The Coven's Cottage

Coven's cottage is my go to for my metaphysical needs. Not only is their selection fantastic, the atmosphere is something straight out of a dream.

I adore their hanging herbs as well as loose. I highly recommend their candles as well.

They have a grand selection that I shop online for when I'm not in Salem.

Definitely stop in!

Wonderful store! This shop was my absolute favorite in Salem. It felt authentic and inviting. The merchandise was beautiful and the decor was impressive. Simon was very helpful. I absolutely recommend this store.

Came during the first weekend of October and it was well worth the wait in line. The gentleman at the door guiding us in line was so kind and informative. They only allow 6 people at a time if not a little more. Not just because of social distancing but to give you the best experience. Everyone inside is so kind and helpful. The prices of items In the shop are BEYOND reasonable. I honestly expected them to be higher but they’re so fair with everything. They have a little bit of everything. I could have dropped my whole bank account in there and have absolutely no regrets. I even went back the next day to show my non-witchy sister. Highly recommend!!!!

This was my favorite shop to visit while in Salem! They were so sweet and the atmosphere is amazing. This place does not price gouge like many of the other shops we went to and is truly a genuine metaphysical shop. I will definitely be back.

I had the privilege and pleasure of visiting The Coven's Cottage on Halloween in 2020. It was a beautifully rainy, witchy kind of day, and while we had to wait outside to limit the number of folks inside due to Corinavirus concerns, it was well worth the wait.

Once inside, I was greeted with the warmest, most inviting vibes, sites, and smells. Herbs hanging from the rafters, baskets laden with the most wonderful treasures -- runes, shells, bones, cleansing bundles -- everything you could want to make your heart and soul happy.

I fell in love with their specialty candles. For the last few years my cousin has ordered me the Mabon candle and had it shipped to me in Michigan. They smell amazing and are so beautifully decorated. The magic they imbue into them, mixed with my own, makes for some great manifestation!

If you are in Salem, DO NOT miss this shop. There are a lot of touristy places there with cheap products. The Coven's Cottage is the real thing. Authentic. Magical.

This was definitely my favorite shop in Salem and I wish I could have spent hours in here looking at every single item and book. The two men working while we went were incredibly friendly and helpful. The store is absolutely gorgeous. Of course prices are pretty high but that’s to be expected. I was overwhelmed by the amount of things I wanted to buy there was so much. We waited a short while outside and it seemed like every time we walked past there was a like - but this place is worth it.

The Coven's Cottage is the best store in Salem for a practitioner. The atmosphere inside was incredible with all of the decor and spiritual tools. I would come back in a heartbeat.
The cashier was very knowledgeable and was able to connect with all the customers in the store in a way that felt very personal and specific.
I felt very seen in my practice, which I don't generally feel back home in Seattle. I love all of the items I purchased, I feel drawn to them and I can't wait to purchase more from them in the future.

Stopped by this shop briefly today during a Salem day tour, and hands down, it has the best energy on Essex Street. Any intuitive / practitioner visiting Salem should make this a must stop.

Good shop for all kinds of people, whether they are Wiccans, witchcraft enthusiasts, or simply tourists. The owner is helpful and nice. Smells great inside.

Fun spiritual, authentic shop I love to visit. I go during the off season and find it to be the best! Always kind, and such great smelling candles. If you are looking for a cozy authentic shop, this is it in Salem.

I can't even begin to explain the amazing and welcoming energy you feel when walking into this store. I had walked into many already over the weekend I spent in Salem but this was the only one I felt connected with. The gentleman working very kindly greeted every guest with a welcome and an explanation of their no cell phone policy. As a Native American this policy was not at all bothersome because many native tribes believe that taking pictures takes a piece of your soul. I don't know if this is the reason for the policy but the store had many overlaps to traditional Native spirituality with the beautiful smudge sticks and horns. I ended up purchasing 3 books that I am looking forward to reading as well as a beautiful deer antler ring for my husband. As soon as we saw the ring we both felt very drawn to it and knew it was the right purchase. The store is very small so I can only imagine how tight it would feel during October because we went very soon after they opened and it was already quite busy. Usually that amount of people in a small space would make me very anxious but as I said previously the energy in the store was so calming I never felt that once. The person working was moving around the store and offering his insight to anyone who needed it, shopping baskets to those who hadn't grabbed one. There is no question we will be returning to this store in the near future.

Just a great shop. Staff was so helpful. Great totems and books. A must visit in Salem.

I loved everything I ordered from this shop! I live in Michigan and everything arrived to me quickly, all packaged and wrapped beautifully. I will definitely be ordering from them again. We visited the shop a few years ago while staying in Salem and hope to come back soon. I highly recommend this shop. Blessed be. 💚

An honest and genuine requirement when visiting the Coven's Cottage. While I lament such obedience means no pictures to share I will attempt with words.

The air is heady with the sweet scents of dried flowers, herbs, and spices. Immediately upon the right of entry you will see the genuine bones, feathers, and furs to adorn your altar. To the left hangs a vibrant display of dried flowers, baskets of spices and herbs, and hanging charms. Stepping beyond the entryway the soaps, teas, and tiaras complete the right side wall. The central shelving of the cottage houses the various Celtic, Astaru, and Cottage Witchery titles available. The counter at the back of the space holds display pieces ready for the right individual to find and claim. Finally, the far left wall and front windows are decorated with the assortment of tools, runes, decor, and honorifics to the gods.

Time feels relaxed in the Cottage making a short visit feel refreshing and like a leisure stroll in a garden. The space though logically small feels encompassing and sheltered. The wards and blessings upon the Coven's Cottage are layered to perfection allowing the communion of spirits to guide the visiting guests.

I wish I could have done greater justice to the Coven's Cottage. If you are on the path you are well benefitted in attending the Cottage when you can. Genuine and untainted resources are surprisingly in short supply in Salem. I plan to return any time my altar is in need.

I loved the variety of herbs and crystals they had. Thats not just the best part though. The staff will not only help you find what you need, they will also give you recommendations and help explain the items to the best of their knowledge. They are very kind and considerate. They made me feel very welcome!

First time visiting and absolutely loved this store. The dried flowers hanging everywhere add such a magical touch to the store. It’s such a great atmosphere ✨ got a bunch of crystals!

Stopped in today with my family and truly had a great experience. The energy in the store is kind and welcoming. Everything has details so it’s not hard to shop. My kids had a memorable experience and that was important to me. 10/10 will be back every time I visit Salem 🌙

What a truly unique and magical store! I had the pleasure of visiting this summer and purchased a few items. Staff were busy but attentive and kind. I ordered some Yule gifts which just arrived (quick!) to AR. Packaged carefully and I'm so excited to gift them! CC is by far my favorite witchy shop in the world.
