If you live local, consider yourself lucky! I drive from the OBX to have Sammie do my hair extensions because it’s guaranteed AMAZING results every time. The hair stays silky and smooth, install is always quick and most importantly done right! I’ve tried to go to other stylists closer by to no avail as my extensions were put in incorrectly (potentially causing permanent hair loss) and then another time the stylist mistakenly cut the wefts and destroyed them. I highly recommend Sammie and her salon. All staff are so welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

One of THE BEST experiences at a salon I’ve ever had! Shawn, thank you for not only an AMAZING balayage and haircut (if only the pictures would do that perfect blonde some justice), but for making the time go by so quick! Going to get my hair done used to feel like such a chore, but I just got to spend my afternoon laughing and getting to know such a great guy in the process. What a difference!

I would follow stylist (and owner) Sammie Leary across the ocean for her quality hair services! Sammie has been in charge of keeping my coiffure ultra hip and sexy for over the last 10 years. She can literally do it all- from being at the forefront of trends like balayage, mermaid hair, blunt bob cuts, etc. To being a master of classic styles and hues as well. And if you wanna do a temporary hair pick-me-up, Greater Than Sparrows carries it’s signature line of premium hair extensions in every length and color imaginable, so you can play around with the current trend but not totally commit! And remember when I wrote that I’d follow Sammie across the ocean for her hair services? I literally did that last year when Sammie flew to Sint Maarten to create the most beautiful bridal looks for me and my bridesmaids at my wedding last Spring!

I had the opportunity to take advantage of the special I found on 4 sessions of EMSZERO at GTS Salon. From the first time I called and spoke to Katie, it was a very pleasant experience. She made my wife and I feel like family and even entertained our 2 kids a couple times during our treatments. She took the time to answer all my questions and explain exactly how the machine worked. After my treatment, I must say I am very pleased with my results! My core looks and feels amazing and has even boosted other core workouts! I would encourage anyone who is on the fence regarding this treatment to give it a go! You will not be disappointed!

I went for a normal haircut and was explaining my passion for bodybuilding and competing then Sammie recommended The emsculpt machine. It’s their muscle building machine it was amazing. I saw results very fast right away. Nice clean place with tons to offer!

Katie is absolutely wonderful! The 1st time I walked into the salon I was greeted with her welcoming friendly smile . She has a very real honest and bubbly personality as well is very knowledgeable about the services provided . Definitely makes you want to continue to go there!

I've never gone in for a hair service and come out looking and feeling better than ever expected. They really know what they're doing and make sure you're happy with your service. I felt pretty for the first time in about 8 years, and it was nice to sit and relax in the massaging wash station and have nice conversation with nice people.

Highly recommend! I've been a customer of this salon for years, and their menu of superior services and products keep me coming back. It's a one stop shop for all of your beauty needs. The staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly and keep the environment fun and exciting for all of their customers. I've never felt pressured to purchase, or disappointed with their quality of services vs price. I leave feeling my best, almost like a new woman and look forward to every visit.

Transformed not only my face but my confidence!! I gave up on botox & dysport a year ago after spending tons of money and I was not recieving desired results, not even close. My 11 lines and forehead lines remained no matter how many units I had injected and mine were pretty intense for only being in my mid 30's. I made an appointment with Nurse Tara Foerster recieving Xeomin and I couldn't be happier. I began seeing results almost immediately and after day 3 all my wrinkles are gone and back to a youthful smooth face. (Typically full results take about 2 weeks) the price point was very reasonable and with my membership I recieved a generous discount. The staff was very friendly and I absolutely loved my nurse; outgoing and also very informative. I highly recommend!!!

Shawn West is the real deal, this man deserves a raise! I came to get a haircut after getting a really ugly perm. I immediately felt like I'd known him for years. He cut and styled my hair PERFECTLY. His meticulous precision when cutting hair is well worth the money spent. I haven't had such a good haircut in years! He even helped me pick out some awesome new Olaplex products to make my perm more tolerable. I will be going to him from now on!

I went to get chemical peels. It was a pleasant and relaxing experience and an effective procedure. While discussing my concerns with Sherri I decided to get Botox at my next appointment. I’m so excited about the next treatments and will definitely return to this salon.

Shawn West is fantastic! I don’t know what I would do without him because my hair is very difficult to cut correctly. He’s never been judgmental when I explain about all my hair issues, cuts my hair exactly the way I asked, I always walk out with a perfect haircut and get complements. (He’s also a pleasure to spend time with).

Wow!! This is what you imagine when going to a salon to get pampered! I personally don't know a lot about hair and style so it is always a stressful experience getting my hair done. Luckily, here at Greater than Sparrows I immediately felt at ease. The inside of the salon is very clean, warm, and inviting. You really get the feeling that the stylists enjoy working here. Sammie was my stylist and she really delivered! Like I said, I'm definitely not a professional when it comes to hair but even with my vague description of what I wanted, she gave me "The most gorgeous hair color! I've never seen your hair look so great!"- this is the response from my Boyfriend when I came home. There were so many unexpected added touches like the reclining and massaging chairs when they wash your hair, amazing hair care products that made my blonde hair feel softer than ever, and my favorite- a warm damp cloth that she placed on my head/forehead after washing my hair. I was completely blown away!! After visiting another salon in the area (paying the same price and feeling in the way and as though they couldn't wait for me to leave so they could take my money) this experience blew me away! I am so thankful that I found my new salon!! Before my visit was finished, I was already looking forward to my next visit! Not only is this an amazing salon, but I guarantee you will leave feeling like you just made new friends with everyone working there. I am sure that whether you know exactly what you want or are open to suggestions- you will leave feeling brand new, energized, and rocking a gorgeous style!

I have been coming here for about two years now and absolutely love it! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Marisa is amazing stylist and always takes care of my cut, color, and keratin treatments. She always listens to what I want out of my appointment and never disappoints!
