Max & Erma's

Was having a grumpy day after a long day of travel. And unexcited about overpriced airport food. Waitress (Ashley I think) was super nice and sociable. She was very knowledgeable about beer questions someone asked. She put me in a good mood. Brought out beers fast which I needed. Food was good and good size portions.

Overall great place. Was fairly quiet and the service was quick and nice. Deborah took care of us and was excellent. My only complaint was the salads were mostly iceberg lettuce, which seems cheap for the price. Otherwise, everything was good.

I would eat at this place again, even if it was not in an airport. I had the garbage burger, which has bacon guacamole and a bunch of other good stuff. It was cooked and prepared perfectly. Took me less than 25 minutes from start to finish and even get enjoy some football while waiting for my flight. Just awesome

It was a balmy Chritmas, the only thing white this Christmas the Boeing 717 we were about to step onto for our holiday travel. The itinerary was full - but our stomaches were empty. It must’ve been fate that brought us here as we beelined towards the world’s last remaining Max and Erma’s. The aroma of tortilla soup and American pub grub flooded the nostrils; as my lips smacked back and forth at the sight of a cool, bubbly Coca Cola sitting on another diners table. “I’ll have what he’s having” I exclaimed at our waitress.

Soon she returned, and I was enthralled at the thought of that precious corn syrup water passing my lips. A symphony of flavors danced upon my tongue and angels sang as I took a long sip. Ecstasy, pure and simple.

Also, nom nom, French fries.

Had the vegetarian Omelette with side of turkey sausage

I missed this place. We had one near my hometown and it was my favorite restaurant. I loved the tortilla soup and salad with the breadstick. We had a layover at DTW and got a chance to have a bowl of soup. The salad wasn't the same and the breadstick is no more, but the soup is still delicious

I am giving this five stars because it was simple and easy. Quick bite on a quick layover. Service was good. Food served hot. Not sure what else I could ask for. Also the restaurant was clean as well. They had a fun bar area as well, but because I was working I could not take part in it. Overall great experience.

Great airport restaurant and bar. Our server was friendly and fast. We had a tight timeline to eat and catch our plane. Salad was big, fresh and full of great ingredients.

Ate here while waiting for our flight. Worked out well as they have omelets, breakfast sandwiches, and pancakes. We had the western omelet and pancakes. Everything was good! Would prefer real silverware as ours broke while eating.

Food was good. Wasn't too long of a wait for the food. Surprisingly with how busy and that it was cooked fresh. Even made sure to move the ketchup and mustard next to me.

Located right near Gate 17-18.

Stopped here for a quick bite before catching a flight. We had about 30 minutes so we sat at the bar.

The bartender,”Kim”, was busy but very friendly and quick. Even had us tab out while waiting for the food.

Ordered chicken fajita quesadillas, which came out in about 15 minutes.

Excellent! Crispy, hot, flavorful, with loads of chicken. Served with sour cream and guacamole. If we weren’t rushing we would have also asked for some salsa.

Generous portion and in hindsight we could have split one.

If you're looking for a great meal at the airport, look no further than Max & Erma's. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and quickly escorted to a table. The atmosphere was inviting and perfect for a quick bite before my flight.

What impressed me most was the speed of service. Despite the restaurant being busy, my burger arrived within minutes of ordering. The kitchen staff did an excellent job of preparing my food quickly without sacrificing quality. The burger was juicy and delicious, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned.

The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. They were aware that I had a flight to catch, so they made sure my food was served promptly, and I had plenty of time to eat before my flight.

Overall, I highly recommend Max & Erma's at the airport. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for a quick meal before your flight. If you're in a rush, they'll make sure you're well-fed and on your way in no time.

Pretzel sticks and burger were a nice pre flight meal. Views while dining of the terminal are awesome

Stopped here for breakfast for the early morning flight. The food was a little pricey but it was good. Our server Ashley was amazing she got us in and out in a timely matter super helpful with the older gentlemen next to us. I definitely will be back and recommend you stop in.

I wanted to eat during my long layover in the Detroit airport. Max and Erma's was one of the restaurants I looked at. Reviews went both ways but it was right across from my gate so I headed there. I was seated immediately. I wanted a beer first so I was researching Griffin Claw Norm's IPA which was on tap. My waitress, Jessica, arrived right away. I ordered the beer and said I wanted fish and chips but I wasn't in a hurry. The beer was excellent! Yes, it was nine bucks, but it was a huge glass and yes, this is an airport. As it got busier, I was afraid my order might go in too late so I flagged Jessica down. She said she had just placed my order without ever writing anything down. The meal was fantastic. A group of 10 came in while I was there and staff pulled tables together and quickly accommodated them. I was extremely pleased with my choice.

Amanda was an amazing server! She checked in on me several times. The quesadilla was well worth the money as it came with salsa, pico, guacamole, lettuce and sour cream nestled perfectly on the side. My quesadilla was cooked to perfection. THANK YOU Amanda.

Had their Turkey Avocado Mushroom Swiss Burger. Very yummy! Came with a boat load of golden frys. Would recommend to those looking for a good meal before catching your flight.

Great food . I was quickly seated and my food came out quick . Reasonably priced.

Great service at the bar! Can't go wrong with chicken tenders and fries and a nice cold Dragonmead Erik the Red!
