Great location in Arlington and easy access to DC. Nice apartments, convenient parking garage, suitable gym, and very helpful staff. Any and all issues -- whether in my apartment itself or the building -- were addressed promptly.

Fatima is the sweetest front desk receptionist I have ever met. They have amazing social skills and etiquette, and are fun to have a conversation with. I hope they continue to get the recognition they deserve from management and guests.

Overall experience of applying and getting the lease signed was very smooth and fast. Karen Pedemonte was very helpful throughout this journey and making the move easy. Thank you Ballston Place team!

I moved into Ballston Place just about a month ago and I love it here. This is my first apartment out of college and Karen and the front desk staff have been incredibly helpful in making me feel settled in. I had some minor issues when I first moved and the front desk helped me to address them immediately. I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of my tenancy!

Great building, fantastic location, really good facilities. Gym is on the smaller side, but in line with most residential buildings. Apartments are renovated, really nice. The staff is fantastic, very helpful and friendly. In particular I'd like to thank Keisha Carter for making my residence a very pleasant experience, as well as Lisa and James at the front desk. You guys are great! If I ever move back to Arlington I'd definitely go back to the building.

Moving in to Ballston Place has been an easy and enjoyable process. Sonny and her team worked above and beyond to help find the appropriate apartment for me and my roommate. When I first arrived, Sonny came out to introduce herself to me which was extremely thoughtful and completely unnecessary of her to do. The front desk has been extremely responsive and answered every little question I have had. When I first moved in there was some maintenance issues that were fixed within 24 hours. As a first time renter, I have been really impressed by their willingness to help and ensure that this process goes smoothly for their residents. Looking forward to living here!

I've lived in Avalon Ballston Place for eight months and find it a great place to live. The the front desk staff are friendly, professional, and helpful and really helped me with settling into the area when I first arrived.
The building routinely provides opportunities for residents to get together which is great for newcomers. The apartment is comfortable and clean, has everything I need like a dishwasher, washer and dryer, and is also surprisingly quiet for such a large building. The maintenance team are extremely responsive to maintenance requests. Lots of places to eat nearby, and the dry cleaners and convenience store on site are very handy, as is the less than a five minute walk to the metro!

The apartment building is very well maintained and they are very responsive to any and all maintenance requests. The maintenance crew are all so friendly and I also really appreciate their continued support throughout the current pandemic. The apartment was very responsive to the pandemic, providing hand sanitizers throughout the common areas, providing quick updates, implementing safeguards through the community and communicating with all of the residents every week.

In addition to the maintenance crew, the front desk and Corissa, Iliana, and Ed in the leasing office have been beyond amazing. They are always very available and responsive to any requests or questions and are very welcoming and friendly.

Along with a great community of people, the apartment features very nice accommodations and some of the largest apartments you can get in the area for reasonable prices. The building is also located perfectly between Clarendon, Quincy park, Ballston quarter with many bars and restaurant with a more residential feel.

I would highly recommend living here based on my positive experience over the last few years.

AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PLACE TO LIVE! From touring Ballston Place to signing our lease and moving in, the entire experience has been perfect. I’ve lived in many different apartment complexes all over the US and have never been happier moving in somewhere new! My apartment is very reasonably priced, has a stunning view of D.C. as well as all of Arlington, and has a new modern interior. The parking garage is safe and very spacious. The gym is well equipped and the computer room has plenty of Macs/PCs. The common area is very big and you can always find friendly people hanging out. The pool is HUGE and there’s plenty of space for all of the fun events that the Ballston Place puts on (and there’s a hot tub I mean come on)! Honestly, the best part of Ballston Place is their team. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. I’m continually impressed when the rotating people at the front desk remember my name and they are always making improvements (the Amazon lockers are a great touch)! The leasing manager, Ed Theil, stands out because he was the first team member we met and made an OUTSTANDING impression on me and my roommate. Ed never made us feel pressured or rushed to make a decision and I didn’t hesitate to sign again a year later. We toured 14 different apartment complexes and know that there are plenty of places to live in the area. Ballston Place made the decision a no-brainer and I’d happily recommend living here to anyone!

We have been at Ballston Place for about 7 months now and have had an amazing experience this far.

Our first, consistent, and reliable interaction with Akelius has been through Ed Thiel. From my first steps into the building for our walkthrough to answering my texts past business hours, Ed has exceeded our expectations with customer service and general hospitality.

