great petco! i usually go to burke one but grew frustrated as all of there feeder insects were getting sold dead. this fairfax location is awesome! you can visibly see that there all wiggling and alive! also very large store and clean. big signs to point you in the right direction. will be getting my insects from here.

Very pleased with my experience. The employee was so courteous, friendly and helpful. I had gone in to do my first ever Happy Return (which got me a coupon, was very easy, and I would do again) and I found a great selection of items for my menagerie of pets.

I had to return a dog toy that broke very soon after I bought it. The return was easy and quick and there were lots of replacement toys to choose from. Good selection and nice clearance prices too.

Kate, and Brandon helped my and my partner in AQ and getting a piebald Ball python. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Ben at checkout was very kind. Great people.

We bought our female betta fish Artemis 2 floating moss balls here. The staff were prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. We would come again. The animals and fish looked healthy. I liked the variety of bettas as well.

Na Kim is an outstanding Dog Groomer at Petco. My dog, Angel is happy to have Na take care of her and so am I !

I never write reviews…I went in today to pick out a fish with my kids. I am so glad I came here…we met Brandon, who was AMAZING. He answered all our questions, gave us some great guidance and helped us get started with everything we needed without being pushy or salesy. Most of all, he is passionate and gave us such great service. I was honestly so surprised at the level of customer service from a chain store. Thank you, Brandon!!

The Fairfax location once in a while has an interesting selection of fish that you normally don't see at most pet stores. The tanks are very clean and the aquatic plant selection is quite healthy.
The store also supports my favorite cat rescue organization. The kittens and cats are well taken care of and most are friendly. We've even adopted a kitten from there. This is one of my favorite local store to get aquarium supplies.
Petco has a vast selection of cast food, treats and supplies. My cats love the Tiki Cat brand of wet food and treats.

I had a great experience shopping here for aquarium maintenance products! Veronika’s customer service was top notch, she even helped me find a very good discount deal online and applied it to my purchase on the spot.

On time. Professional! It was my very first visit. Doctor and her assistant are very knowledgeable and well managed my cat who would be always frightened. My cat just sit still for vaccination seemed very comfy. They went over vaccination history and made me a recommendation. I am very pleased with petco and would use them again.

Truly grateful to the grooming staff here. My Jazz is 14 years old and suffering with some medical issues and Pet Smart didn’t feel comfortable grooming him anymore. I almost gave up on getting him groomed but I decided to make an appt with Petco and I’m so happy I did. The young lady that checked me in was so wonderful and she thoroughly checked Jazz over and went over the paperwork & I felt relaxed leaving my baby. His groomer did such a wonderful job grooming him. I was very pleased when I picked Jazz up. I feel bad because I forgot his name. I don’t know how much time my Jazz has left but I wanted him to look good, smell good and feel good. So a BIG THANKS to you guys.

Great service for tropical fish from Andrew i returned on Saturday June 3 and was told Andrew was let go. He was a very knowledgeable fish expert and a great person so i wish him all the best. Petco has lost a real asset.

I had Vicky give me excellent advice and recommendations for dog food and treats. She took time out of her day to walk me around and show me specifically what she recommended, and I really appreciated that. Also, I have a large german shepherd, and his bag of food is also large haha, and they even offered to help carry it to my car. I just love how thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind this store is. I drive out of my way to go to this store, specifically, and I think their staff should be praised and acknowledged for their exceptional service.
