NEGATIVE STARS !! If I could give no stars I would! Carlton ( CJ) Churchfield is one of the rudest people I have ever came in contact with. He is a bully and doesn't know how to conduct business in a professional manner WHAT SO EVER! I will NEVER sell or buy with them ever again! DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

Did my dad wrong in the 90s. Seems he still has bad business practices. My dad listed a house for sale with him - the house wasn't getting any interest, according to Art.. Come to find out there was lots of interested buyers. I called myself, acting as an interested buyer, nd was told by Art the house was in contract (it wasn't). Several family friends called inquiring on the house - same response from him. After the 6 month contract, ART lowballed an offer to buy the house since it "just wasn't moving". Dad listed with another agent and sold in three days.

I was asked to honestly review Carlton as my realtor. I will be saying all these things in hope someone else isn’t misled by him. Carlton is a very nice person, but he talks a big game and does not have the realty knowledge to follow it up and I WOULD NOT recommend him. We needed to sell our house very quickly due to my husband job transfer, my husband had known him from a prior job (not Realty) together. We had only been in our house for a year. The market our house is in sells fast and high. We are a young couple and had never sold a house. He made promises to us that he didn’t keep (nor had the ability to even offer) like offerings to cute coats. Carlton exact words were that he “would cut cost and help us out so we could get at close to zero as possible” . We also learned he never researched our area, or if he had he would have been able to advise us better. Carlton convinced us we need to accept the first offer we received and also to give the buyer $3,000.00 towards the closing costs.

Nevertheless, because of his inexperience and our trusting the realtor to advise us correctly, we sold our house for $10,0000.00 over our mortgage payoff and still had to bring $5,500.00 to the closing. Carlton walked away with a commission check almost as high.

We tried to talk to his broker Mr. Russo, so he would know what is happening and prevent further unhappy clients. Mr. Russo never returned any of our calls or emails. Making us realize they only wanted a pay check. We recognize it is a done deal now and lesson learned, but I would have appreciated his caring about his staff to follow up and at least address the issue. Therefore. I WOULD NOT recommend this real estate office either.

Don’t trust Art!! We were misled in a real estate transaction multiple times only so he could unethically drive the prices up. Told us on 2 separate occasions what offer we needed to present to “get it done” only to still sell it elsewhere. Absolutely no integrity by Art Russo
