Nice little library. Can't say no to free books.

So easy to choose books online and have them pull it for me. I just pick it up!

lots of places to sit and read both inside the library and right outside, and they have quite a large selection of manga (more than other alameda libraries i've been to)

Exceptional library. Great collections, carefully thought out: large print books, decorating books, new books. Good hold system, a pretty space with artwork and dedicated sections for teens and kids, and adjacent event and meeting rooms, all make it a lively community hub.

A lovely local library. I would say most people are very nice and helpful here. And I do like the kids around, they make this little library even livelier.

Yeah it's a bit noisy at times because it truly serves the entire community from young to old, rich to poor. However, the extent of services are unmatched in most ways and this library is a very welcome place for a wide range of people, including those less inclined to use typical "library" services. I have to commend Albany for creating a library that offers so much for almost anyone willing to step inside. While not the most extensive library in The Bay Area, it is hands down my favorite and certainly the most comfortable.

This local library is chock-full of everything one wants in a library -- books, music, videos, computer time and knowledgeable staff. It isn't just a branch library, it's Albany's library, although it is quite nice to have a connection to the Alameda County Library's system, too. And if what you want isn't listed there, be sure to look up your title in Link+, a resource like the old "interlibrary loan," whereby regional libraries hook together to give local clients the materials they want.

I think it is good to keep in mind that a library is a lot more than a reading room these days. It is a place where kids can gather to research materials and to study, for adults to use free computer services and for everyone to find a wide variety of things to read, watch and listen to. Is it noisy? Well, yes. You will need to look elsewhere for quiet space.

So appreciate my local library and libraries in general. The public library is available to all across the United States. So great of a resource and need to be supported.

I had trouble resetting my library pin online and so I went to the library and the librarian was very glad to help me and took care of this situation in just a few minutes.
