Kari Cretella Nickou, RN

I have been seeing Kari for over a decade, and I would strongly recommend her as a provider. Other providers I have seen seem more focused on getting the appointment over with as quickly as possible (often in under five minutes) to maximize the number of patients seen (and thus profits), but Kari takes the time to talk until we've discussed my experiences. When I see Kari, I don't feel like an input on an assembly line. I feel like a person.

Kari has been my therapist and prescriber for over 10 years. She is a warm, genuinely caring, honest and supportive person. Very easy to talk to. She has always accommodated me, my schedule and my needs throughout the years along with many of life’s changes. I am very grateful to have found her many years ago.

Kari has been a great resource for me during times of stress in my life. We’ve been working together for 6 years now, and she continually helps me to keep myself aware of how to handle my stressors. My plan is to continue working with her, and would highly recommend her to anyone experiencing emotional issues in their life, and could benefit from a true professional.

Kari is the best therapist I have ever had, bar none. I have been in her care for about 12 years for anxiety and insomnia. She has helped me via both medication and talk therapy. Her manner is warm, kind, nonjudgmental, and supportive. I recommend her highly and without reservation!

Kari is an advance practice, clinical nurse specialist in psychiatry. Professional, empathetic and compassionate. I’ve been seeing her, off and on for at least 20 years. She is my therapist and prescriber for anxiety, depression disorder as well as attention deficit disorder. She has counseled me through, and out of a toxic marriage. She has supported me and given me the tools to cope effectively with painful struggles in my life. Her gentle guidance, encouragement and subtle suggestions have helped to illuminate my need for self care/love. Most recently she has helped me reach nearly 9 months of sobriety. Her calm, non-judgemental counseling helped me to recognize my alcoholism such that when I finally got to AA, I was prepared and not scared. I will forever be grateful that I found Kari Nickou.

Ms Nickou, an advanced practice psychiatric nurse clinician, has been so helpful to me for the past 15 years. Kari has helped me with counseling, medication, reflection, referral & solid advice. She has also helped other friends & family, as i recommend her without reservation. Also she schedules efficiently, responds promptly to calls, and maintains a very professional practice!

I have been seeing Kari Nickou for over 20 years. She has been my medication prescriber and therapist. She has always been very supportive of my mental health needs and offers keen insight in managing behavior health concerns. She is very dependable and attentive. She really cares about your well being. I have the outmost confidence and respect in her judgement. She always asks pertinent questions to gain understanding of your needs and gives outmost support.

I wish to express my deep appreciation for the advice & guidance Kari has provided over the years. She has helped me through some tough times. She has a knack for helping you see situations in a different light and how your actions may be perceived by others. She truly cares.

Kari was my prescriber for close to two years. My insurance changed which is why she is no longer my prescriber. Kari is very kind, informative, and will work with you on finding the right treatment. Kari asked me questions and made an effort to get to know me which overall helped with my care I believe.

I cannot speak more negatively of this so-called healthcare provider. She is a nurse practitioner characterized as a "prescriber." I went to her because I am new to the area and need a medication refill. She didn't like the dose I was on but instead of stopping the conversation, proceeded to ask me questions. Nothing wrong with dosage. She is incredibly sloppy. Unable to read, unable to retain repeated information on several occasions. Moreover, she is extremely far from up to date on drugs and side effects, not to mention drug interactions. I do not recommend this person to anyone who values their health. I have reported her for fraud and malpractice to insurance. I add that I am more than qualified to call a practitioner a 'quack' when I see one. CEO of three biomedical companies, a scientist and a longstanding record of working with Nobel Laureates and prominent physicians. This woman is daft. And, she took my money!
