What a FANTASTIC outdoor bar!

We were on an RC cruise and had a couple of hours before having to get back on the Ovation, and the sight of this unique venue drew us in.

Had some great drinks (and shots!) served by a wonderful bartender - I don't remember her name, but in telling us about her story, she grew up in Juneau, traveled around the country (I do remember her mentioning being in Philadelphia), and then found herself back in Juneau and at the Griz.

Also met some great people at the bar - a family from Maryland who was also on the cruise and a couple from Seattle on vacation - chance meetings that added a memorable flavor to the overall experience of the Griz and Juneau.

Stopping here was definitely a superb way of topping off our day and our experience in Juneau!

This is a great open-air bar where you can enjoy a cold beer in a relaxed atmosphere. They do not serve meals or snacks separately, but you can purchase food from the food truck located right next to it. The bartender is friendly and welcoming.

I think is the coziest place in Juneau. The tables with fire makes all the difference specially when is end of summer in Alaska. The drinks are very good, fair selection of cocktails and beers and just beside there is a the best taco place in Alaska with vegetarian options.

Did not have food but the service and atmosphere was amazing. Great and friendly bartender.

Great local liquor served by friendly faces. Good times. The taco truck next door has the best nachos - open @ 11am. So good. Great view of the mountains too.

If I owned a bar, Griz Bar would be it! What an awesome place. View? Spectacular. Open Fire Pits to enjoy the Alaskan Arctic Chill? Spot On. Fantastic Beers On Tap? Check. But, for my money– I am all about two things: Cocktails and Service. Cocktails? Mastered. I enjoyed a bourbon beverage made from Boatwright Bourbon–which is made by hand, right here in southeast Alaska. (Plus, the packaging is super cool!). The entire experience was a love letter from Alaska. The bartender, Dida, was professional, knowledgeable and made me feel at home. I loved it so much that I brought my boyfriend back later in the week–to a repeat of the same stellar service and fantastic hot toddy–thank you Justin!

Additionally, the taco truck next door ROCKS!

Looking forward to visiting this open air bar, when the snow has gone and the sun has come!

I feel like every time I come back to Juneau, I find a new place I wish the city had when I was still here. This trip’s discovery was Griz Bar, which — when combined with a beautiful day — served as one of the highlights of the trip.

The Griz Bar is the place to be! Honestly, the best outdoor bar in Alaska. Bonnie is the sweetest bartender and always has a smile on her face. The rest of the staff are also very accommodating and super friendly. The bar often has live bands which is an added bonus to the amazing views!

Fantastic outside experience. All Alaska - Beers to Liquor. A must!!

We had about an hour to kill before getting back on our boat and so we chose to hangout here. Our bartender, Sydney, was great and so were the drinks. Had a couple French 75s made with local gin and they did not disappoint! It was great to talk with Sydney for a bit and hear about what brought her here as well. Highly recommend Griz bar!

We first discovered Griz Bar 2 years ago while visiting family. We make a point of coming by when we're in Juneau. Really busy on a sunny day, but nice on a southeast weather day - enjoying the fire pit. Great staff, great cocktails!

Didn’t have time to order food but Guy Fieri said to grab a bloody mary here and it we wouldn’t be disappointed. As always, he was right! Phenomenal! Excellent flavor and perfect balance of spice!

Great place to grab drinks. Great Mexican food next store you can order. We stopped here after our helicopter tour. Nice to have the little fire pits there to warm up!

Cozy, covered outdoor bar with seating around open fire pits, serving wine, local beer and spirits. Great vibe and nice place to relax with a hot toddy!

Great spot to grab a beer or cocktail. The taco truck is right next door. It is literally across the street from the cruise terminal. The bartenders are super friendly and helpful.

We stopped by here and have never laughed so hard or had such an amazing time with a bartender. This will be on our list every visit to Juneau!

It is 100% outside, dress appropriately. Several fire pits and heaters small covered area when it's not so nice out. They sell almost exclusively Alaska brands from all over the state. Bartenders have always been quick and helpful. Overall good vibe a place I really enjoy having a couple drinks.

Best place to have a drink in town, friendly staff and great views. The opened during the pandemic and provided a place for locals to congregate outdoors! Now, with the addition of a taco truck (best tacos in town??), they are even better! Thanks Griz Bar!

Great little place to have a drink and just get a great vibe from the city. Our bartender looked like Ferris Bueller and was very friendly. Good times all around.
