My 15 year old daughter is in a mental Health facility receiving inpatient treatment after 1 year of out patient services. This inpatient facility had a 6 week program that fit my daughters needs for her mental health struggles with suicide, self harm, bipolar disorder, etc. After months of calling all mental health facilities offering inpatient on the East Coast, this was the only one that my insurance accepted. After only 1 1/2 weeks in the program our insurance company brought Dr Worrel on to review the case presented on my daughters behalf, everyone working with my daughter through this program stressed the importance of why my daughter needed to continue inpatient care and that she was not ready to return home and stressed that insurance needed to continue coverage for inpatient services. After Dr Worrel reviewed all information she went against everyone’s thoughts and concerns (our insurance, the program, and councilors ) she concluded my daughter did not meet criteria to receive inpatient services only outpatient ( which again she had already been receiving for a year with no improvement). I then was notified by the program since inpatient services would no longer be covered I would have to pay out of pocket $100 a day for her to stay. (Which we can not afford) My daughter was extremely upset because finally for the first time in years she was getting the help she needed to get better but still had a lot that she still needed. She was very worried and concerned that she would come back home and return to suicide and self harm because she had not finished treatment. This Dr Worrel has taken away my daughters only shot at inpatient care and we are back at square 1.
This “Doctor” is yet 1 more person we now have to add to the list of people who have failed my daughter. These people preach on the importance of mental health and how they all care and yet wonder why suicide is on the rise.
BECAUSE the truth is NO ONE CARES, NO ONE HELPS, THEY ALL TURN THEIR BACKS, and leave people with the only option which is to end it all because there is no help, there is no hope.

I saw dr worrell when u was newly out of a mental hospital and it was in a very critical time. I canceled and rescheduled more than she liked and she discharged me from her practice. I had no care and had to get on waiting lists for other providers at other offices