The amenities here are perfect. A lot of work has gone into upping the lobby area, new pool area, Amazon lockers, and direct access to street front shops. There have been a few minor issues with the upgrades, but they were addressed and taken care of in a matter of days.

The front desk staff is constantly cordial and extremely helpful. Even in the midst of the holidays, they facilitated the exchange of hundreds of packages seamlessly.

Maintenance has worked with us quite well. There were some initial requests we had which we handled promptly and when they come into our apartment to do preventative maintenance, they are always nice and respectful of our space. Pierre is great and so are his coworkers.

The living space is large and quiet. The price per sq ft is better than many other apartment complexes in the area, especially considering dogs and cats are allowed.

The residential programs are unique and community focused. All the residents here seem very nice. We have had no negative interactions with any one here!

I’ve been living at the Avalon Ballston Place for about a month now and I absolutely love it! They have everything I want: an open kitchen layout, washer and dryer in the unit, clean facility, walking distance to the metro and most importantly they are pet friendly. I feel like I found my dream apartment!

What makes it even better to live here is how friendly and accommodating the management and staff are. I had the pleasure of working with Yannick and Jay from the management office for my move. They answered all of my questions and made my move-in process a smooth and stress-free transition. I also appreciate that I can stop by the management office anytime and Jay, Yannick and Ted are always welcoming.

Another great part about living at the Avalon Ballston Place is their 24 hour front desk concierge. I’m new to the area and Sandy gave me some good insights on where I can take my dog on hikes or for grooming. It’s also convent to be able to pick up my packages anytime.

Overall I’m really happy with my new apartment and love living at the Avalon because it has all the amenities I want with a very friendly management team!

Front desk staff is incredible, extremely friendly and always there to help. Location is great. Only concerns I have is that the gym is very small, I go to the Gold's across the street and the parking garage is $70 a month for extremely small spots (need to make 5 point turns to park) construction of garage could've been way better. Otherwise, very accommodating building, very clean, and they are currently upgrading carpets and hallways. If anything needs to be fixed in your apartment, they fix it immediately, no complaints about staff or building. Great place to live.

I've lived at Avalon Ballston Place for over 2 years and am sad to leave! It has been a great home for many reasons. The apartment itself is clean and well kept, it's conveniently located, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Jay made my move-out/transfer process painless and personally took his time to help me find my new Avalon apartment in Maryland. I couldn't ask for a better place to live!

Great, well-run building. Leasing office was quick and efficient. Had a couple of very minor maintenance issues which were fixed quickly, usually within 12 hrs. My unit is basically soundproof. No complaints. I’ve lived in several buildings in the area, and this ranks among the best.

Our experience with the Ballston Place community and leasing manager Mr. Gatling has been great thus far! Mr. Gaitling is always attentive to our needs and responds to any requests immediately. The location is in a great area and in walking distance to many shops and eateries. We would highly recommend this community and the Akelius company.

I have been at Avalon Ballston Place for 6 months now and love everything about it! The staff, maintenance, front desk workers and leasing agents are all amazing! Daysha is the one who helped me through the process of moving in and signing my lease, she was such a huge help and made it a smooth transition into the city!!! I would most definitely recommend this apartment complex to any young vibrant working professional in the city! My roommate and I love it here!!

I am a new renter and I must say my experience has been great so far! I love my new place and the staff is amazing especially Wardell. The staff as a whole have been very accommodating to all of my requests. I must admit the previous reviews were scary but this management team is wonderful! Don’t hesitate to rent here trust me; you are in good hands!

I landed on Ballston Place after an exhausting and extensive apt search because the leasing manager Wardell was really great to work with and made the search easier for me. He was flexible and accessible from the start, demonstrated exemplary patience and understanding, and was generally a pleasant individual to work with. I eventually decided that a move was not in the cards for me at the moment, but when I am ready, I'll definitely consider Ballston Place as my top choice and hope to work with Wardell when I do.

I recently moved into this complex and the process was extremely smooth and positive. Sonny in the leasing office helped me every step of the way and was extremely kind. I have just started living here but so far have had no issues or complaints. I had one work order involving something minor that was fixed a couple hours after I requested it. So far it has been great and a place I would definitely recommend!

I've been a resident at Avalon Ballston Place for over a year. Compared to other communities I have been apart of, the Avalon team goes above and beyond. The maintenance folks always respond extremely promptly when I have a request. The front desk is super responsive and friendly. The leasing team is tremendously helpful in regards to any inquiries I have. In particular, Yannick, the new leasing rep, is always there to help even with the most mundane issues. Kudos to the service. These guys rock.
