Came here for my summer camp and loved it. I have been here before but for some reason have never played the disc golf course. I will come to play that again. Playground is fun with lots of things to do. Normally I come here just to catch and release lizards, but now I will come to play disc golf as well.

It was so peaceful sitting by the river, it really felt like a piece of wilderness in the middle of the city.

Beautiful, secluded and quiet! 9-hole disc golf course. Fun covered play area. Well kept facilities -- pavilion and restrooms. Close to trails and very high end neighborhoods. PRO TIP: Check out the trampoline park "House of Jump" that's next to the park.

Mathis is my favorite park because it has plenty of shade on those hot summer days. The walking trail is short, but never crowded & has shady spots at intervals. Sometimes I can even find a shady parking spot. Wow

I was pleasantly surprised, it was a pretty nice park! Lots of shade to escape the sun, a huge pavilion seating area, clean restrooms, a nice playground, and disc golf! It was a pretty lively place with people all around doing something and enjoying themselves. We will be back for sure.

Nice park, nice pavilion, lots of trees and shade on the playground. A stream to see if you walk down to it. Good bathrooms and drinking fountain. Not crowded. Family reunion lunch was great there!

This is a very Beautiful little Park ! Wow do I wish I lived in the neighborhood close to this park. What a gem. Well kept and clean. The playground for the children is top quality.
We came for the disc golf course and it was a great short course with good obstacles. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to relax or exercise or play.
Enjoy !!

Beautiful grassy neighborhood park, with a nice playground, covered area with tables, and mature trees. Also serves as a disc golf park, with 9 permanent baskets, and a soccer field. Very nice paved walking trail, with lots of shade, watch out for flying discs. Disc golfers please respect walkers and other park people. The disc golf course does not have T-pads, use U-disc app for layout, and most of the baskets are around 200 feet distance, and lots of trees. Lots of parking, but busy on weekends.

Went there to play disc golf. It was a lot of fun for myself and my teenage son's. It was an easy course which was perfect for us since we are not professional frisbee throwers. It would be too easy for an experienced disc golfer. Perfect for beginners and intermediate players or just to get some exercise.

Fun family park with oval walking/biking path, frisbee golf course, soccer field, covered picnic tables, medium sized play ground, and restrooms. Good place to walk a dog or burn some of the kiddos energy.

Very fun 18 hole disk golf course. We played while traveling thru from out of town. Had we known more we would have started at the last 9 due to pushing a stroller. The last 9 are a more simple park style course. The first 9 holes are offroading.
(Without a stroller, I definitely prefer the first 9) Awesome long distance open range shots.)

Great little secret area. Love the large trees. The playground could definitely use some maintenance, but I enjoy that it's tucked back and not super busy.

Well maintained park with great 9 hole disc golf course, however, it is on the smaller side so pedestrians do block the course a lot.

We call this "frog park" because we've found frogs in the river area. A pavilion, frisbee golf, lots of shade under big trees, a playground for the kids. I hesitate to review it because that'll bring more folks. It's not huge, but it's comfortable and nice.

Hidden little park, we had fun playing frisbee golf and in the playground and we saw a lot of walkers with dogs. There's also a nice pavillion with charcoal grills.

Great, shaded walking trail! Playground is a little worn down, but it's covered. Perfect for summer, and there's a disc golf course.

Mathis Park is beautiful in the Spring! We found a frog and enjoyed the playground and green spaces. It was a great venue for the kids' Spring Hand Craft Fair!
