Meijer Optical

I never thought to get an eye exam at Meijer & went in with low expectations. Dr. Elam was amazing! Super friendly, thorough, and able to easily answer all of my questions. I usually jump doctor to doctor based on who can see me first or cost, but I think I’m sold! I will definitely be back to see her again! 🤓

Recently was at Fort Gratiot Meijer optical. Dawn ( staff)was excellent. Loved the frames she suggested. Very knowledgeable!
Optometrist was very good. !!

The ladies there are great. They're always so helpful and nice. Tricia was awesome, she helped me find the best deal and a great pair of frames that I love. They may not be able to control the eye doctors availability, but they do a great job with everything else. I would go there again.

I think that they are very well educated and know what they are talking about. The lady’s there are great!

Beyond disappointed and displeased. The eye doctor rushed through the exam and didn’t let me answer any questions. When I tried to bring up a concern he made assumptions about me and the car I drive and just dismissed the concern with no explanation. The front desk lady takes an ungodly amount of time to do anything and they kept my lens prescription???? Not to mention that they aren’t always open when it says they’re open online and it says their hours on the front as open for the optical place. Disorganized, unreliable, and mediocre at BEST.

I didnt have a chance to go yet because who ever closed the store today.( Saturday 4-8-23) freaked out on me. When she told me that the doctor is only there on Wednesdays I laughed and said, well that's weird. Immediately she yelled " Maybe you should just go to Lens Crafters" and hung up on me! WTH??? She needs anger management and a course in professionalism. I'm going on Monday to speak to her manager because that's just not acceptable. Crazy is the word that comes to mind.

Ordered my glasses. Explained to girl doing the perscription I wanted the transitional lens. Didn't get it though. She said yeah I see that on your glasses. Get my glasses 3 weeks ago. When I spoke with them same day explained the lady said she would have to reorder. Well call today. She didn't reorder. Said she spoke with my insurance and whatever. Never called me back to explain.

I went thinking I would get a new prescription, paid for the exam and was later told that I can't get a prescription from the exam they gave me. This sure feels like some scam. I am so upset with Meijer , I will not be back and would not recommend this to anyone. Uneducated staff and I didn't see a doctor on site ?! What a joke, don't waste your time or money.

Will never use them again very disorganized and rude. I would find another provider.

Waiting over a month for my glasses to arrive . Smh
