Romulus House Restaurant

This damn Catfish is the ultimate. It almost has a sweet taste to it. Fried perfectly. Not too salty. Been going here for years. Started going for lunch when I worked at the plant. One of my favorite places to get catfish and I only go to 3 places. I used to think they had a black dude in the kitchen because ain't no way that catfish is supposed to be that damn good. It melts in your mouth 😋.
I also fell in love with the tartar sauce and pickles.

Today was our 1st visit to Romulus House Restaurant. We had stayed at a Detroit Airport hotel & looked on Google for a breakfast restaurant with great reviews. Well, we were so happy we drove the few extra miles to this cute, clean place! June, our waitress, was kind, fun & filled with excellent customer service. My coffee was fresh & kept hot. Our gyro omelettes with buttered grits, wheat toast & strawberry jam was DELICIOUS! You have to come here!! ❤

Good fresh food in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Service is prompt and the food is delicious, fresh and tasty. Service is friendly and fast.

Came in to this nice breakfast place for the first time the Saturday before last and the dining/Server experience was completely satisfactory. I recommend coming here for a quiet yet small ambience dining atmosphere. The Food was good of course 5 stars in all categories.

Food is out of this world good!!!! Always great service and very good portions!!!!

Excellent breakfast and great value. Fed my 4 hungry kids with leftovers, including tip, for $20. Service was friendly and good, she didn't hound us and it was very quick. Really pleased, we'll come back. The hashbrowns were shredded and nicely crispy on the outside, they loved them. Recommend!

UPDATE: went back on a Friday closer to lunch time, almost 11. It was busier in there, service not so good. Server seemed rushed. Received our food in decent time but couldn't find ketchup and our server didn't come back around until later to refill my coffee one time. Still ok and the kids liked it, but i much preferred our first visit over the second visit.

Great place to eat, regardless of you dine in, or take out. Quiet settled place. Not many restaurants I know of only thing you hear is conversation and, forks, spoons, plates clanking. Great place for family to eat.

Absolutely delicious everything we tried. I had to pulled pork sandwich and omg delicious, very tender and juicy. I want it again

Excellent breakfast food, served all day. You could tell the hashbrowns were real potatoes, more like american fries, very good. Service from staff was top notch, we received coffee refills from all staff not just our server. Cozy enviroment and not far from airport.

Food is fantastic. I don't exactly know what depicts "better quality" ingredients but I'd say they are using them.
The eggs were great and cooked perfectly over easy. Sausage links weren't just store bought. The hash browns were handmade!! Absolutely fabulous food and service. I even brought my service dog in the restaurant with me

We love this place! The homemade soups are just amazing. Tuesday is German potato soup day, and it is not to be missed. So delicious and rich. Their breakfasts are top-notch. They actually use fresh potatoes instead of frozen for the hashbrowns, and it really makes a difference! The wait staff are always friendly, no matter how busy they are. Highly recommend.

Great food. The NY steak sandwich was fresh and juicy. The mushroom burger was top notch. The vegetable was fresh. It's even very affordable.

They tended to be on the light side when it comes to salt, but:
It's better for your health. And you can always add more yourself.

Ordered broasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy. Cod dinner with mac and cheese. to go.

Came here for late lunch with my parents. I ordered fish and chips. My parents love the catfish and shrimp. Everything was delicious. I'll return when I'm home visiting family again.

Their catfish is a must try. The waitress was really nice and provided a lot of good recommendations.

Fantastic place to have breakfast here. Cheap and warm service when it snows outside. Recommended.

Wonderful ambience when we walked in the door! Immediately greeted by warm and welcoming staff. Cozy, yet lots of room for families. I had eggs and bacon and grits. The bacon was delicious and crisp and thick. The owners were out and about and very helpful. The prices on the menu were great for the size portions you get. Had a very enjoyable meal with my family. This place is near Romulus HS if that helps you locate it. Ample parking. Great selection of omlettes and sandwhiches. Generous portions. Highly recommend. Would ve a good place to eat after work too. Good size parking lot. Very diverse crowd.

The owner went out of his way to make sure my kids mom and I had everything we needed. He was polite kind and all around a great guy. He remembers names and faces and asked about loved ones that are no longer here. My mom has gone here many times in the past as it is right by her house, I will be coming here more often even though it is about 30 mind from my house.

Oh and our food was amazing, my kids kept saying they wanted multiple things rootbeer float at 11 am, strawberries blueberries and whipped cream on a waffle, we didn't get charged extra. The owner kept talking with my kids (7 and 13) about any random topic they picked. The other employees we talked to were also very nice and would have a conversation with my, at that time super hyper and hangry kids

Best omelette I've had in years! I got the southern omelette with no onions and added sausage. It was easily a 9.5 out of 10. Could've used a tad more cheese and a tiny bit more gravy but that's just being picky. I'm not going anywhere else for an omelette again
