USPS Detached Del Unit Post Office

Was able to get inside when a delivery truck was on its way out. Driver pointed me to go inside and ask for Supervisor named Kevin. The receptionist had a young man there who was very polite. Supervisor helped me get info my missing package which I was able to obtain shortafter-Thank you!
P.S. Went there around 10:30 A.M.

After seeing the reviews, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get what I needed done; however, the staff and supervisor I talked with were friendly, helpful, and got what I needed done same day!
Ps: this is not a retail location, I got in following a delivery truck after speaking with the mailman

This isn't a public post office. You should only go here if a different post office sent you here. If you have a mail hold your mail may be kept here (which was the case for me).
To get in, come between 10 AM and 11 AM on weekdays. Go to the entrance on 8th street and ring the buzzer on the gray intercom. Someone will answer and you can talk to them on the intercom. Alternatively, you can wait for someone to be heading out and the gate to open and head in. They won't like that, but its a good way to get their attention and get your issue addressed.
It shouldn't be this hard to to get your mail, but don't blame the employees who work here - its their management and system, not their fault!

This is a garage for USPS, not an office. Don't be mislead.

Not responsive to customer complaints. Residents in 94702 assigned here have nowhere to pick up parcels or letters requiring signatures. Because they say they have no place to store them, they send your mail of this type to the Oakland postal distribution center before the expiration is up on the time stated on the notice left behind when you aren't home. Then it's returned to sender. It's difficult to schedule a redelivery.

The post office should look at these reviews and be the change they need to be. Correct the problem if your not open to the public then post it. If your employees aren't motivated then change that. Dibt take fir granite your getting a pay check anyways. And make your employees feel appreciated as well as secure in their environments get with the city and make them responsible for the homeless camped outside your walls this us a perfect example of dominos. All down hill.take pride and your community will take pride with you not work against each other but with.

This place is a mess, and before you go, CHECK YOUR TRACKING NUMBER because your mail is likely re-directed to a nearby USPS office.

I wish I could give -10... I Called 20 times at different hours and nobody ever picked up my calls. My package has been stuck here for three days (the delivery address is just 5 miles away...).
Worst service ever. Hope your mail/package never has to go through this office.

Everyone here was very disrespectful. The supervisor Glen snapped at us and escorted us to the front, slammed the door and did not try to help us get information about the package. Don’t even bother trying to come here if your package or mail lands here.

The door bell is broken.
I was to pick up my package and USPS office told me to ring the bell to talk with the supervisor. The door bell is broken and no one pick up the call.

If I could give -5, I would. This Post Office has staffs who do not want to be there. They misplace several mails and a few of them including payments

This is NOT a retail location. IF you are looking to buy stamps or mail something, don't go here. IF you are a postal worker, looking to get your job done, this might be the place! Hours of operation are not relevant to the general public.

Idiotic office... took an hour for someone to answer the door and after all that, they sent my vacation hold mail out for delivery after I asked for a pickup

I wish I could give zero. Package was not delivered and office phone number listed on its web is not working.
