Very caring doctor who explained everything in detail. I didn't feel rushed at all.

The practitioners and staff at Family Healthcare of Fairfax are supportive in all ways whether it be scheduling of appointments, advice, education or helping with getting support from other doctors. Vanessa their first line scheduler is cheerful, humorous and gets things taken care of quickly. The telemedicine aspect works very well, and their alternative medical meeting help. We got our flu shots at their outdoor shot clinic in less than five minutes. During covid they came to your car to test you. I appreciate the information in the monthly newsletters. A very people oriented practice.

Going to my doctor's appointments is like a homecoming. Full of laughter and good cheer. The team is professional, thorough, and seems to know more about me than I do. Even after the needle pokes and coaching me up to take my health condition a little more serious, I always leave with a smile on my face and feeling like a million bucks. Really do appreciate the fabulous TEAM!

Family Healthcare of Fairfax , PC is the medical office to reach out to when there’s health issue. Dr. Shmorhun and his team work very hard to exceed patients expectations. Dr. Shmorhun listens and understands your health problem and help take care of it before it’s too late. My husband and I, we been with Dr. Shmorhun for many years. He and his staff are exceptional group of healthcare professionals who cares for their patients well being. Highly recommended Family Healthcare of Fairfax.

Dr Shmorhun practices medicine the way it used to be. he takes his time, answers all questions and takes care of you without rushing. He is smart and a good clinician. He does not run an assembly line and he explains clearly why he is ordering and (more importantly) why he is not ordering a particularly test. He is an excellent doctor. His staff is friendly, helpful and supportive.

Have been seeing Dr. Shmorhun since he started the practice (when our oldest was a baby). That was more than 30 years ago! I can say, without any hesitation, that choosing Dr. Shmorhun as our primary care physician was one of the best decisions of our life! He and his entire staff have been so wonderful, so caring, so responsive. They view health holistically, and have been able to treat nearly every issue the four of us have had in-house. When it's something of more concern (e.g. a specialist is warranted), they carefully give us recommendations and stay on top of the follow-up conclusions and notes from the other specialist(s). I've been seeing Cathy Tong for years, too, and she is so thorough and caring and helpful!

One of the best parts -- and that I think is a real differentiator between Dr. S. and his staff and other doctors/practices: They really listen. It's not about them telling someone what to do; they listen, they weigh options, they discuss, they consult. It's a team effort.

The nursing staff have always been great as well. Again, that caring, attentive attitude is always evident. And they provide the gentlest shots/vaccines ... barely feel the needle!

Finally ... and last but not least ... when you call the office or go for a visit ... you will always hear and see the most cheerful, friendly attitude displayed by office manager/receptionist and "welcomer" Vanessa.

Most recently, Dr. Shmorhun's ability to secure Covid vaccines for the office was SO appreciated. The ongoing email messages to keep us all informed about Covid news were EXTREMELY thorough ... and SO VALUED!

Family Healthcare of Fairfax is a wonderful family practice with very capable practitioners in Dr Schmorhun and NP Cathy Tong. Indeed the whole staff is friendly and focused on your well being. They have a concierge approach to providing health care and help you find referrals for specialized services, ensuring all aspects of care are covered.
We have been with them a good while, so they have a long term view of my health. I appreciate the time they take to listen and work with me on issues. I admire their flexibility and that they have embraced new technology and televisits which served them well in this covid crisis.
There is a great deal to their personalized approach that helps keep me on track. They have a newsletter that provides advice and use email to discuss current issues so you stay informed, which was greatly appreciated during the crisis. They helped separate myth from science without condescension.
And just calling in to hear Vanessa their receptionist sing out 'Good Morning' is a wonderful bonus in this practice.
Kara their incredibly capable nurse is a wonderful resource to help you understand what you need to do and is so helpful with insurance, pharmacy, and other doctors' office practices.
We were so very fortunate to connect with this practice and its encompassing support. A real family practice.

Family Healthcare of Fairfax is very professional, provides excellent patient care and support. They have been very helpful and supportive when my mother suffered a stroke. They offered support while she was in the hospital and even came out to visit her. Post hospitalization, they followed up with Mom and provided recommendations for home care. I feel comfortable knowing I can count on Family Healthcare of Fairfax for our medical care.

Dr Shmorhun and NP Cathy Tong has been my primary healthcare professionals since 2002. They have seen me through some horrible health crises and always do more than is needed to help and they do it with compassion. Dr Shmorhun's diagnostic skills are renowned so I have been able to get preventive care before it all goes sideways. The staff at this facility are also way above average and the nurses go to bat for you, cutting through the red tape of insurance road blocks and making a slow-to-respond provider jump a little higher. Shout out to Vanessa for doing an awesome job at the front desk. Highly recommend.

I went to them for my immigration physical, and they are the nicest people I've ever met. All the staff is carrying, friendly and highly professional. I highly recommend them.

I'm an active person so naturally I deal with (frequently) minor back, right knee and ankle sprains and pains. So I searched for a doctor who would be a match for my needs. I chose Doc Shmorhum based on my thorough due diligence and I've been very pleased with his expertise and knowledge. It's been about 3 years since I've been his patient. His comments and recommendations have resonated with me and my friends (referred) as well. Great Doctor!

I love these guys. They take great care of me. They have since we moved to Virginia 29 years ago now. Before they had to transfer all the records to computer, my chart looked like a volume of War and Peace thickness wise. Glad I could keep there upper arm strength up. Sorry for the carpel tunnel they probably got tranferring it.

Been with this practice since I was a kid (1990?) and now they’re looking after my husband and daughter’s health. I love that they make you feel like part of their family and don’t treat you like a number. They pay attention to your needs and truly care about you and your health and well-being.

Caring and professional experience. I feel safe. They are proactive about preventive actions and always available when some illness or injury needs treatment. They take the time to treat my whole body not just one issue at a time.
