Juneau Food Tours

I booked a 4 hour private jeep tour for my friend and I.

Midgi picked us up this morning at our rental and toured us around to some great, off the beaten path spots.

We saw beautiful nature and learned about the area and history and stopped at a local brewery for lunch.

We saw a bear pretty immediately and got some great photos.

I'd highly recommend if you're looking for something fun to do in the area.

Had an awesome time being shown around Juneau by Lorinda. She was incredibly knowledgeable obviously passionate about curating a lovely experience for us. All of the food was amazing and memorable. I was pleasantly surprised by how many stops there were - we definitely would not have been able to reach such a wide variety on our own. My favorites were the crab bisque and the fish tacos. Tour was suitable for kosher folks, with only 1 stop that was shellfish. Really feel like we got a taste of the best that Juneau has to offer and will be revisiting several of the stops next time we are in town! I highly recommend.

This is an awesome tour! The food was delicious and hyper local. The seafood options especially were incredible along with the drinks. I loved having a local guide who infused the tour with her own experiences and taught us so much about Juneau while we were eating amazing food. Highly recommend this for anyone who loves food or authentic local experiences while traveling.

Had a wonderful tour. We always enjoy doing food tours as we learn not just about the local food but also the local culture. This tour exceeded our expectations. The food was great and he portions are exactly the size one would expect when on a food tour. Jane, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable about the culture and history of Juneau and this added so much to our tour. We ended up in a tour with just one other couple, one of which required a wheelchair due to an injury, and this requirement was easily accommodated. Would highly recommend!

We had an exceptional experience getting to know Juneau and the local food fare. A perfect way to spend our first day in J. Heather shared her wealth of knowledge of the area (bonus) and introduced us to many yummy delights which were many.

Our very first cruise and cruise experience was the Juneau Food Walking Tour. This was booked through our cruise ship and a great wait to start our trip! Our tour guide Lydia had a wealth of local history which I really appreciated. We had some tasty treats and the bonus of also sight seeing around Juneau and the stories were great! After the tour, we went back and ate more at one of the stops from our tour.

My husband and I had an amazing time tasting the best of Juneau! Our tour guide was very well-informed and was glowing with love for this amazing city. Highly recommend taking this tour if you love food, want to get the best recommendations on Juneau activities, and learn more about the city.

My aunt and I took a took a walking tour scheduled via our cruise line. Heather was an awesome, enthusiastic guide and we had a great time! The tour featured a great mix of local businesses and a great variety of foods/drinks to try. A terrific time was had by all!!

Juneau Food Tours offered a distinctive touch when providing a great sampling of food to be experienced in their hometown. Our guide was informative about the great variety of food tasted but also a native of Juneau able to share local culture and answer inquiries about the area. This was a great way to start our stay in Juneau. The tour provided an informative introduction to the history of the city, a tour of the charming downtown area, and visits to some truly fantastic local eateries and bars, from classic fish and chips to Korean-Mexican fusion. Our tour guide Joel was a delight. I really felt like I knew the city after just a few hours (and some wonderful food).

We recently took the Suds and Strolls tour with Lorinda. This was the perfect tour to kick off our visit to Juneau. Lorinda took us on a walking tour of downtown Juneau. We appreciated all the history Lorinda shared as well as useful current info on the area. The tour ended at the Alaska Hotel where we sampled a flight of beers from the Alaska Brewery. This tour is the perfect amount of time (~90 min) and was so helpful in planning the rest of our visit to Juneau.

We had a great experience with Juneau Food Tours during our June 2021 visit! It's a great way to spend a couple hours and you learn a lot about Juneau and the restaurant scene. You definitely will want to return to some of the restaurants to try out additional dishes on your own. (We ended up eating lunch at the McGivney's out near Mendenhall Glacier since we had visited the downtown location during our tour and knew we liked it!) We were luck enough to have Midgi the owner as our guide and it was great learning all about her business beginnings and her passion for the food scene and living in Juneau. This is a great, unique activity in Juneau.

Just finished our food tour with Dennis, and had a great time. Juneau is such a great food town, and the Juneau Food Tours group knows the best places to go. Plus you get some of the history, and truly epic "dad" jokes along the way. A truly good time.

This is MUST. If you are stopping in Juneau put this tour at the top of your agenda. Amazing food, for an reasonable price. We stopped at many local locations to get samples of their top selling meals. Along the way the guide gave information about Juneau. We highly recommend this tour! Bring good shoes and layer up. Not too much walking but the weather is very unpredictable and you do spend some time outside!
