These folks have stuck with us through thick and thin, and they always have a great choice, lots to choose from and thoughtful and kind service. This is one of my favorite shops in Berkeley.

Great shopping experience. The shop owner is very kind and happy to help you with anything. I was able to get black oiled leather Boston Birkenstocks.

They have lots of shoe repair services including resoleing Birkenstocks.

I had worn through the heels of my Birkenstocks and took them here to be repaired. They were super friendly, explained what the cobbler would do (they outsource this piece) and gave me a timeframe for the repair (about a week). My sandals came back quicker than they thought they would, were perfectly repaired, AND they sealed the cork around the entire sandal! My shoes are back to new feeling, look great, and the repair was a fraction of the price of new ones. Very happy with Elmwood Village Shoes and glad to have such a great resource nearby.

Wonderful local shoe shop. The guy there (possibly the owner?) helped me get the perfect Blundstones and showed me some fine details about my shoe size. The selection is great, with shoes that are both stylish, comfortable, and well made. I'm certain these boots will carry me around for years. Glad this local shop carries them! Definitely coming back next time I need a new pair of shoes.

This was the first store we visited since the pandemic started. The staff was so helpful and kind. They've taken their safety precautions seriously and I felt comfortable the entire time. I walked out with 2 new pairs of shoes. The salesman suggested a pair of sandals (after seeing the cheap ones I had on) and as soon as I put them on, my knees felt better. That is the kind of personal, thoughtful expertise I needed. I've been meaning to get better shoes for a while, and I am so glad I shopped here rather than buying online. Thank you for your help!

Outstanding service-the kind of expertise you CAN'T GET FROM THE INTERNET. Have been delighted for years to get great shoes that I can go go on long walks in, (I don't drive and have wide feet plus some ankle issues) and yet always feel am wearing something quite good looking :)

I get my shoes repaired here, and they are fast, not too expensive, and always come back looking like new.
