The absolute perfect hole in the wall restaurant just blocks from the Winslow ferry to Seattle on Bainbridge Island and the food was absolutely incredible. Loved everything about the place including the brightly colored mismatched plates and utensils and the staff was truly a gift... We will definitely return just for the food and the people. Absolutely love this place

Love this spot for breakfast. It's tiny but the perfect diner vibes. I've sat at the counter and table and had great service all of the times. Good food and portions, and definitely try a biscuit!

My husband has raved about Streamliner for years and this weekend I finally got to try it! It was so great we went back at the end of our weekend trip! The food is perfection - classic diner style and delicious! Coffee is great. The staff is so friendly and fun and the vibe inside is just relaxed, cool, and cozy. 10/10 can’t wait to come back!

Basically the only place in Kitsap open for brunch on Sundays with decent vegan options!

The tofu scramble has some tasty marinated tofu chunks with spinach and mushrooms, but I don’t like mushrooms so got them to sub in olives. They did charge me an extra $1 for that. It comes with perfectly cooked and steaming hash browns on the side and your choice of toast or muffin. I specified no butter for my toast, but it did come out totally dry. I was fine with that for the most part, but had finished my food with half a piece left and half wasn’t going to eat it dry, some jam would’ve been nice! I would’ve asked, but we were in a rush. They also initially forgot to bring my hash browns, but quickly remedied that when I asked about it.

The place is busy. We arrived at 11:10 am in a Sunday and though there was no line, all tables were full. We lucked out as a group of three was just leaving, but it took a few minutes to turn over the table. Once we sat we ordered quickly and coffee came out fast (they have oat milk), but then the food took quite a while.

Since we needed to leave, we went in and asked to pay around 12:40 pm. There is a nice little outdoor seating area for when the weather is decent! It’s October and we were fine outside, I imagine they close that at some point.

We did notice that whenever the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry arrived, there was a mad rush of people and a line would form, so if you’re not coming off the ferry, would highly recommend you look at the ferry schedule to avoid right after one arrives.

My friends (not vegan) got the BLT Benedict and breakfast burrito and said they were good and filling. “Perfectly cooked poached eggs with runny yolk and no slimy whites.”

Pesto and two sausage omelet!!! Do I really need to say more....oh let's not forget the daily fresh variety of muffins. I love the fact I can get surprised each time I go in with a new muffin!

The best breakfast ever. If you make it to Bainbridge island eat here. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a charming little restaurant with limited seating so you may need to wait a few minutes to sit down but totally worth it. The waitress was so sweet and attentive. We can’t wait to go back

Excellent food with a good selection of breakfast options. Big helpings, my wife got a side order of biscuits and gravy and it was just right. Only adult beverage is Mimosa’s. Very good attentive wait staff as well with indoor and outdoor dining options.

This place was getting crushed this morning. So many guests. Saw the owner drop behind the bar and throw on an apron. Everybody was cool and calm and the quality/presentation stayed between the lines. Such a great place. Now I need a nap. #topdeadcenter

New Review (August 2021)
I came by on a busy Friday morning straight from the ferry, on the way out to the Peninsula. It's a very convenient place to stop just off the start of the highway, and I brought my Mom along for a strong breakfast to start our vacation weekend.

The service was excellent as before, and this time I tried a new item: the biscuits and gravy, bacon on the side. Mom had the waffles with bacon and hash. We were stuffed and happy when we left.

If I may be so bold, I would love to see a lox & bagel item added to the menu, as there is a lox-style omelet available that has most of the requisite ingredients. I would order this every time, not being much of an egg or omelet eater. Still, I would come back again as this is by far the best breakfast option around Eagle Harbor. Bon Appetit!

Previous review:
Awesome classic diner with great service and tasty food. Seems to be more of a breakfast spot with the occasional lunch, and there are many more items on the menu I want to try. So far I've had the french toast with some bacon, and was thoroughly satiated and satisfied. Can't wait to visit again!

Great food, great vibes. No wonder it stays so busy! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Pretty small space, but cozy lively.

My husband and I visited Seattle and Bainbridge Island for the first leg of our honeymoon. We had lunch at the Streamliner Diner, and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so kind, attentive, and welcoming. The local diner atmosphere was so warm and lovely! It’s a beautiful, quaint space and the food was absolutely phenomenal. We had lunch, but their breakfast looked fantastic too! Their biscuits were delicious. My husband got the chicken club and I got the ABCLT and they were both delicious. If you’re in Bainbridge, this is well worth a stop! Will definitely be going back on our next trip.

The portion was huge. The food was delicious! I especially liked their muffin. It was moist and tasty! The service was good. My coffee and water were constantly refilled. I felt bit rushed at the end as people were lining up at the door, but it was fine.

I went near the opening time so I didn't wait at all, but I don't think I will wait in a long line to eat. It was good food and good service but not worth waiting in a long line for.

Classic diner feel, amazing staff, great service, delicious food. They were all so kind to our 1 year old. Even gave her a set of her very own kids tableware. Adorable.

I had the PNW Benedict and it was superb. My only issue was how large the serving and I couldn't finish it. Service was excellent and my only negative comment was that it was a little cold inside, but the coffee really warmed me up.

Local diner with a cozy vibe. Staffs are very helpful and the food is good. The place is packed during the weekend since the space is small. But most patrons and staffs are understanding and will help to accommodate people.

The biscuits are a direct import from heaven. More on the bread side with home made jam. YUM!!!

If I could have given them a 10, I would. Our visit was seemless and the service from everyone we encountered over the top. Breakfast available at noon and a tofu scramble on the menu. I could not have asked for anything more. It was a great visit and a great place!

Always the first breakfast stop when returning to Bainbridge.
I think it has improved since last year.
