In terms of store size, this Issaquah branch is very much smaller than the flagship multi-storey Seattle branch. I'd say the size feels similar to the Bellevue branch. This Issaquah branch is adequately stocked to keep us coming back throughout the year; especially when there are ongoing sales! While it's hard to find help at Seattle's branch due to its sheer size, this Issaquah branch has plenty of staff who are always ready to help. Parking here is also a lot easier as compared to Seattle and Bellevue branches. It's actually quite hard to rate REI branches because their warm & friendly service is quite consistent across various stores across the nation.

I wish all the workers had customer service like ROBIN! She’s one of the kindest person I’ve ever met. Thanks for helping me out what to wear for my trip to Alaska! Thank you robin see you soon!!

The REI isn’t huge but it does have a nice selection to choose from. They have a bike shop here as well which is pretty neat. All of the employees were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful selection of gear. Lots of colorful clothes. Sleeping bags and tents. What more do I need? Waterproof hiking boots!

REI has exceptional customer service and all the employees are very knowledgeable and friendly when assisting with purchases. Jack in the footwear department was extremely helpful and kind when helping me make my decision. (Bellevue location is great too.)

Stopped by today for some help with ski boots and Charlie was fantastic! Very knowledgable and friendly. This REI always treats us well, but Charlie went above and beyond today. Thanks Charlie!

I've always shopped at this branch and love the products here. Recently I found out that REI now has a trade in program for members. You can mail your trade in products back or bring to the store. On the website it says that if you mail in, and they decide not to accept your item for whatever reason, they will not return the items back to you. I didn't want to risk losing my items if REI doesn't want to accept, so I brought them in to the store. The trade in process was very easy and no hassle, it's done very quickly and I got back the trade in value in the form of REI gift card emailed to me right away. Very happy with this experience! Thanks REI!

REI's friendly staff are always happy to assist you. While this location is smaller than Seattle and Bellevue stores, they can still help you with most of your needs.

Emily in the bike shop was absolutely amazing.  She was extraordinarily professional and compassionate regarding the various bike and trainer challenges my wife and I were experiencing. We utilized online videos and another local bike shop without success, so we turned to our trusted/loved local REI.  Not knowing what would come of our visit to the bike dept, we were greeted by a gentleman who listened to our dilemma and got us the most amazing bike technician, Emily! Upon her listening to us and evaluating our equipment, she was able to diagnose the issues, as well as take the time to educate us. Truly great customer experience and a welcome outcome thanks to Emily.  In our opinion, she is a true asset to the REI bike shop and an amazing person. Thanks again, Emily, and you rock!

I spent the last couple of days trying to find a bear can, apparently this is the new thing to be sold out everywhere. This REI had one available to rent, so I made the reservation in which they take your name and phone number. As I was on my way, I got a call from Chase telling me that someone had just returned what I needed! He held it for me for a few minutes until I got to the store. Chase went above and beyond helping me with the reservation as well. Excellent customer service and really appreciated him taking the time to help me out!

I came here for snowboard binding installation. As a beginner, I was totally not sure about how to start. Ski shop staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me with my questions and installed my snowboard perfectly. Definitely will come back again for snowboard shop services in the future.

Wanted to give a shoutout to the folks in the bike department, who helped me find a new bike, assembled said bike and accessories, and troubleshooted when we couldn't find a rack to fit the bike. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and humorous, which resulted in an awesome experience.

We purchased a bike there. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We found some good deals there in Memorial Day. Very nice shopping experience.

I went in with a friend to get a backpack and hiking poles. We walked by one REI employee who heard our conversation and asked to help us with backpacks. Then we were talking about poles and a another guy heard us and asked to help and he went out of his way to help with poles. What a pleasure it was to have people who were excited to help us. I went to check out shoes and spoke with another guy who went out of his way to be helpful. Made our day!

All the employees here seem to just love their jobs and like they want to be there. The man in the shoe section, I think his name was Jack(?), Was so helpful and really on top of things. He listened to what I needed and recommended what he thought would work best. He didn't let anyone in his section go without a check in for very long either. Then, when we got to checkout, the lady at the register was so nice and happy to be there too! Just an overall excellent experience.
