😋 Very delicious Mexican food with that home-style vibe. Great service and fun atmosphere. Definitely a must try experience when hungry on Bainbridge Island.

The salsa is amazing and complemented by good, crispy chips. I got the mesquite chicken and sour cream enchiladas and the flavors were great. Not crazy about their rice but I filled up on the chips and enchiladas anyways ❤❤ definitely will be back again!

Absolutely the best fajitas I have ever had. Wonderful staff. Very friendly and welcoming. When I asked for a box, they even made an extra margaritas to go. These guys are above and beyond. Absolutely recommend and will definitely come back. Thank you.

The crab chimichanga is a favorite of our family - so rich! The Margaritas are also fantastic.

Just found this great local gem....very clean....wonderful staff....and menu is great! Sit outside or inside...a great local Bainbridge Island place...my new favorite.

On Bainbridge and looking for delicious food and a tasty margarita? Hit up San Carlos. I had the tacos and my son a burrito. Both were delicious and generous portions.

Had a great meal in the bar. Love the classic rock they play in there, a very nice vibe. We split our go-to San Carlos combination (grilled steak burrito, a mesquite smoked chicken and sour cream enchilada, and a pork verde enchilada) with a Mac and Jack’s African ale and a Cadillac margarita, and walked away full and happy.

Andrew's cuisine was unmatched, he's spicy, on point and thinks on his feat.

Perfect timing despite availability. We were only a little pecking at dinner time, but knew that we would be hungry by 830 or 9pm. This lovely place was open with fantastic service despite only having one server working. She gave impeccable service, and we were quite pleased with our selection for dinner. Would definitely recommend!

This was our first time there. The staff was very tentative and polite. The food was absolutely amazing. Every single item tastes different and very very delicious, whereas in many Hispanic restaurants the food all taste the same. This was certainly NOT the case. Everything was authentic and cooked to perfection. This was hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. I will certainly be back. It was so good I had to call my mom, who is Hispanic, just to rave about the food. AMAZING!

The nest Mexican food I've ever had, hands down. The smoked chicken and sour cream enchiladas were divine.

Service was "over the top". Food & drinks were excellent. We are visiting from Arizona, so we have experienced great Mexican food. San Carlos is among the best. I was very pleasantly surprised to find Mexican food this good in this area of the country. Our server was Kara. I recommend San Carlos.

I love the ambiance here and the food is consistently high quality and well prepared. I found the service to be attentive and kind. I suspect some of the other reviewers are from big cities and used to being rushed out the door. Relax folks, and enjoy your time on the island.

Made to order, not cheap, friendly staff, authentic, great steak quality, definitely coming back.

Love love love this restaurant! I hear folks complain about slow service, but this is a restaurant with a very intimate setting. I want that slower service that comes with the ambiance! We always get to chat and catch up almost as if we are at home eating dinner. Such a relaxing place! If you are into slow service and a great place to eat some amazing food, visit San Carlos. Btw. I'm not much into Mexican food, but this blows away everywhere else I've eaten by far. San Carlos sets the standard with their Carne Asada! Believe me, the wait is worth it.

Everything we've tried on the menu has been amazing. The servers are friendly helpful, and the atmosphere is generally cozy and relaxing. You can also order the salsa and chips to go! They also have a generator, which makes them a great place to go if the power's out from a storm.

Went last night on a date night w my fiancé . The vibe here is so eclectic and fun . Really delicious fresh salsa. And the manager and our waiter were so attentive and had us laughing all night. Thanks for the excellent service - we had a great time !

House burrito and house margarita. DONE. Heaven.

By far my favorite Mexican/Southwestern food in the area. The food, drinks, and staff are fantastic. One of my favorite places to take friends and family. Nothing better than the Margarita's margarita over dinner! Getting hungry (and thirsty!) just thinking about it.

I've been going to San Carlos since 2004. The margaritas are the best I've ever had and are the benchmark I use to measure all others against, I haven't had one measure up yet. Food is delicious and there is always leftovers. If you are yearning for great mexican food San Carlos has to be on your list. I recommend the San Carlos combination as it gives you a mix of their chicken, steak, and pork. Plus they have great chips and salsa.
