The Barn Theatre School

I don't think Google maps existed the last time I visited for a show in 2002. So, glad this place is still around and still putting on amazing shows. Such a fun and enjoyable time, can't believe I've stayed away so long. My loss. The Sherlock Holmes show was a blast. About twenty different characters all played by 5 players. And even better than that, it was eighteen characters played by 3 players. The theater is fantastic with amazing air conditioning. A great venue for a fun show any time.

First live theater I've been to and it was absolutely wonderful. I'll remember 9to5 for many years to come and they have truly captured my heart with their performance. They have also made certain that I will be going to live shows for the foreseeable future. The property boast a outdoor concession booth, a bar, and an after performance cabaret of sorts for dinning and the actors to play around at. I didn't reserve a table early enough but next time for sure. The actors were exquisite, the scenes were well built and orchestrated, and the owner is top notch. It's a family owned production and has been the start of a few well known stars but I'm sure more to come.
One memorable moment was when I had an "Oh No" moment and they gave the audience a minute to appreciate my innocent remark. They made us feel apart of the play, too fun.

I've been coming to the Barn Theater with my aunt since I was young. Now, I attend with cousins when I'm in town. It am always impressed with the professionalism of the plays and the down-home personal treatment of this troupe. On the rare occasion that a big name star comes to perform at the Barn, that adds to the excitement of the evening.

Great place, the play was fantastic, they have a nice bar next to it in whe actor perform skits after the main play, you might enjoy the skits while you have a drink or dinner and a few drinks, Wednesday's they have a barbecue that is really good. The mosquitoes were vicious, they need to do something about it. However, we enjoyed ourseves.

Went to the bar show for the first time with my fiancé and his parents. It was absolutely magical!!! I had so much fun!!! I will definitely be back soon! No doubt about that!

What an experience I’ve had at the barn theater. It was my very first time being here after hearing about it for years and years. I finally had the chance to go and see The Wizard Of Oz and let me just tell you it was just phenomenal. So much talent and work put into their shows. I also lost my wallet, but they were so kind to call me back and tell me they found it after me worrying about it for the longest time. I can’t wait to be back and not loose my wallet next time of course😉 thanks for a good show!

We attend 4 to 5 of the shows each season. These young actors are really good and the bar show after the main show really showcases their singing talent. Spectacular! When I heard about the Barn Theater, I attended a show, not expecting it to be great. I was wrong. The actors/entertainers make the experience fabulous. If you enjoy the arts, stop in. You'll be hooked.

Escanaba in da moonlight. It's been a long time since I've laughed that hard. Watching it in a real barn truly gave it a up north out of doors Atmosphere. Take a walk around the property, You won't be disappointed.

I went for my first time and saw "Clue". Absolutely wonderful performance! I can't wait to visit again!

Saw an INCREDIBLE production of "MAMA MIA" tonight - wish I lived closer - it's an AWESOME theater located in tiny lil' Augusta, MI! Sure hope the folks in that area realize what a FANTASTIC facility they have - right in their own backyard!

What an amazing venue. Very cozy like home. Just hanging out with family and friends. Singing, laughing, dancing, relaxing, total enjoyment. Love!!! Genuine love.

It’s become a Christmas tradition over the past few years to attend the Shed and it’s Christmas Cabaret. Great young talent, a cozy setting and Christmas classics rounds out our holiday season. Someday we’ll have to make the trek from Vicksburg for a summer production.

What a gem! The Barn Theatre presents their season in the summertime and casts seasoned Equity actors as well as apprentices from their Barn Theatre School for Advanced Theatre Training program. It's a very talented group of people!

Each evening after a performance they offer a Cabernet style show in their Rehearsal Shed bar called The Bar Show. Very fun! $10 minimum per person, can be spent on drinks, snacks, and Plainwell ice cream. Same day reservations only.

Very nice grounds and fun venue. Mosquitos do lurk in the area so wear spray!

Enjoyed the evening, we were there for Baskerville. It was very different from the usual with so few members of the cast playing so many different people. Very good job done by the cast.
The Rehearsal Shedd was great as usual.

This place is amazing! We saw the rock of ages show not only were the actors talented, the songs were fun, and it was soo funny at times.

We just saw the musical Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. The Barnie team put on a loud, funny show and had the crowd on their feet by the end.
The Shed show was equally good afterward. Seating and service was slow there due in part to Michigan's opening up bars and restaurants the week before. It's hard to plan when you don't know for sure if you can open. The Barnies pulled it together though, dragging in extra chairs and having an all hands on deck attitude.
It was great to have a special evening out again and to find that the Barn not only survived but continues to shine.

What an amazing experience if you haven't checked out the barn I highly recommend you don't wait to do it. I've been going there for over a decade now. It's such a delight.
