looking for another amazing place to spend some of that hard earned money of theirs! Can’t thank them enough for being who they are and doing what they do❤🧑🏿‍🍳🤌🏿💋

I always go back to Pepinos for the same thing. Chicken Fiesta salad with extra dressing and extra chicken. It really is a "party" in your mouth with the added bonus of the crunchy fried tortilla on the bottom. The first time I tried Pepinos was when my coworkers were ordering lunch one day in 2022, and we all ordered Chicken Fiesta Salads (at their recommendation). Since falling in love with it, I've eaten it many times but only via takeout. My aunt brought my boyfriend and I to the Bangor location for dinner this past summer, so I got to try their housemade salsa and chips. And they turned out to be some of the best I've ever had. Someday, maybe I'll try ordering other items on the menu but until then, I will continue to order the simple but simply delicious, Chicken Fiesta Salad.

Great place! My favorite place to stop for a quick bite. Originally from NM, so I take my tacos seriously and I love their style.

Food is awesome. It never disappoints. The staff is wonderful and always very pleasant. The only thing is I wish the inside was alittle bigger. Not much seating.

I grew up in Brewer Maine and started going here over 30 years ago! They were the first Mexican restaurant in Northern Maine!! All the food is made with the freshest ingredients even the tortilla chips are made hot & fresh! Their signature sauces are The Best and I live in Northern Virginia now & get them delivered to my house!! Love the nachos! The Bean Dip is Awesome! Their guacamole is delicious and so fresh! Tacos are great especially the fish tacos! Love the Burrito el grande! Chili is so thick and delicious! Save room for dessert at this Mexican restaurant because they have THE MARGARITA PIE THAT IS PHENOMENAL!! I dream about it!!

Whether you're on a date night or stopping in for a quick bite, this is the place. Great food, wonderful service.

Really delicious. Fresh ingredients, made to order, takeout, curbside pickup, or eat in. Jumbo margaritas to go! Super safety conscious about masks and social distancing. Friendly helpful staff.

Found this place while driving up to Baxter state park from nyc. This place is more texmex style food but i was pleasantly surprised with the taste and freshness of ingredients, especially for the lower price. They also had a red and green salsas to add.
I would recommend and come back again.

LOVE this place. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Great drinks and food. Enjoy sitting on the deck. The guacamole is the best anywhere. Highly recommend this place!

Wayyy good food, and drinks. Other places do not compare. We usually get chicken chimi and a couple beef round nachos can't have one without the other. Headed there in a bit. We live 35 miles away and can't wait.

100% gotta try the green sauce it's pretty tasty & they also sell it bottled to go. Never have I ever had a cheese burrito made w raisins onions and tomato but it totally works. Love this hole in the wall spot in Brewer.

By far the best Mexican food I've ever had let alone anywhere close to Bangor or Brewer! Not a bunch of fillers or junk like other wanna be chain Mexican restaurants. Both the taco stand and their other location in Bangor "Pepinos" are privately owned and use their own homemade ingredients and it shows. Not a bunch of slop and cover ups so you can't taster each and every ingredient like these other places. I recommend both places in Bangor and brewer to anyone and if you haven't tried them yet plz do cause you have no idea what your missing if you like Mexican food!!

Such a hidden gem. $10 for two LOADED tacos and they may be the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. Lots of corn tortilla options as well

The staff is cheerful and helpful. We both ordered the Chimmichangas. They were delicious. The guacamole was more flavorful than any I haven't made myself. The chili was great. You could actually taste individual items like tangy tomatoes, fresh, sweet onions and spicy? Just the right Mount of HOT. Best chili I've ever had in a restaurant. And the price was about average. The chimmis were just under $9, the chili just under $4. A great meal was had by all.
