Timberline Atop Mount Roberts

This was an AMAZING experience!

This was part of a shore excursion from a cruise.

The tram ride up 1,800 feet from the shore was smooth, and the view was exhilarating

If you have a wheelchair or other wheel mobility assistance device, let the tram personnel know you need assistance, and they will get you sorted out and taken care of.

My pictures are of the nature hike on the established trails outside the lodge at the top.

Please read and follow the signs. Don't make your own path or throw your trash on the ground. Remember: if you brought it on the hike, you bring it back from the hike. DONT LITER

If you do hike the trails, be mindful of the fact that it is on a mountain. It is in a wet and cold environment. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear

AND HAVE FUN!

The tram is really worth the price. The top of the mountain is amazing and the views are spectacular. Food is great and gift shop is very reasonable in price.

This is a fun experience destination, you either take the tram up the mountain or you hike. We ordered the Tatertot Nachos. They were crispy and tasty, a meal for 2, a hearty snack for 4. There is a nice self guided trail at the top and viewing platforms that overlook Juneau.

What breathtaking ride! Highly recommend it and bring you camera and hiking boot the trail on top is awesome too!

Great views from the tram! Quick ride up to the top with a gift shop. We didn't have much time left before heading back to the ship so we rode it up, quickly checked out the gift shop and rode the tram back down. A must do and great experience to see the little town of Juneau!

We went to the bar here and enjoyed local craft beers and tater tots. Seth was amazing, and Angela was super sweet. They told us about the drinks, the area, and had helpful recommendations. I'd give the service 6 stars if I could.

The most amazing views from up top! The crab nachos were very well topped and tasted awesome. Beer and the view was my happy place!

This is one spot if you travel here to stop and see. A local man named "Raven" was extremely helpful in his area of expertise and the surrounding areas. He was very friendly and the most down to earth person i had met there. Thank you, Raven.

Very nice gift shop ,bar ,and restaurant. Staff very friendly. But the tram is the star of the experience . $25 per person and you get as many trips as you want in a day. It's 1800 ft from street to top of mt.
This is a must do it is located directly in front of the cruise ship docks.the views from.the tram are spectacular. Even had a couple of bald eagles sitting in the trees watching us come down .

We probably wouldn't have even thought about this place, but a friend got us tickets. So we went and this place was amazing! The tram ride to the top was breath taking, and once on top, the views were amazing. We walked around then visited the restaurant for a bite to eat and a beer and they also have a nice gift shop and it is all reasonably priced!

This tram ride to the top of Mount Roberts was an awesome way to see the beautiful scenery in every direction.

A must-see place to visit when in Juneau, Alaska. Take the Tram, shop at the stores, eat the local food, and learn about the local native tribes and all they have endured and overcome. Buy souvenirs to help the local population continue to provide such great and informative videos. Then go out back and take a hike up the mountain for the most spectacular views you can imagine. A definite bucket list item. I can't wait to make plans to visit again.

If your taking a royal carribean cruise to this destination it was 15 dollers cheaper per person for on shore tickets vs booking them on the ship. All excursions were ALOT cheaper on land. Great place If you like to explore. There are trails at the top of the tram that take you up the mountain. You can also skip the tram and hike up the mountain (2.5hr hard hike). Great picture taking places. A must if you ever visit this area. Bring water and a good pair of shoes!..

The view is amazing and food isn't too expensive for the venue. It was a bit slow in getting the food, but the view is amazing.

Definitely an enjoyable visit. Several great views of the mountains and relaxed environment.

Rode the tram up to Mount Roberts and enjoy the view of the town below. Saw a few eagles flying. Visited the gift shops. There is a walking trail and a couple of restaurants at the top.

Staff was really friendly, food was good but pricey like everything in AK. We went on the 2nd to last day and pretty late so they were out of a lot of things. Servings were large. Drinks were good.

Great ride in aerial tram. Enjoyed free movie at top. Excellent latte and very friendly staff.

Spectacular views. Excellent fried bread halibut tacos. Crab nachos half order was huge. We were unable to finish our order. You can sit in the restuarant to look down at the cruise ships in Juneau & watch the tram or eat on the deck for beautiful mountain views. We were visited by a Stellar Jay on the deck.
