Pursuit Fitness Center

I've been going to Pursuit for a little over a year now and working with personal trainer Connor. He has me in the best shape of my life, which is a lot to say as a man in my 60s. I should have started working with these great people years ago. The gym is well-equipped, Connor keeps my workouts interesting and challenging and I love the friendly vibe that Connor, Russ and the other trainers create here. This is my kind of gym.

I will be a member of Pursuit Fitness for as long as I live in Columbus! I became a member almost 2 years ago and started out with a few months of working with Russ (owner) to kickstart my own strength training journey. I had a great experience, and though I no longer do personal training, I can assure anyone that Russ and his team are incredibly supportive and all around awesome people to train with. Pursuit has an approachable atmosphere and is great for those who might feel overwhelmed at commercial gyms or just wants a low-key place to focus on their training regimen. I’ve never had any problems at this gym! People mind their own business and are always friendly. Thanks Russ, for creating a gym I love so much that I felt prompted to write my first ever Google review. :)

Joined about 6 months ago & have really enjoyed my experience here. It’s a small gym with just the right amount of equipment & people. It never feels crowded (even during peak hrs), the staff is friendly, & the price per month is very reasonable. 100% would rather belong here than a commercial gym. Bonus points for the fact there are no creepy men & everyone really keeps to themselves. The enviornment is great!!

I cannot recommend Pursuit Fitness highly enough. It is a place where everyone is welcome to be who they are, without worry of judgment from anyone else. People of all ages and from all walks of life belong to Pursuit, and this is clearly a goal that the owner, Russ, wanted and has achieved. I felt at home right away. I am lucky to work with Eric as my trainer. He is kind, easy-going, and motivating, and he knows how to put your goals into an exciting plan of action that makes going to the gym, dare I say, fun. For the first time in my life, I look forward to going to the gym.

Visited Pursuit Fitness in Upper Arlington yesterday (Wednesday) around 7pm. They have a variety of racks, machines, free weights, benches, treadmills, elliptical, open floor space, etc.

Most of the equipment looked fairly new. Facility was clean and well maintained. Would recommend for someone that wants more of a private gym experience. 5 Stars

I reached out to Pursuit Fitness through Thumbtack back in September and man was that a great decision on my part! I wanted to find a personal trainer that understood that I was in this to form a habit with the expectation that I could take over on my own once I felt comfortable. Russ was the perfect fit. He responded to my quote that same day and we set up a time for a consultation to discuss his options for personal training and what I was hoping to gain from it. I was very impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and facility! I ended up purchasing a three-month package for 30 minute sessions and we worked together to establish goals and track my progress. Every time I showed up he was ready to go with a new routine, and throughout the session he would explain which muscles we were targeting, why it's beneficial, and how it all connects. We would discuss diet and the types of exercises I should be doing when not at the sessions, as well as variations to those exercises. The facility was very nice, a little crowded at times but that just goes to show how more and more people are drawn to Russ's expertise as well as the rest of the team there! I purchased a gym membership as well and really appreciated the 24 hour access. Overall I had a fantastic experience, learned a lot, and will take the knowledge that Russ has given me to develop my own routines to keep active and healthy in the future! I really can't thank him enough!

Can't recommend highly enough. Professional, well trained, and friendly trainers who can help you design a workout program around exactly what you want, no matter what your fitness goals. As a hard core nerd I really appreciate the depth of knowledge behind their recommendations, super refreshing to get fitness advice from someone following the actual fitness literature, not just "drink 15 protein shakes with the additive of the month and pick up this heavy object until you get tired" :). Both my wife and I work out here, individually and together, and we both love it.

Very clean and super nice staff. Had a major shoulder surgery and trainer Connor helped me get back on track. Trainers are very very knowledgeable.

Pursuit is a great facility to make anyone feel comfortable. It is a small, friendly and encouraging atmosphere. I also love the fact that members have 24access which makes it SO convenient with small children and a hectic schedule at times.

I recently started training with Frank at Pursuit Fitness and I am already seeing results! The gym is clean, it’s never too busy to feel overwhelmed, and Frank always shows up to kick me into gear.

Excellent facility! Great equipment and phenomenal staff! Great private gym with knowledgeable trainers. Would reccomend to those just starting to work out or even the seasoned veteran just looking for an intimate private club!
