Glencarlyn Park abuts my back yard, so I have an incredible view all year long. Wildlife come into our yard from the park on a daily basis. Some of the animals include: barred owls, deer, foxes, raccoons, a pair of Coopers Hawk nesting nearby, box turtles, and recently a black coyote.

excellent park hidden away for bike trail with elevation , creek and large play area for kids

A nice new place to stop on the north/west side of Columbia Pike off the WO&D trail. There are picnic tables, benches, a water fountain and a small circle for kids to practice riding their bikes. A few tenths of a mile further along the trail is a larger park with a playground, BBQ grills and another picnic area.

This is nice rest area on W&OD for filing water and deposing any trash. They have various displays to educate about Chesapeake Bay watershed and pollution. This area have children play area along with adult stretching area.

Nice park for toddlers - one of the few with a real sand pit. Very clean and modern equipment.

Lovely covered patio with plenty of public grills! Watch the access road, it's a two way road but absolutely not wide enough for 2 cars to pass.

Nice park with beautiful walking/biking trails (paved), picnic area, and playground. Public restrooms on site.

Great place to hike and walk your dog. Has a dog free leash area. Well maintained with picnic areas.
