I have been very pleased and impressed with all the items I have gotten altered at Cardinal Cleaners & Alterations. I found this place last year after moving here from Florida. Being petite I have struggled with making sure clothing fits me properly- from hemming to altering shoulders or waist. However, I was really impressed when damage (detergent cleaner dropped on the front side covering the left lapel) occurred to my brand new never worn leather designer jacket. I received several quotes on how much the repair would cost from other alteration businesses and leather specialist. I went with Cardinal Cleaners & Alterations since I had already had several items tailored and the price was very reasonable but was apprehensive about the leather fabric and not using a leather specialist. Nonetheless, I was immensely surprised and happy with her work! She magically fixed it and you cannot see the damage. I highly recommend Cardinal Cleaners & Alterations for all your needs. You will be impressed with her work and skill!

I brought a wedding dress in for alterations and was amazed by how well it fit afterwards. The seamstress quickly took a look at the dress, marked a few areas that needed to be expanded, and had it ready to wear in under two weeks. Highly recommend!

Really wonderful service! Came in and got 2 dresses altered. The second dress needed additional alterations and these were included in the original cost. The staff here are very friendly. Glad to have this place so close to home.

Needed to do a quick alteration and fix on my daughters coat. Came to this place and time and price was quoted. Came back at exact time and coat was fixed. The owner and other family members have always been kind. I've used this cleaners for a while now and I am always satisfied. It's not lost on me that I had a broken button on a shirt and they fixed it for me without me saying a thing; I totally forgot about it. They have also assisted me with getting my clothes to my vehicle which was unexpected. Thank you! I truly appreciate you both.

Cardinal Cleaners is my go-to cleaners. I expect to have clean and pressed clothes, reasonable prices and friendly service. To that end, Cardinal Cleaners delivers it all as I have dropped off silk ties, wool suits, tuxes, countless dress shirts, pants and a down comforter too. For background, I was a patron of the previous business at the same location, Green and White Cleaners. Ownership and management changed earlier this year to become Cardinal Cleaners. Many visits later and even after moving from the Dunn Loring area over to Maryland, I make the detour on my commute home to Cardinal Cleaners for my wardrobe cleaning needs. This is a family owned and operated small business, run by good people doing the right thing, that deserves your patronage.

I’ve been going to Cardinal Cleaners since they opened! I used to live in the area and moved yet I still go out of my way to get my dry cleaning and tailoring done here. Highly recommend! Quality and prices that can’t be beat.

Very happy with the suit alterations!

Took 5 pairs of pants last minute to get hemmed and tapered and they did an amazing job. It was fast, and the pants were ready in less than a week.

This is the best place to get your dry cleaning and alterations done in the entire Northern VA area. I love this place!

I still have to go back and pick up my pants from there, but I bring them all the way from Maryland. No other place does it better.

The only place I will take my clothes for dry cleaning and alterations and I come all the way from DC. The ownership has changed but the quality is still the same.

This dry cleaner used to be so helpful and easy to work with when it was under the previous owner. Went in 2 separate times and was not sufficiently helped with cleaning needs. The first was with a rug that had peed charcoal spilled on it. They wanted to charge$38 but were hesitant that it would be cleaned. Took it home sprayed with oxy clean and used color safe bleach and it looked brand new.

The second time was to have a toddlers dress steamed. They said they don't not have a steamer only an iron. Really a dry cleaner does not have a steamer?!? If they do alterations wouldn't the steam out any wrinkles before giving it back to a customer? I wouldn't trust them to dry clean my socks.

The price is the worst. I was given $18 for a skirt press/iron shorter than the knee, and the inner garment wasn’t even pressed. This is neighborhood business and they are swindle!! I will never go here again.
