A great, quiet place to have lunch. Has a very homey feel and the owners are always very friendly. I like the Texas Central without cheese, the prefect sandwich (if you like horseradish).

The classic Rappacino is really good. We just sat there and played trivia for a hot minute and talked about nothing. Something about this place is just really comforting. Nothing on the menu is too expensive, so everyone can usually show up. Looking forward to going back.

A staple on Columbia Pike! Best smoothies I have ever had. So much so that we do not live in the area anymore and we still come a few times a month to get them! Also love their Sienna Chicken Panini. Great spot!

Out of all the cafes I've been to on my weekend trip to DC this one is by far my favorite. Its cozy and down to earth. The Tiramisu is lovely and the hot chocolate is wonderful, nothing like the watered down kind at Starbucks. Its rich and creamy. 5/5 I highly recommend coming here rather then starbucks (across the street)

Walked in to classical music. That right there sets a great tone.

I got one of their Panini sandwiches, which also came with some chips, and a great caramel latte. At $15 it wasn't cheap, but good stuff never is. The only complaint is that it's a bit too warm in there. Need to lower the temperature a bit.

The gentleman owner was a delight to order from.

Overall, a great way to support local.

Worked here all day. The bagels with cream cheese are delicious and priced well. Iced and hot coffee were both good. Plenty of seating and places to charge a laptop!

5 stars in 2019, still 5 stars in 2023. If you're looking for a quiet lunch spot or a locally-owned neighborhood coffee shop, this is the place. Great coffee, great prices, and great customer service.

I live their coffee, i know this place for like 17 years and their coffee is always fresh and so good , if you love flavored coffee most of the coffee shops making too sweet but theirs is very well balanced so you can enjoy. Inside is very old maybe need some little restoration but we loved the roaster on the back room. Thank you

Mr. Lee and Paul are wonderful people. They make this coffee shop feel like a second home. - Paul and his scroll. To which he copied by hand, Shakespeare's Tempest.

Best coffee in the local area I've had so far, hot or iced. Seems to me like they're roasting their own coffee

This place, in my opinion, should be the template for what other coffee shops imitate in their businesses:

1) a subtle, quiet and clean atmosphere/ambience
2) damn good coffee that doesn’t just taste like burnt bean juice (good coffee isn’t supposed to taste bitter all the time)
3) quality cwoissant

There is a guy in there who serves coffee; he's so very nice with warm disposition & attitude. The coffee here is very good quality and is the BEST price in Arlington or probably in Virginia ($2.00 for small, and $2.32 for medium size). There's continuous relaxing classical music playing, conducive for study and mental works. There is a fan-like device always on for filtering, purifying the air. You will like this place--I fell in love with the quiet, simplicity, and spirit of this quint Coffee place.

Wonderful local coffee shop. This place is so nondescript and is probably overshadowed by the Starbucks that sits right across the street, but really exceeded my expectations.

The coffee itself was very good. I got their blend of dark and medium roast on the cashier's recommendation, and I wasn't disappointed.

I'll also say the staff was great. Paul, the only employee working when we went, was awesome. Not super talkative, but made some great recommendations and was very nice. Honestly, he's half of what made our experience so great.

There definitely isn't a lot of money in this place and it isn't as flashy or hipster as some of the other coffee shops in the area (the logos on their coffee beans were clearly made in Microsoft Word, their cup sleeves were Vineyard Vines Christmas ads and the whole place just smelled kind of old), but that's what gave it it's charm. It felt like a coffee shop that you would find in a rural town, not the heart of our nation's capital.

Couple of takeaway thoughts:

1) We went near closing on a Saturday evening, so the shop was pretty much empty and we were served almost immediately. But, from reading other reviews, it looks like they usually only have one employee working at a time which means there could be a significant wait if you go during peak hours.

2) There's not a ton of seating. They have a few tables and a bar at the front of the shop along with a couch and a couple swivel chairs in the rear. The whole shop is pretty quiet, so it's a great place to get some work done, just know that you could be fighting for space.

3) There's a small gravel lot behind the shop that you're allowed to park in, but it's not huge. So you may have a little trouble in that department. But again, it's not an issue if you avoid going during peak hours.

Overall, this place is awesome and I will definitely go again.

Cozy cafe with homey atmosphere. Good coffee options and homemade bagels. Parking in the back was a big plus for me! Recommend for tourists wanting to skip the Starbucks or Dunkin line.

I really love this place. The environment and quality of the coffee. However, what is most nice about this place is the attention. Thank you Paul for make it special and to make customers happy.

Nice relaxed environment. Not too crowded on a Saturday morning, with plenty of indoor seating available (outside seating consisted of a single table & 2 chairs). I tried a frozen coffee beverage, which was fantastic and well made. Service was quick and I will certainly return in the future. Hours posted were 6a - 7p.

One of THE BEST coffee shops in the area. The owners are hardworking (open 7 days a week) and very friendly. There happens to be a Starbucks right across the street from them but people line up out the door @ Rappahannock Coffeehouse. That should tell you all you need to know! The Coffeehouse has a very "homey " feel to it with areas to sit & chat as well as tables to eat at. Not a huge menu as far as the food but very good & always fresh. You can't go wrong by choosing the Rappahannock Coffeehouse. I LOVE their cafe mochas!

Very cozy feel, you can tell this is a community centric coffee shop and everyone there seems like regulars. I enjoyed drinking my Americano while reading some articles on my phone. Definitely a perfect spot for a quiet relaxed Sunday morning. The coffee was also very good, served a little hot to drink immediately but just gives you all the more reason to sit and relax while you wait for it to cool.

I love this place! It's super quaint. If you need to get some work done or write a book this is a place for you. The staff is always friendly and inviting. The gently played classical music is a plus for great concentration.
