Super fun place for a drink and more. Friendly staff quickly got us a table on a day with 5 cruise ships in town. Enjoyed listening to the live music. Tonnes of atmosphere and good vibes.

This place is Alaska, it reflects the wild, unknown, and the expanse that makes up this massive state, this bar is a museum that showcases Alaskan culture. Look around, grab some food, order a drink. And if you're feeling really brave "Ring the Bell", bring your phone and your Visa... It's priceless 😁

Wow! Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, awesome entertainment, and delicious food. Two of us shared taco chips with queso and the Avalanche burger. Loved them, along with two different very tasty Alaskan beers each. Will definitely go back when we are in town. Warning: Snow....flakes stay away. You couldn't handle it.

It can get packed on the weekends and I'm sure it'll get packed when the cruise season kicks into high gear for tourist searching for the infamous "Duckfart" Shot.
It is strong but not bitter luckily haha.
Bar tenders and musicians are friendly. And all the wall are eithers marked by travelers, covered in cool signs and taxidermy.
The clams are delicious and I heard a lady order 2 chicken plates to go so you know it's good food 😋
Take a sharpie with you, as I did and you should see my favorite quote on the ladies bathroom door

The Red Dog Saloon is awesome! There was sawdust on the floor--YAAAY!!! Waitresses were dressed in attire from the saloons of the Old West, but with modesty. There was a comedic older guy playing the piano and cracking jokes-hilarious dude! I recommend the Duck Fart shot-YUMMMY! The brisket sandwich was amazing and caused me to buy their BBQ sauce. The next time I go to Alaska, I will go there again. WOW!!

A party of four and we each enjoyed our meals and the duck fart shooters. The eclectic atmosphere will keep you mesmerized and guessing at everything hanging from the walls and ceiling. I loved it, definitely pop in any time I visit from Seattle.

We didn’t spend a lot of time here because our excursion ran late. Our friend is really into Scottie or Scottish dogs. We visited the merchandise store adjoining to the restaurant. The store itself looked well organized and had that old rustic cowboy theme to it. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. We ventured into the restaurant briefly, and it to had old saloon feel. Staff were dressed as bar maidens from the old west. But was pretty smoky in there along with saw dust scattered on the floor throughout.

This place is an Juneau must see. Beautifully preserved. Love the old west atmosphere and the staff are amazing. You must try a 'Ducks Fart' it doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend.

The famous Red Dog Saloon is a throw-back restaurant and bar taking you to the late 1800's, complete with sawdust-covered floors, old-time piano player, wooden furniture and chandeliers.

The restaurant features the pistol owned by Wyatt Earp, who accidently left it in the building after checking it in at the door. This is proudly displayed on the wall.

This place can get rather crowded during peak meal-times, especially when the cruise ships come in, so there may be a wait to get a table.

The food was good, but service may be slow during peak times.

You have to drink a few Duck Farts. The fish and chips are fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is super fun, laid back, and casual. The bar maids are the best! The Great Bandini added some good fun to the overall setting.

Stopped in and ate and had a couple beers while in Juneau near the water. Great atmosphere and I really liked the BBQ. Reasonable prices as well, recommend.

Recommended by a tour guide. Decided to stop for a couple of beers and the bar is like a themed Western saloon bar. Great atmosphere, old school live country and no mandatory tipping percentages but the servers deserved it as they appear to really enjoy working there. Clam chowder was excellent as was the Irish ale.

We were in Juneau port for the day and wanted to visit this famous saloon before we had to go back to our ship. It was very busy and luckily we found a table for 7 upstairs. We were at the ledge where we can see the stage and the performer. The ambiance was lively. Our server was nice but super busy and tired. We ordered appetizers and drinks. I had the duck fart which was good but having all we can drink in the ship, it wasn’t a “wow”. Our food was good. It is touristy but worth the experience.

Red Dog Saloon is located in the heart of Juneau and yes everyone talks about it, so if you are coming in and not wanting to wait long do some sightseeing or get there early. 10-1030am or after 2pm (time we arrived), we walked right in and got a table, it wasn’t where I wanted, located upstairs, it was small but sufficient for the 4 of us. Got the salmon cakes, sister-in-law ordered the fish and chips. First impression was, the food looked ok, the service great and the music awesome. I was quite surprised when I realized how delicious the salmon cakes were, they had great flavor and although the fish was panko crusted it tasted so fresh! I would recommend them if you are in the area also, check out their gift store!

Go here. If you are visiting Juno and want some local atmosphere, don't miss this. The food is good, the setting is awesome and the characters working here are good fun. Try the Duck Farts. And consider the selection of local meats and fish that are not available in the lower 48. The volume on the piano was a bit too loud when we were there, made it very difficult to talk to others at our table.

Words cannot express how incredible the atmosphere was at Red Dog Saloon. An older gentleman playing sailor jigs on a keyboard, all of the waitresses walking around singing, the sawdust on the floor, the decor... It all amounted to something truly marvelous.

The salmon burger was amazing. Salmon was flavorful and potato salad was delicious. The Red Dog Red beer was also a treat.

Looking for a great place to hear some live tunes, kick sawdust, and chow down on a delicious burger while pounding down the official state drink (Duck Fart), then look no further. Not only did they layer the Duck Fart like it's suppose to be, but the bartender was super friendly and took our order in no time. He gave us a quick history lesson on the state drink and helped my friends and I pin our dollar bill on the wall with all the others before us. We had a blast and I would defiantly make this my weekend get away if I didn't live across the country. Overall, great atmosphere and genuine people.

You Must Go!
Even with a queue make sure you get inside! It’s just so fun and the locals makes it so enjoyable!
The decor is enough just to go inside and the beer is amazing!
Old style saloon bar! If you want to visit something you see in the movies this is the place!
