Just went here for the first time to check it out. We weren't able to go inside with the virus going on but the lady who was working was incredibly helpful, going through different woods and rubs. The prices were more than reasonable and we will definitely be going back and buying in bulk this time (since we have an hour drive)

Update: we've been here multiple times now and I will never go anywhere else. The customer service is nothing like what you see anymore from helping pick what kind of wood to mix, different rubs to try and tips and trick for the new smoker I bought, this place is amazing. Couldn't be happier. Happy smoking everyone!!

Just bought a used Cookshack smoker oven on CL. Stopped in for some supplies and accessories. Ladies were very knowledgeable and EXTREMELY pleasant. Lots of helpful hints dispensed. The ladies gave good advice, even when it may have cost them part of the sale. Because of this, I will definitely be back. Definitely a hidden gem, worth seeking out!

Super friendly people who have the best prices. I purchased a Memphis Pro from them a few years ago and they made it a great experience. I continue to drive the extra miles to them to load up on pellets and other needs for the smoker because they have earned my business and offer the best selection and prices.

Great find. They have an amazing selection of smoking chips and chunks. The phone number and building is for some laser company but it does lead to this store. I stopped by during the COVID 19 pandemic and they were accommodating by doing curbside pick up. I did not know this until after trying to walk in but the lady working was very polite and helpful. Picked up a box of Oak and Almond chunks. The Oak is better quality and at a comparable, if not better rate, than what you'd get from Western in the bags. Can't wait for the COVID 19 pandemic to pass so I can shop around the store a bit. Will pick up my chunks here as much as possible.

What a wonderful little hidden gem. So helpful and knowledgeable about everything smoking meat. Prices are extremely reasonable and the wood is quality! We will definitely be back!

I have purchased charcoal and smoking wood along with dry rubs, I haven't been disappointed yet over the last 5 years. Consistency is a mark of a greatness!

This place was pretty cool it had lots of great pellets, they never seem very busy when I went there today they appear to be closed for Good. So what happened with this place?

They have a good selection of exotic woods for smoking. The problem is high prices and only one brand of very expensive lump charcoal. I haven't used it yet but I was assured it was top quality. If I can't tell the difference between it and Royal Oak, I will only be coming back here for specialty smoking woods.

Looking for pecan pellets I inadvertently ordered "Pecan Blend." As I discovered after a phone call to the Charcoal Store, the "blend" is a mix of oak and Pecan. The Charcoal Store told me that the oak is for heat; the pecan is for flavor. Since the BTU's per cord of oak and pecan are so similar, it is pretty obvious that the oak is added to be nothing more than a cheap filler and not for the heat as I was told. I call BS.
