Floridian here! Visited for the second year in a row and LOVED IT AGAIN! Everything is consistent, the food portions are GINORMOUS! Had leftovers and they reheat perfectly! Incredible food. Always. Thanks for your dedication.

The best fried clam bellies in New England. Atmosphere was crowded and loud but who cares when the food is through the roof. We're talking HUGE clam bellies, battered light and sooo tender!!

I had the Native clam platter and it was amazing! The clams were so full of flavor and the coleslaw was rich and creamy. The clam chowder thick and chunky with clams and had incredible flavor.

We absolutely love the Clam Box for fried clams. The batter is light and always fried perfectly. The sweetest and best clam spot around!

We were on our way the see Castle Hill and decided to stop in for lunch. Luckily we learned not to order too much cause they have very healthy portions. The staff was friendly, fun, and energetic, we decided to split the Fisherman’s Platter for two. Honestly it could have fed up to four people. Everything tasted fresh , in fact it was too hot to eat right away, it Came with Fried Clams,Shrimp,Scallops,Cod, Cole Slaw and Onion Rings… We will definitely stop by again if we are back in the area….

The line was worth it for the delicious seafood. Two of us shared the big platter that included clams, shrimp, oysters and fist (along with fries and onion rings). It was more than we could eat. The clams and scallops were a highlight, but everything was good. One in our group had clam chowder, which was amazingly creamy and delicious. I also impulse-ordered a clam cake and clam fritter when I saw it at the register. Both were very good and had a delicious clam taste.

I hadn't seen for several years but the weather was just right for a stop at this classic New England seafood shack. We had the fried clam and scallop plate paired up with onion rings and French fries. A short wait after ordering because they clean and filter the oil at 2:30 each day guaranteeing good tasting fried food. The seafood was perfectly cooked, fresh and hot. Whole belly clams and plump scallops with homemade tartar sauce.

Typical NE counter service. The Clams are tasty and I am not a fried clam eater. The batter really is all they say it is. I was not a big fan of the batter on the onion rings though.

Old school fried clam purveyor. Simply fantastic! Not inexpensive, but worth it. The oil gets changed daily and it tastes like it. Slaw is solid as well.

I went here on a Sunday. The line was fairly sizable. It went out and into the middle of the parking lot. I wish there was a shade or tent outside because the sunlight can be brutal. However, it was worth the wait. I ordered the fried clams and they were spot on. The tartar sauce is also fresh and above the rest. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for fried seafood.

I've had a lot of fried seafood, and most of the time the seafood flavour is not what shines, whether it be due to less fresh seafood, or only small quantities being fried.

However, I was not expecting the fried food here to still keep that distinct seafood taste. Scallops are often served overcooked and become chewy, but here they melt in your mouth under its crispy exterior. The fried haddock which can also be hit or miss, was perfectly cooked to be soft and tender. The other reviews say enough about their full belly clams that I don't need to add much more.

After eating at a few local seafood spots which I found hit or miss, I can say this was well worth the journey to try, and has made me rethink my views on fried seafood.

Just what I would expect from a classic clam shack. Reminded me of the old days of "all you could eat fried clams" with my father at Howard Johnsons.

The portions are more than generous. We shared one clam plate with the three of us as a mid day meal. The place was very clean. The outside dining tent was great.

Charming and delicious place known for their fried clams. Inside is small but there's some seating and additional covered seating outside as well. My friend had the strip clams and onion rings which were covered perfectly with batter and fried nicely. I had the lobster roll which normally comes cold but they accommodated my request for a warm version with butter only. The clams and lobster were both sweet and delicious. Would recommend this place, good for all ages!

An incredible local seafood spot! A must try. I like Clam Box better than some other local competitors. Fresh always, and they change their oil daily! Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, but I prefer outdoor seating at the picnic tables under the canopies. Not cheap but reasonable price point. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great (mostly fried) seafood spot.

I’ve been coming here for years and years and years. I look forward to it whenever I travel to the area, and it never, ever disappoints. As I’m eating, I wish I could stay hungry so I can eat more. The prices have gone way up due to food costs, and I still couldn’t give them my money fast enough. The clam chowder is among the best you’ll ever have. The fried clams are from another world they are so good.

The restaurant itself lacks any pretentiousness, and I just wish I had a place like this close to where I lived. I’d get my mail there I’d be there so often.

I absolutely love this place. Unfortunately, I live in Boston so it's difficult for me to get up this way so typically roll to the one in Quincy.

When time permits, this is my preferred location. It does get relatively busy but it's most certainly worth the wait.

The seafood is super fresh and the clams are massive!

Pictured below is my typical order. Fried clam belly's and fried scallops with onion rings and fries. I love the batter they use. I also prefer their style of french fries because they don't use the cheap coated ones. The onion rings are super light.

Most people will tell you Woodman's is the best but this is just as good!

Thank you Clam Box!!!
