Playground is a little old but it's a beautiful park. Very clean. Lots of trails! Cute little dog park in the back!

Great Mountain Biking for Cross Country with a bit of elevation. Dirt can get really dry and sandy late in the summer.

Dog park is awesome in the summer to keep the dogs out of the heat.

Beautiful place. Secluded small park with a wicked lake. Whether you visit it the summer or fall the photos are going to be astonished.

Did a practice hike here as part of prep for an AT section hike we're doing this summer. Trails are well maintained with not a ton of elevation change, not too strenuous. Compact but beautiful park.

Went for the fishing. Heard they stocked the lakes with 700 catfish. Couldn't get a bite though. Lake is super deep. Nice. Clean! Snatch out a few small trout with the ol rooster tail! I'll be back for sure and hopefully the cats are acclimated and biting next time!

Nice little oasis in Louisville. Very scenic with trails throughout. Little to no trash. Tried catching bass with an arsenal of lures, no luck but I'll withhold judgment until a few more visits. Would be a great place to take children. Nice and quiet with a little playground near but not too close to the lake.

Great little spot to unwind. Get close to nature while still close to everything else. Clean. Quiet. Open bathrooms are a plus also if you have little ones. They also have a fishable pond, freshly stocked, and a nice playground.

Love loved it there we had a wedding there and it turned out wonderful. It was clean other people there didn't bother you or interfere it's even got a big lake. Very clean friendly environment and you can let your kids play at the play ground and don't have to worry about them finding needles.

My go to spot to catch bluegill and small bass. My daughter can fish and have a great time. It's clean and has plenty of fishing areas around the pond for chairs and equipment.

Great park with awesome mountain bike trails! Lots of flowy trails with jumps, drops, and some technical areas as well. A little bit of everything here, Including fishing in the pond.

We just came from fishing. We didn't catch a thing but the kids had a good time knowing what patience is. Park is pretty clean and people are very friendly, one even came up to help us since we've never fished before.
Kids playground is good for any age.

This is a nice little park. Beautiful hiking/biking trails through the woods. The playground, though not large, is especially nice as they are scarce in this part of town. Nearby, draped in nature's majesty, is a scenic pond. My children and I often go there for a bit of fishing. They love to feed the ducks in the afternoon. But dont let the day slip away from you. The 8pm closing time should be STRICTLY followed! We played there a lot when I was a kid. One lazy summer day , we played a game of kick the can. I, like many kids, ensconced in the safety that childhood affords one, was ignorant of my surroundings. Suddenly!, awareness returned to me, all too late. The shadows had grown long and cold. Daylight slipped over the horizon. I looked around for a glimmer of hope, but my eyes were useless. I was enrobed in the inky blackness of a moonless night.... I cried out for help, but my screams were lost, too. They told me I was only missing for a few hours after the park closed. It felt like days.... a few years passed before I would speak of it or speak at all. This is a wonderful park and a great place for families, but heed my warning. Don't let the day get away from you and never stay there past closing. There are some strange happenings there at night. The old timers spoke of a spectral ship that would appear on those dark nights. In 1716, a Spanish galleon, returning home from the new world, was blown off course by a hurricane. It was last spotted off the coast of this small pond before it disappeared. Part of a treasure fleet, the ship was overloaded with gold and jewels plundered from the native people of South America who were slaughtered or enslaved by the Spanish conquistadors. Whereabouts of the sunken vessel are still unknown.

Waverly Park is my favorite mnt bike trail in the Louisville area. Great downhill sections. Wonderful flow section. Challenging climbs. Roughly 1000ft of elevation. I usually squeeze in almost 9 miles in one go around, thats with hitting most sections, if not all. Not a beginner ride if you dont have the legs? Though, i honestly wouldnt be afraid of it either. People tend to shy away from intermediate trails and this one isnt one i would be afraid of as a beginner. Challenging yes. There is 1000ft of elevation. So lots of climbs, but rewarding descents after the hard work is done. But then there you have to climb back up. My advise to a beginner on this trail is just be aware on the flow sections. Others will want to hit them fast. So just keep an eye out not to cause an accident. But that being said people shouldnt be going balls to the walls on public trails anyhow.

I would use something like the TrailForks app to guide you on sections, and keep you track. Trail is lots of fun and cant recommend it enough.
