Canoeing with Molly and Devyn to Mendenhall Glacier was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we set off, their enthusiasm and expertise made us feel confident and excited for the adventure ahead. The scenery was breathtaking, with towering ice formations and the serene expanse of the water creating a picturesque backdrop.

Molly and Devyn were exceptional guides. They provided fascinating insights into the glacier's history and the surrounding ecosystem, making the journey both educational and entertaining. Their friendly and engaging personalities made the trip even more enjoyable, and they ensured that everyone in the group felt included and well taken care of.

The highlight, of course, was getting up close to the glacier. The sheer size and beauty of it were awe-inspiring, and having the opportunity to experience it so intimately from the canoe was truly special. Molly and Devyn’s careful planning and attention to safety allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment without any worries.

Overall, canoeing to Mendenhall Glacier with Molly and Devyn was a perfect blend of adventure, natural beauty, and excellent company. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to explore the stunning Alaskan wilderness in a unique and memorable way!

We loved this tour! It was amazing to get so close to the beautiful glacier. Our guides Devyn and Ryley were both very knowledgable, customer focused and friendly. The canoeing and hiking was great for some light exercise, very safe and not overly difficult.

Our shore excursion in Alaska, where we explored the breathtaking glaciers by canoe, was an absolute thrill from start to finish!

The adventure began as soon as we met our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Sophie, who introduced us to the stunning Alaskan landscape. We were immediately captivated by the pristine, icy beauty surrounding us. As we geared up, excitement buzzed in the air, especially among our group, which included Sophie, Ryley, Molly, and myself.

Launching our canoes into the water, we were greeted by a panorama of towering glaciers and snow-capped peaks. Paddling through the serene waters was both exhilarating and peaceful. The sense of being so close to such immense natural wonders was humbling and awe-inspiring.

One of the highlights was when we paused to take in the sheer magnitude of the glaciers. It was a moment of raw power and natural beauty that left us speechless. Our guide shared fascinating insights about the glaciers, the wildlife, and the delicate ecosystem, making the experience not just fun but also deeply educational. We learned about the history of the area, the impact of climate change on these magnificent ice formations, and the importance of preserving such incredible natural treasures.

Again, I sincerely want to thank Sophie, Ryley & Molly for making this a memorable trip!!

Had the best time with Jordan and Sophie on the most gorgeous day ever in Juneau. We laughed, we told stories, we raced, it was just a fun day. Jordan taught us bear safety so that he can go home safe to his mama Tammy. We saw wildlife. Skip the other tours, this was the best way to see the glacier while supporting local businesses.

My husband and I did the Mendenhall Glacier canoe tour on Sept 11th and it was AWESOME. This was the highlight of my cruise experience to Alaska! Worth every penny! To get up close to the glacier was amazing. Canoeing across the lake and seeing a seal, porcupine, bald eagles, waterfalls and turning the bend to see the glacier. Our guides David and Miller were great, so much fun!! People on our cruise ship were jealous of my photos and sad they didn't know about this excursion.

This trip was excellent from the moment. We were greeted by the Liquid Alaska employees, Alec and Miller. They did everything well. The way they treated all the gas was great. They really have an understanding of the flora and fauna of the area. The two of them worked well together. Liquid Alaska has the best gear compared to the other companies. I highly recommend taking this tour if you want to see the glacier. The walk close to the glacier is so much fun. Thank you to Alec and Miller for a great day.

HIGHLY recommend Liquid if you're looking to get out and experience what Alaska is all about. Biko & Mike were professional, informative and FUN. They both genuinely enjoyed their "jobs" so it made our 5 mile canoe trek and hike near Mendenhall Glacier that much more awesome. Great journey, awesome crew, unbelievable sights!!!

One of the highlights of our Alaska tour was the canoe paddle to Mendenhall Glacier and
terrain walk with Ben and Miller. An absolutely amazing experience made even better by our thoughtful, knowledgeable guides.
After having our booked tour with another company cancelled, it was wonderful to find a better tour and wonderful guides.
It’s worth seeking out Liquid Alaska for a fantastic experience. Professional, with all the gear needed provided.
Ben’s commentary on the bus was also a highlight.

Our guides, Meara and Miller, gave us the trip of a lifetime to the Mendenhall Glacier via canoe and then even closer with a wonderful hike. They were qualified guides, respectful of their surroundings. Meara was a wealth of knowledge about Juneau history, wildlife, and native plants, peppered with some lighthearted commentary that kept us all entertained. Miller pointed out some interesting rock formations and gems during the hike. We found a large iceberg floating by and all had a chance to touch it, experiencing the majesty of these awe-inspiring formations. A piece of the glacier had just broken off revealing beautiful blue hues you can’t find anywhere else in nature. I highly recommend Liquid Alaska to tour the Mendenhall Glacier-its an experience you’ll never forget!

My husband and I are really happy we did this tour. Mehra and Ben were so nice and informative and kept everyone safe. This tour is the ONLY way you can now see the Mendenhall glacier without taking a helicopter ride. We are both 29 and physically active and we both thought the canoe ride was more strenuous than we anticipated- mostly because even though it was the most beautiful day/weather there is a ton of wind that comes off the glacier so paddling gets harder the closer you get to it. Also we had several children on our tour who didn’t paddle very much or effectively. They should probably implement an age restriction. Our canoe held 16 people including the guides so it takes a lot of coordination to make progress. When we got to the land near the glacier we were disappointed that we weren’t able to actually stand on or touch the glacier because it has now receded too far away to access. Reviews and videos we had looked at from even just last season (2022) were able to walk on the glacier. This was not the tours fault and like I said, it is still the best views you can get of the glacier without taking a helicopter. We also got to see the glacier calve! Of note, the tour provides rain gear (light jacket and pants) to go over your normal attire, rain boots, life jacket, helmet, and a walking stick!

Justin and Devyn were two of the best tour guides I’ve had. This is my third time back to Mendenhall with Liquid Alaska! They are both so knowledgeable and did a perfect job at keeping us safe and comfortable. After a 5 mile (!) canoe trip and a nice walk all around the base of the glacier, they were right there with hot drinks and positive attitudes. We enjoyed every moment and cannot wait for our next trip back!

If you do ONE excursion in Juneau, this is it! We stayed overnight to do this excursion and Wow! am I glad I did! Bryce and Paul, our guides were awesome hosts and while paddling the canoe was a bit tiring, it's walking a mile over and around and all over the Mendenhall glacier that was beyond cool!!! To get off shore and actually walk all over the glacier, and even drink glacier water was so amazing! A once in a lifetime event. Don't miss it. P.S. pro tip: bring a flask of vodka for the apple cider @ end of the trip; you'll thank me later!

This excursion was amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who is able to go. Alec & Boots were fantastic guides, each had their area of expertise and we learned so much about the glacier as well as the plants and wildlife in the area. Great guys, hard workers and very patient. Overall, a 5-star experience!
