A collegue from work and I truly enjoyed the evening dinner! I was totally amazed by the hospitality, service and atmosphere. For sure I will stop by again once I make it back to STL. We ordered pizza and salad, it was just great. Very fresh and homemade. I loved it!

I absolutely love Italian food, and this is some of the best I've ever had! The calamari and seafood pasta were amazing. My girlfriend and I were originally going to cunetto's house of pasta but they had a really long wait, so we went here. Best decision ever!

The service was amazing. They were attentive and friendly. The food was fantastic - everything is made in house and made in a timely fashion. We will definitely go back if we are ever in St. Louis again.

They are a great family style italian resturant, the drink adult style was well masterly blended and the scallops were perfect.. low cost, for what it is, and a five star eat

My husband and I decided to stop in on Friday evening around 7 for dinner. We were welcomed by the bartender and were sat promptly. The decor is absolutely stunning and provided a very intimate dining experience. We had an appetizer of toasted ravioli that were perfectly crispy. My husband had the Chicken Roma while I had the Godfather pizza and both were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The last time I had dined here was around 19 years ago and the quality of the food and service has certainly not diminished one bit.

It was incredibly dead for a Friday night. We might have been the people in the place. The service was spectacular. I had the veal marsala we were able to get white pasta instead of red for a $3 upcharge. It was worth it. My friend had the chicken marsala and also loved it. It was very affordable and yummy. My only complaint was the house dressing which was anchovy based. It was still edible but I don't know if I like anchovies. That's not their fault though. I tried something new and it just wasn't for me. I'd have liked a honey mustard, personally. Overall, very impressed. I'll likely visit again!

If you're looking for an affordable lunch or date night spot. Look no further.

Cozy casual dining experience and simple menu makes this spot on par with the rest of the Hill. It earns it's spot and is definitely being slept on. No mask requirement as of this review.

Pasta and sauces are made in house, full of flavour, and hot. The prices for drinks and food are surprisingly low for the area. Every entree comes with a salad.

Please keep in mind, the only downside is the small bathroom. It is small. And there's only one.

Also keep in mind they run a very tight ship. One or two servers and the owner is in the kitchen cooking everything. The quality is worth the wait.

Perfect for lunch and weekday date nights. Seriously, you won't have to wrestle with the long lines and wait times.

We had a great experience here. Our servers were kind and helpful, the food was delicious. I appreciated the healthy options on the menu, for those watching carbs or have sensitivities to gluten or dairy it was so wonderful. Definitely try the house dressing on your salad, so good.

My brother introduced me to this restaurant in the mid 80’s. I loved it so much that I announced my wedding engagement to my family upstairs in this beautiful restaurant at a wonderful dinner in 1992. We live in Southern Illinois, so we only frequent St. Louis occasionally. We were in town for our anniversary this weekend & decided to go to Lou Boccardi’s …So glad we did! So many places change over time & lose what makes them great. This place sticks to traditional values, recipes & decor. Don’t change anything!! Love it.

Our first time at this restaurant. I have passed it often over the past few years and wanted to try it. Had plans to hit another place tonight but they were closed so tonight was the night. This will definitely be a regular place to go. Had the house salad with their house dressing and that dressing (celery and anchovies?) was surprisingly very good. The main dish was Tutto Mare, seafood over linguine and I think that might have been the best Italian dish I've ever had! Wish I had room for the cheesecake.

My boyfriend and I, along with our 11 and 5 yr old were in town visiting parents and looking for some awesome Italian in the Hill. But unfortunately every restaurant had an hr and a half wait time...probably because it was Friday. 🤷🏼
We called Lou's and was able to get us a table earlier. I had read the reviews and although there are so many great ones, there were some bad ones can't begin to tell you how sweet and kind our server, Michelle, was. She was apologetic for us waiting (although there was no need for the apology). The toasted rav is a must. They cater to the kids. Michelle brought them special kids cocktails that they loved. My boyfriend had the veal marsala and I had the ravioli Florentine. Both were incredible. I can't begin to express how much we all fell in love with this place.

I haven't met Lily yet. But I will say that after my experience here with my family, I'm glad she has, what other reviewers state, an "attitude." I'm sure she's seen and been through a lot and has learned to succeed you have to be tough and sometimes not liked. I'm good with it. I lift my glass...To Lily!!!! Thank you for giving my family an amazing Friday evening dinner and experience!!

Outside tables in front of the restaurant are perfect for social distancing. The food was off-the-chain!! I loved the salad—the house dressing is quite unique. I ordered spaghetti with a meatless sauce and one meatball— both the sauce and meatball were incredibly good. I will certainly be back!

Happy to see this place is still open! I go there when in ST Louis for the last 30 years. I love the family run and the house atmosphere! Lilly is doing a great job running it and keeping her family values!
Wonderful thin crust pizza with the gooey cheese!! Hang strong thru the crazy times!!💕

My wife and I visited Friday night after waiting for a hour at another local restaurant we decided to try Boccardis to our surprise it was completely empty.
We decided to stay and was surprised by the quality of our meal very fresh full.of flavor. If you don't want to wait for 45 minutes for a table at other restaurants on the hill stop by this little place you won't be disappointed

The food is very tasty, and the hospitality is very nice. Even though we were new to the city we chose to sit outside but the waitress advised us that it was going to get cold and we'd better eat inside, it was really nice. sure I will come back again

We went to Lou Boccardi's for lunch while shopping on the Hill. After eating, my Daughter showed our server, Hailey, her ears that she had gotten pierced the week before. Hailey noticed that it appeared that the earrings were way too tight and that her ears were "swallowing" the earrings. She recommended a place to take here and said we should go there as soon as we can. We decided to take her advice and go get her ears checked out. When we got to Faded Out Tattoo Parlor, they told us that Hailey had called ahead to tell them we were coming and what the issue was. I and my wife were completely blown away that Hailey called ahead to let them know we were coming and make sure we were taken care of. Hailey went above and beyond anything I would normally expect from a server and showed her dedication to the people that come into Lou Boccardi's. The food was good as well and I would definitely recommend Lou Boccardi's to anyone visiting The Hill.
