We’ve been dining here for many years and still love it after a three year absence. Chef Greg and Betsey do an amazing job turning out excellent food and warm, friendly service. We ate here twice during our most recent stay on Bainbridge. First night we sat at the bar - they were at full capacity - and had a great meal of seared fresh wild salmon and mussels & frites. Our server was warm and wonderful and we had a great chat with Betsey about their creative cocktail program. Chef’s house made rolls with cultured butter is a must have here! They are warm and crusty and perfect. Everything he makes is great. There are no bad choices. So happy to see it thriving in this challenging time for the hospitality industry. Marche is a gem worth seeking out.

Very friendly staff and welcoming decor. We stopped by for a weekday lunch and had mussels and fries and vegetables cooked in 5 ways. The fries were excellent with the seasoned mayonnaise on the side. Everything was delicious. Bravo!

Phenomenal. The chef is a master. The steak is always cooked to perfection. Everything here is outstanding. Best restaurant on the island by far.

As expected of the restaurant with the highest stars in this island! (as of summer 2019) This is a restaurant with concept - with the determination to become a real "restaurant," whereby customers come in hungry & tired, and leave feeling restored/nourished. The food is great and the restaurant's design is very pleasing to the eyes. If you have time, read the restaurant owner's reflection writing placed next to the restroom (also included in this post). It's impressively well-written. Reading this will make you appreciate your experience in the restaurant much more. My only complaint/warning would be that you should only enter this place if you have plenty of time. The restaurant don't have many staffs during lunch. It can't be helped, I guess, that the service is slow.

Fabulous food and fantastic drinks, worth the ferry ride. Cabernet-Braised Skagit River Ranch Short Rib (took a bite from friend's plate) = delicious and ridiculously big which was great, the meat was tender and melted in your mouth. Pleasant View Duck Breast= cooked nicely, although I prefer mine a little bit on the rare side, the skin cooked just right. Seafood Stew (only tasted the broth as portion just enough for friends) = very healthy, the broth smells like the sea. The drink Vesper, almost on par with Ramsey's in New York. We also had the Tarte Flambé,
Chicken Liver Pâté and Shrimp & Avocado, all very delicious. We then had the mini-trio for dessert to complete a nice girls night out dinner.

Service was superb, although they had to turn off the AC to accomedate another table of customers' request while we were sweating quite a bit. Granted they did turn it back on a few minutes after i asked them to when my friend and I were sweating like there no tomorrow. But then they turned it off again for the rest of our staying. Unfortunately, we can't take any more layers off while the other table could just put their jacket on? The hostess did bring me a pamphlet so I can fan off the heat myself. 🤣

Everything was outstanding! From the service to Chef Atkinson to the food itself. Everything was perfectly seasoned, the portion sizes were great, and the food was priced well for what it was. All in all, really great night out!

6 of us had a nice evening here. Everybody was happy with their beverages and food, the atmosphere was quite decent and provided a nice setting for us to enjoy each other's company. Pricing was acceptable. The owner stopped by and we had a fun couple of minutes chatting. I'm not stark raving about this place, maybe because the food was good but not transcendent, but we had fun and enjoyed our food and beverages, and will go back. It's a really nice neighborhood spot.

Simply darling little restaurant. Fantastic, fresh food and friendly service. I had the lamb chops, they were juicy and cooked perfectly to my liking. I'm definitly coming back soon! Quick walk or drive to the ferry if you need to get back to Seattle. Highly recommended!

Amazing local restaurant with French vibe and menu. Food was delicious and the chef and staff did a great job. Service was over the top. After dinner we were the last customers, enjoyed lovely conversations with the staff and wasn't rushed out to close. One of my new favorite restaurants.

Excellent spot. Spontaneous dinner decision but got a quick seat in the bar on a Saturday night. Food, service, and over all ambience were all we could have asked for. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to on our Bainbridge adventures. Id suggest you try it too.

I had the salmon dish. It was a small piece for the price. I had a French 75 drink, salmon and creme brulee for dessert. All were delicious. Just know this restaurant is a little pricey. I guess we can blame that on our current inflation issues.

A great local eatery if you are looking for a higher end experience. Their staff are so friendly and we love coming n special occasions. The meals are always delicious. The chef puts a French spin on everything and the menu is seasonal and local.

After almost 13 yrs living in Europe, I was about to give up on “especially good food!” Yep, we finally found it! Like a great restaurant, it took time to get our food (most Americans would rather have their food in 10 mins or less but hey, we aren’t known for our restaurant eloquent - we found it perfect). We had our drinks and our appetizers of oysters came out about 15-20 mins later - perfect! We got our second appetizers about 10 mins later, enjoyed the quaint atmosphere with small talk, got our perfectly cooked main dish of shoulder cut steak stripes, had an excellent espresso and topped it off with one of the best homemade cream brûlée I ever had (here or in Europe). The entire meal took 2 hrs and was splendid - like a meal should be! The only thing was a seating fee but we learned in the US, you pay for what you get! Service was top notch! Yes, a little on the expensive side but we’ll worth it (in America). Kiddos to the owner and his skills! We will be back! Thanks for a wonderful night! 10 stars!

Long time favorite. The seasonally changing menu draws on fresh regional ingredients offered with two takes. There are always the French Bistro standards and the daily specials are American comfort fare like your aunties never made. Strive to save room for dessert.

It's been nearly 3 years since we've been back to Marché due to the pandemic and it was SOOO nice to be back.

What's lovely about Marché is that there's nothing fussy or super unexpected on the menu, but everything is just perfectly well done. Chef utilizes whatever he gets from the local farms and finds creative way to get them on the menu.

The market salad with endive, arugula and rasberries was a beautiful way to start a meal. My wife got the chicken special that also had rasberries and it was perfectly cooked. The chicken was juicy and flavorful with a pan sauce with rasberries that made for a lovely dinner in the sun on the patio.

I had the king salmon with grilled leeks, rhubarb sauce and fingerling potatoes. Salmon with rhubarb is great! Who knew?? The salmon was cooked perfectly.

5 stars, not because it's mind-blowing, but because it's all super good and perfectly done.
